I visited this location earlier this evening in search of a canister vacuum under $60. I found a nice Bissell model which, according to the price on the shelf where it was placed, was $54.99. At the cash register, however, I was told it was $89.99, and it seemed it had been misplaced on the shelf. I headed over to where I found it, where a friendly manager of some sort (at least he seemed to be) was trying to confirm the price but could not as it was the last one. I showed him where it was and he immediately said he would honor the $54.99... I was so surprised! I wasnt even going to ask if they would do that because there was such a significant price difference, but I didnt even have to. When I went back to the cash register to purchase the vacuum, the cashier, who was also very friendly, even apologized for the confusion and inconvenience (even though there was no need to as I was beyond satisfied)! I was truly appreciative and honestly a little shocked that they so eagerly discounted the item, but the fact that they did, as well as the great customer service I received, will certainly keep me coming back!

Yes its true, Best Buy, the company renowned for top-level knowledge, kindness, quality, service, and dedication has a store located within our very own Maine Mall in South Portland (which is also the second most heavily traveled mall on the East Cost!)! With wonderful department staff who always is kind and willing to help, ultra-smart Geek Squad Agents (24/7 computer tech support and repair services) and highly-trained Best Buy for Buisness Associates (Professional buisness solutions) this location has everything youll need in relation to technology! Be it a refrigerator, vaccum, car stereo, GPS, home theater system, game console, television, computer, camera, software, and even more(!), Best Buy has it waiting for you! As a consistantly delighted customer I know for a fact that you will be shocked at how wonderful your visit to Best Buy will be in comparison to the competition! Actually, Best Buy is on a whole different level entirely. I doubt that the other stores will ever be able to obtain the ability or know-how to offer the quality services that Best Buy can. The bottom line? Best Buy rocks!

I wish I could give them a zero. I will never come back here. I bought a laptop a year ago, with their Geek Squad insurance. Ive had the computer sent out through them THREE TIMES and it still does not work. This past time it took three weeks to get the computer back, and they assured me and promised up and down it was running smoothly. I get home and log into the laptop and its nothing but a black screen. So I turn it on and off a couple times. Nothing. I call the store and the woman refuses to help me because they are "just about to close". She straight up interrupted me in the middle of my sentence to say shed love to help but theyre closing. Terrible customer service!! I am so sick of this place and will never again come back.

The people at this store are completely unhelpful, not just at the lowest level but all the way up to the stores highest management. I have been on hold with them for upwards of 20 minutes multiple times. Whenever I have been in the store they have empty boxes of things that they dont even have in stock and are incapable of telling me when they will have more in or setting anything aside for me or having it shipped to me. They were unable to come up with any excuse of having empty box displays for things they never seem to have in stock. Overall the higher management of this particular store seems to be completely useless and insane.

I BOUGHT 5 SMARTPHOES FROM HERE THINKING IT MAY BE BETTER, THEN THE BIG DEALERS STORE AND CHEAPER, FROM WHAT THEY TOLD ME. EVERYTHING WAS MISLEADING TO GET YOUR BUSNIESS!!! THE INSURANCE IS NOT BETTER, JUST A LIE!!! THEY POINT THE FINGER ALL DAY LONG. POOR KNOWLEDAGE OF THEIR OWN POLICY!! NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!! THEIR ANSWER TO EVERYTHING," WHOEVER TOLD YOU THAT," WAS WRONG!!! THEY ARE FOOLS WALKING AROUND NOT KNOWING IF THAY ARE COMING OR GOING!!! SAVE SOME TIME,STRESS AND BLOWING YOUR TOP, GO TO THE REAL PHONE STORE DOWN THE STRESS. VERIZON!!! BEST BUY GOING OUT OF BUSNIESS FOR A REASON!!!

I am writing this to counter the undeserved 2.9 stars my favorite store at the mall has received. This store is very clean, well staffed and well stocked. I have always received help when needed. I have shopped here since they first arrived, I am a premier silver rewards member. I have never had a bad experience. I have been to best buys all over new england including NYC, and this is my favorite store hands down. I will say reaching someone on the phone there is not easy. If there was one area on improvement, this is it.

Worst best buy i have ever seen in my life. They never pick up the phone and when they do they leave you on hold with no intention of picking up. They lie about what electronics can do and cant do. People who work there have absolutely no clue about any of there products a bunch of morons work there who dont care about customers. This is why Bull Moose will be getting my money not a money hungry company with 0 compassion for customers who pay best buys bills.

I have never had a bad experience with this store. I enjoy shopping here and the associates are always helpful and courteous! I dont understand the bad reviews because I have always been treated with great respect and sales people took the time to explain everything in great detail. I felt they made an effort to tell me about different products and services without making me feel pressured to buy anything I didnt want or felt I did not need.

I have tried to call The Geek Squad for the past hour. I have been transfered 9 times to some call center, to the wrong people 4 times, twice the phone system didnt work and dropped twice. I called the South Portland Maine store and was told by one of their reps that they are busy and I should expect service like this. This is unacceptable especially after I bought a Home Theater for $6,000..........Im done with Best Buy!

After pulling my hair out after repeated calls into the Compaq/HP support line (India of course) I decided to return the laptop. I had purchased it from the Auburn location, but the South Portland store had no issues with me returning it when I called them and where sorry for the troubles. While there to return it Ill be shopping for my new non-HP laptop tonight. No restocking fees charged - Thanks for the help Best Buy.

LOUSY LOUSY Business Tatics! Tried to call two of these stores all day in S.Portland and Biddeford, Maine Not one person in the whole store would even pick up the phone, after 20 minutes of letting it ring on each attempt in both locations. Never EVER gunna buy anything from a store who don`t care about their customers. Don`t be cheap, Hire phone help, You can efford it!!

The worst store to deal with. I received an Otterbox as a gift it was purchased in December, but my birthday is February because they have a lousy return policy, they only wanted to give me store credit. Mind you, it was not opened and I had the receipt. It was a joke when the manager looks like he should still be in diapers!!! I will NEVER buy anything from this store again.
