Store and employees were nice. However, am a little upset. I called in for a price match. The rep I talk to over the phone was very helpful and it was a very easy process. I was also able to choose in-store pickup as I wanted the item that day as a gift. The actual pick up the process went smooth. However, when I got to the car, I noticed the package was open. The sealent tape was missing, which keeps the lid on. I took the package back in and showed them the package. I was directed to the appropriate Department for someone to help. I asked why I was sold an "open box" item, when I was expecting a new unopened item. I was told it wasnt an "open box" item, that it was a new item. When I pointed out the tape was missing and the card board was not inserted correctly. He agreed that it may have been opened at the stored for some reason. But it was not a returned item, therefore not an "open box" item. I was given a bunch of excusses as to way it would be opened or why it is not concidered an "open box". But no real answer. I feel since I got a good deal via price match, the local store gave me an "open box" item. Unfortunately, they didnt have another one in stock. After very careful inspect, decided to keep the item. Just be warned and inspect any items you pickup from this store...or any Best Buy.

The reason for our visit: I received and email from Best Buy stating that I had let my Geek Squad service expire. The day it was to expire, I was in the Shadow-lake store on Friday July 28th and renewed my service. I was concerned as to why I received this email. I called the store and asked for the Geek Squad desk. They had me speak to the manager, who happened to be Jarred, who helped me on Friday July 28th because the computer system was having issues. I remembered him and he remembered me. Jarred apologized and asked me to stop in at my convenience but because of the computer issue on Friday it did not renew correctly. We had planned to visit the store that same day because my husband had questions regarding his I-Pad. My husband couldnt stop talking about Jarred and how accommodating he was to us. We will definitely go back more often. We did not realize that they could help us "OLDER" people with silly computer questions. Way to go Shadow-lake Best Buy. We will be back. Thank you Mary & Jeff My husband and I were so impressed with our service from Jarred the store Supervisor/manager. He went out of his way to help us; 1) solve and issue with a geek squad renewal and 2) Jarred helped my husband with different key points on his iPad, that he never knew about. Very impressed.

Saturday April 2nd, 2011, my husband and I went to the Best Buy to purchase a 6ft USB cable for our external hard drive. After 10-15 minutes of looking for the correct cable and someone to help us, we cornered a young man. I didnt catch his name but he was unable to locate a cable that would suit our needs and asked a person whom I believe was some level of management. That gentleman directed him to cameras for the cable. The first young man looked at the empty slot and said “we dont have it”. I asked, “Would another Best Buy in town have it”. To which he replied, “Probably” and walked off. My response was “REALLY”. How about customer service, how about instead of “Probably”, “I’ll make a call and have them hold it for you at the desk”. Or even “let me call around and see if I can find a store in town that has what you need”. Needless to say, I left and headed directly to a competitor to purchase my $25 cable. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes with my cable and a movie. As our luck would have it, Sunday night, our 7 year old computer crashed. No, we didn’t get our hard drive backed up. Needless to say we are in need of a new computer, monitor etc. Where do you think I’m spending my time and money?

I originally visited the Village Point Best Buy to reserve a copy of Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, but I was told that they would not be holding a midnight launch for the game, so the manager directed to this Best Buy since they would be holding a midnight launch. Once I showed up to reserve my copy, I had to wait quite awhile before I received any help. When I did finally receive help from a sales rep I specifically if the Pallion Best was in fact holding a midnight launch for the game. The sales rep was not sure, so he confirmed with his manager that yes infact they would hold a release event for the game. Come release day I called in to triple confirm that the midnight was infact happening. I was told the event would go from 11pm-1am that same day, but to my surprise there was no launch event or anything. There was no reason to reserve the Call of Duty from this Best Buy or any Best Buy. I have been burnt by Best Buy before, but I am done with this terrible customer survice all these lies. So long Best Buy

Purchased a new flat screen tv got geek squad coverage and everything specifically asked the would my television be covered if it fell off my wall mount the rep said it was. Awesome except after 7 months my TV did fall off my wall mount brought it in and found out it wasnt covered and the employee who told me such was fired so now I am SOL. Now am out over $500 for the TV aswell as all the money I paid for that great greek squad service that 99% of the time will tell its not covered. I should have known better as samething happened to me at the same best buy when I bought my laptop full geek squad BS and monitor stopped working and they once again said it wasnt covered. Best Buy speciffically Geek Squad is a ripoff and I wouldnt recommend shopping there

Clean store, good selection and friendly employees. Unfortunately they use a third party company to track your returns. If you meet some sort of criteria that neither company had our can disclose, you are put on a return blackout for a year. You can buy whatever you want during this time but no returns even if you have a valid receipt and are within the usual fifteen day return period. Apparently you can dispute this but be prepared to take PTO from work and spend a day on the phone. Im not sure how to dispute something if the reason for the return denial is a super, ultra secret (pardon my sarcasm). Best Buy must be hemorrhaging money to resort to this game plan. Just a warning for you all!

This is absolutely the worst Best Buy you can ever go to theyre miss informing customer service had me drive to their location at midnight for a game launch and they werent even open. Now I have to come back and get a refund for this game because I wasnt able to purchase it. Bestbuy you have forever lost a valuable customer who has purchased all of their electronic needs from you guys and had trust in your word . I will also be informing my friends and family to never shop at one of your locations due to the fact you guys lied and misinformed a very loyal customer! Someone who stood behind your products and services.
