I have been disappointed by the shoe departments service the my past few visits here. This time definitely took the cake. My mom and I were shopping for shoes for my wedding, so I had two shoes in my hands as I trotted around the department looking for someone to help me. After about 20 minutes of this, and literally having employees walk right past us, straight up ignoring us, my mom tracked down a blonde woman walking around with a clipboard and asked if she knew if a specific employee was in. The blonde told her that her that Kathy was at lunch, and asked if we needed help. Obviously. She stood right next to an older, gray-haired gentleman for another 10 minutes before finally prompting him to go help us. (We would have left had Kathy not been expected back soon). He somberly strolled over and sighed dramatically when I asked about the two shoes I was interested in. He acted like it was a total inconvenience to him that I actually wanted to look at some shoes! Shoes we were planning to buy no less! He came back with one pair I was interested in and tossed the box in front of me and said he would be back with the other ones. The next pair he brought werent even the ones I had asked for. The correct pair that he had brought over earlier was perfect, but we wondered about locating another size at another store because they were a little tight. He disappeared for a while and came back to inform us that there were many of the other size at other stores. Ok...so....how do we go about getting those....where are they located...etc. Nothing. He just walked off. Helpful. Eventually, Kathy came back from lunch. She said she could stretch the ones I had on to see if they would fit (she thought the next size up would be to big). I would give her a million stars if I could. She was so helpful and nice....she was what the workers in the shoe department of this store used to back. If you go, ask for Kathy....but if she isnt there you might as well go elsewhere. She is the only reason I did not give the store one star. I would giver her, alone, 5 stars and the rest of the department none if I could.

This store is awesome! A lot of their stuff is expensive name brand, but they do offer clearance for the items that did not sell as well-from my understanding up to 75% off! I often shop clearance for my two nephews-age 2 & 5, for all womens shoes and for myself in Womens clothes. They have a whole room of clearance womens NICE shoes and boots! A friend of mine found a nice salsa dance dress in her size on clearance there for $10! The best part of all is the mailing lists the cosmetic counters can put you on to be notified of when you get a gift with purchase, free gift with makeover, bonus events, etc. Plus, they always give free makeovers to everyone! To top it off, if you get their zero percent interest for life credit card, you will always get free gift wrap of your choice and free shipping in the USA whenever you want those services. It makes it invaluable around the holidays!!! Plus, the associates are usually SOOOoooo nice and knowledgable in each department. Oh, I forgot, they do free alterations there as well if you need them when you buy that item(s) with your Von Maur card!

The staff is so helpful and accommodating. Within the last week, I shopped for shoes there. The woman who helped me was just the right level of attentive: brought me the boots I asked for, made suggestions which were in keeping with my price range and functional needs, and did not pressure me to make a decision even though I stayed until closing time. I ended up with two pairs. I decided to return one of the pairs, which was a breeze. The gentleman who took the return was gracious and seemed happy to help. I will certainly be back again!

If I could give this store zero stars then I absolutely would. I made a purchase and decided it wasnt for me and returned it two or three days later. I purchased it with a debit card and wanted cash back but was rudely laughed at by the cashier when she told me it had to be refunded on the debit card. So I said okay and went on my way. It had been over a week and a half and I have yet to see the money back. I spoke with a manager and she put me on hold for a long time and was no help to the situation. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!

The atmosphere at Von Maur is exactly what you would expect of a higher-end department store. I am particularly fond of the level of professionalism and detail of the employees. The in-house tailor here is second to none, and Im always pleasantly surprised with the detail and quality of his work.

This store offers top quality clothing for Men, Women, Teens and infants and up. I like the option to use the store charge with no interest. The no interest charge helps to build your wardrobe & like I said no other store can match the Quality, no cheeze clothes here

This store has the worst customer service. Management should invest in giving their employees a class on how to be curteous and respectful to clients. I would advice you to avoid this store at all cost.If I could give it zero stars I would.
