I went to this store twice to pick up a $900 TV I had already decided to buy, and both times the staff was so rude I walked away from the deal. The first time I asked a salesman in the store to get the TV out of storage so I could pay. Instead of doing that, he asked me if I needed HDMI cables or a surge protector, and I told him I had all that and was all set. He insisted I may still need to replace them depending on age, and I replied that I knew the specs of my HDMI cable and was all set. This went on much longer then it should have. Then, when I asked him about the return policy, he turned around with a grin replying `What was that? I repeated my question and he repeated his reply as if to bully me, so I walked away. He shouted `Sir after me several times in very agressive way and eventually slammed something on his sales desk that I couldnt see because I had my back turned to him. I went home and ordered the same TV online, to pick it up at the store. When I got there, I brought my old TV in to get recycled, because I was told at my previous visit that the store would do that. Instead, the friendly woman at the customer service desk -- her name was Rebecca -- told me they only take TVs 32 inches and smaller (mine was 42) and the recycler would charge them $100 to get rid of my old TV, so I would have to do that myself. I told her I was going to pick up a 46 inch TV right there and would reconsider. Instead of trying to appease me she told me to go ahead but do it online as she couldnt take the order cancellation. So I went home without the new TV and cancelled the order. Ill get it at Sears for the same price. To be fair, there were several really nice and knowledgeable sales people at this store, including a couple of college kids who I dealt with before. But I dont understand how a store manager can tolerate behavoiur like this even when its an exception. Looking at the reviews for this store, I dont think Im the only one outraged by some of the people working there. Ill try to avoid Best Buy from now on.

Worst Employees in Region Employees Flirting, Swearing and Sitting on the job. It must be so much fun to work at this place. The management lets you just hangout and socialize. You can hear the male employees joke about a fist fight over the weekend to impress the girl cashiers and the girl cashiers are giving back rubs to the men they work with. Its a party and they get paid to just hangout. To be fair I have been to Best Buys in other cities before and experienced decent customer service, nothing amazing but nothing to complain about, but the Best Buy in Salem NH is hilarious. Its always the same and my last visit was at 2pm on Tuesday it was not busy, so for a simple plug it should have not taken long to get help, but it took longer than it should of. Only one person in the entire store was wokring and he helped me. Right as I was getting ready to check out, I had noticed the staff was bad before, but I never really looked at it from a far so to speak. I stopped took a moment and looked around. As I began to look out at the entire store i decided it would be fun to walk around looking at the big picture and all I saw Lazy workers all more concerned with not working. This Best Buy is not understaffed, just the opposite. The staff was hiding in all the corners of the store. Not one sales rep was in the center areas. Infact what they were doing was walking from one side of the store to preform a task and then go to another to chill out for a while. It was like home depot. They see you and if you are more than 15 feet away they walk away before you can catch them LOL. Its true. I tested it. Try it yourself on a weekday afternoon, its funny if you dont mind being ignored. The Employees are more interested in talking to each other and taking it easy than helping a customer! This is one of the worst chain business I have ever been. I mean Walmart is better than this place.

My experience was anything BUT good with BestBuy. My wife and I purchased a Frigidaire Side-by-Side Refrigerator this past week. Delivery was promised by Saturday. The refrigerator was delivered that afternoon as promised but the two people who delivered it were rushed, had another 7 refrigerators to handle (ours was 7th of what they already did) and it was 4:30 in the afternoon. They wanted to get going so they didnt instruct us on the use of the product nor installed the door components. That was left to us. The components were in a box within the frig which we took out and tried to get to fit. They, obviously, were intended for a much larger refrigerator. They were at least 1/2-1 inch took wide to fit. I called BestBuy and notified them of our difficulty. At that time, the ice maker wasnt working. It eventually did work. Now all we needed was the right components for the frig door. I spent another wonderful hour on the phone to get to someone who could fix our problem. Finally I spoke to a Debbie, a PT worker (no benefits - PT hours - you know the story that big box stores tell) who told me that she could not expedite anything. That her predecessor who took our original call (via VM) had put in the order. We were then told that itd be between 5-10 business days (2 weeks) before wed have a complete refrigerator. Wonderful. This big box store knows the game as well as the best player in their league. Make sure the customer cant get to a supervisor (FT with benefits employee) to improve the service and timeline. The PTer told me that she was unable to transfer me to her supervisor - "she wasnt AUTHORIZED TO DO SO" as a PTer. VERY interesting - Interesting - interesting, etc. God help us all from BIG BROTHER CORPORATE AMERICA.

We bought a washer and dryer from best buy. Our sales associate Angel was great. We had a coupon for 10% off, that he was happy to accept, however because the coupon didnt have a barcode, he had to ask another associate to assist in entering it. The associate Chris, was very rude to us, and said they couldnt accept our coupon, which would have saved us 120.00. Being a family with 6 children, that is a big deal. Also the day we were scheduled to pick up, my husband asked that I call ahead so they could have it ready when we got there. I had to call the Salem NH store THREE times, and it just rang and rang and rang. Finally on the fourth attempt, someone answered and said they could not get our washer and dryer ready, we had to show up with the paperwork. He spoke very fast and was clearly in a rush. I dont believe that statement to be true,I think either he was too lazy or too busy to bother with our request. We are at the end of the road with almost all of our appliances, and will NOT be returning to Best Buy for our dishwasher, fridge, over the range microwave, or our stove. Honestly customer service is a big deal to consumers. It can make or break it for a customer to return in the future. Sorry best buy, we will be shopping elsewhere.
