I would like to share with you the awful experience I just had at Best Buy in Newington, NH, their mobile phone section. Last Saturday Ive purchased an iPhone 6 there, but upon arrival home Ive noticed that the phone has a defect, an extremely small scratch near the home button, about 3-4 millimeters in length and extremely hard to notice due to its small size. Since this is a very expensive phone that Im going to be using for the next few years I decided to go back and exchange it. I sent my my wife to Best Buy but the store didnt have any phones in stock. Finally today we decided to go back and try our luck again. There were no phones in stock but we didnt want to take any chances and miss the 14 day window and decided to return it. Weve explained that we want to return our defective phone to the lady that was keeping track of the cue and she told us that someone will process our return right away. She inspected the phone and did not express any concerns and didnt have any objections. After about 20 minutes of waiting the department manager asked to look at the phone and paperwork, he could not find the defect for a few minutes and I showed him that the phone has to be held at a certain angle to see it. I repeat the phone is less than a week old and is in new condition. When he was finally able to see the defect he said that he can not accept this return regardless that the phone was sold to us like that and it was less than a week ago. He was very hostile and kept saying that this is not his stores problem and we need to contact Apple. I told him that I purchased a defective phone from here and am clearly within the return period. I was once again told that this is clearly the manufacturers issue and he refuses to assist me with this problem. Another employee for some reason started questioning me and my wife about our negligence and leaving the store without inspecting the phone thoroughly enough, his questions didnt seem very appropriate or helpful. Best Buy isnt a flea market and if I buy a brand new item I have faith that its new and free of defects. I asked if he would like to inspect the phone himself, which he agreed and couldnt find the defect either. At that point I asked if I could speak with the manager to which he replied that he is the manager. I then specified that I would like to speak with the store manager and was told that he wasnt in and the best they could do for me is his email address. It seems rather odd that the store manager is not in on a busy shopping day like Saturday. After all that transpired the atmosphere felt very hostile and unfriendly. Consumers have a choice of where to buy their electronics and Best Buy until now seemed like a friendly neighborhood store. But today I was greatly disappointed and disillusioned. I understand that defects happen but not only did we not get help or basic human understanding, but we were also treated like an annoyance and an inconvenience. This experience completely ruined my day and my faith in Newington Best Buy.

I have been a patron for 8 years. I started my own business last year (American Pain Institute). I ended up buying 20 computers, two refrigerators, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, solar keyboards, and a 36 speaker system sound system including installation. I worked with Best Buy for Business. I had a perfectly wonderful experience with Stephen Manero and the Geek Squad. If there were any problems at all, they were gracious and corrected everything. One example is the refrigerator for my laboratory. It was a special order and it turned out to be the wrong size. Best Buy took it back for a full credit. It is true that it is the largest store of its type in the Seacoast area. Sometimes a person can feel like a number in a big store. Some people might suspect that such a well positioned and large store doesnt have to put much effort into customer satisfaction due to lack of competition. But in the case of Best Buy, I believe they are making every effort to satisfy their customers. That is why I go there repeatedly: for the selection and most importantly of all, the customer service. As a consumer, they are on par with great places like LL Bean and Nordstroms.

As a gamer, I have to say Best Buy is no longer the place to go to. Ive never had a problem with the staff, who have always been nice to me. Ive never had a problem with product quality either. However, the lack of midnight releases on games has been a problem. I overlooked this due to the discount from Gamers Club Unlocked, but I can no longer do so. This location decided not to do a midnight release for Pokemon Sun and Moon, which was a HUGE mistake given its massive popularity before its even sold a copy. Theyll do midnight releases for Halo 5 and Fallout 4, but not Pokemon? Sorry, but this has been the final nail in the coffin to take my business elsewhere as a gamer. Best Buy was already weak on used games, and being weak on midnight releases just destroys its ability to appeal to gamers. Ill pay extra elsewhere for my midnight copies in the future.

got an expensive Asus computer at best buy and paid for geek squad services. just after warrantee ran out, (1 yr), the solid state hard drive went in the Asus laptop. geek squad said they could fix it so I had them mail it away to their service center. I got a call that it was back in the store and I could pick it up any time but when I got there, it was not there and that, in fact, they "couldnt get the part" to fix it. What?! A computer thats only 14 months old they cant get the hard drive replaced?!?! Well, I learned my lesson the hard way... I spent way too much money for services that dont service my computer. What a severe rip-off!!

Ok, so theyre the only real electronic store around. Given the large amount of traffic, they keep fairly good selection of stock items. My wifes computer (purchased 3yrs ago with a warranty) began to have problems. They tried to fix it, but then gave her a new upgraded model at no additional cost. Ive had to return a few items of the many that Ive purchased and had no problems at all. The staff has been friendly and helpful. Im getting ready to go there in a few min. to pick up a battery charger and a DVD for my son. Glad Best Buy is there! Otherwise, Id be driving much further to find the same things.

Bought a 2500$ oven that dont work. Have had Best Buy cancel 3 appointments to fix/exchange. They wasted 3 work days by canceling appointments after 8pm the day before. Best buy has nothing to say but sorry. Sorry dont get you 3 work days back. We will return this pos. We will also urge all of friends and family to not do any buisness with best buy ever again. They sell high end appliances that come already broken. Thanks best buy for you are the problem with america.. You suck, your custmer service sucks, and the garbage you sell, well its GARBAGE..
