I recently purchased a 2010 Harley Davidson Road King from National Powersports. The bike itself came exactly as promised. Great condition (aside from the battery tender cable resting on my exhaust which melted the first time I rode). I cant complain about that. What I CAN complain about is the customer service that the sales/parts manager Lonnie provided. Their website says they ship the bike right to your door (for $699) which isnt exactly true.... My bike was delivered by Old Dominion and the crate was in shambles when the truck backed up to my driveway. I dont know whether it was poorly crated or mishandled by OD. Regardless, pieces of wood were resting on my bike and the crate couldnt be moved off the truck without falling apart. I had to climb inside the back of the 40 foot truck and disassemble it inside. Then I had to push to bike and hold it off the back of the liftgate while two drivers assisted. The delivery took over two hours just to get the bike off the truck and I tweaked my back in the process! When I called to discuss, Lonnie assured me he would make things right by offering to refund some, if not all, of the shipping. I sent him multiple pictures of the crate and of me lowering my $13,000 bike off the back of a truck. A week went by and I had to call back and Lonnie told me he hadnt heard back from HIS manager about any refund. ANOTHER week went by and I called Lonnie and he finally just gave me a number to call Old Dominion to handle it myself. WTF???! What kind of service is that? Great bike. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SHIPPING. NEVER AGAIN (which sucks because I was already looking at another bike of theirs too).

John, Canada, April 9, 2012. I bought the bike (2010 Goldwing) in December, sight unseen (except for the pictures). I had them store the bike for me until April. It was a rough winter as I had never forked out that much money on something I hadnt seen. The weather was good so I ventured down the last weekend of March to pick it up. It had been an anxious 3 plus months. The bike was as described... Beautiful!!!!. The staff had been very helpful on the phone and were more so once I arrived. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Stan was one of the first contacts I made there, but many more were involved. I would try to name them all but fear I would miss someone, so just a big thank you to all the staff, from the gal who did such a good job making the bikes look good, to the service guys/gals, to the sales and finance staff. They were all super helpful. Best vehicle buying experience I ever had. I would highly recommend National Powersports to anyone looking for a good used bike. The biggest surprise to me was that there was a recall that came out for the bike around the same time as I bought it, and when I called to ask them about it, found that they had taken care of it BEFORE the final payment had gone it. My wife and I rode the bike back to New Brunswick, Canada and the temp never got above 45 F. But we enjoyed it! Now if spring would come back to this part of the world, wed enjoy it even more. If you are looking for a bike, check out NPD, you wont be sorry.

Picked up a bike this spring. Purchasing process was easy as I did not need financing. Within a few hundred miles, a gross oil leak was observed. The bike had been issued a NH safety inspection with a gross oil leak puking oil all over the rear tire. This is where everything got weird. The service department is a complete mess. The company is growing too fast for their own good and can not keep up with demand. After the bike being back in the shop for a week, no RO had been created yet. Then, 3 weeks later the bike had yet to be fixed because a readily available seal was "out of stock". Then I got the bike back and the oil was never cleaned up from the leak. On top of all that, I get the bike back after a month and the bike was still leaking. The service department is amature at best and needs good leadership. I did eventually get ahold of someone with the pay grade to actually help me out. The bike was picked up from my residence for a second attempt at fixing a trivial oil leak. Amazingly, this time they got it! After another 500mi the oil leak returned because the countershaft bolt was not tightened properly. Needless to say, I will not be buying another bike from national power sports. Their retail prices are only of value if the product has actually been gone through. The state of NH would be very unhappy with their inspection process as this mistake posed great safety hazard. Hopefully some serious management changes are made within their failing service department.

Trying to get a straight answer from the customer representative was very frustrating. I can see this place has alot of business and great inventory as I was very interested in getting a bike. I applied for finance and was turned down, so I called National Powersport to see if they could help me out with financing. Financing department never called me to tell me exactly why I was turned down and I would of liked to have known because then it gives me an idea of what I can do from there. I dont have bad credit as I am from Australia and just moved here. I Talked to a representative there who said they would work something out for me. I got a call back from Terry saying they had good news and that they would allow me to put a grand down. I just called back today to find out when we could start the payment plan and his response was "oh no we cant do that and let it go to far out". Not only was this a waste of my time, but this was a total disappointnent from given the "OK" to "we cant let it go to far out!". On their website they claim to work from bad credit to NO credit and yet they TURNED ME DOWN! They need to remove that line from their website and stop using lines like that to decieve people into thinking they would be able to purchase a bike regardless of the out come.

Bad business practices. I bought a BMW K1200GT in June of last year for $8000. My new schedule doesnt really have a lot of time in it for such things so since they buy bikes I figured I would sell it back to them. After the dealer went on and on about how BMWs keep their value so well and that was why the price was so high, they told me 9 months later when I went to sell it back to them that though it only had an additional 500 miles on it and had been kept in a heated garage, that it had depreciated $3000 (more than a third of the purchase price). Meanwhile they have another one, one year newer, that was for sale right next to the one that I bought on the day I bought it. THAT ONE is still there and for sale at the same price as it was when I bought mine. What a bunch of rip of artists. I can see making their profit and that is fair. $1000 dollars down since they already made their money on it? Great. $2000? sure. $3000, no way. Hold their value my butt. They National Powersports holds the value, and screws the customer... Buy it, clean it, double the price and wait for a sucker. Great business model...
