After hearing about FTS from some friends, we had to check it out. As we currently have two train enthusiasts in our midst, this was a home run! Entering, youre greeted by a HUGE train set with all sorts of trains to play with. Naturally, our three year old gravitated towards the 3 engines another boy was playing with rather than the 50+ currently not in use. After a discussion about the importance of appropriate social conduct and the need for personal space, we proceeded to play for the next few hours on one of the four huge train tables. The walls are covered with just about any popular train toy your little, or you kiddos little, heart may desire and is great place to stock up on birthday and Christmas gifts if the little ones are into this sort of things. Plenty of engines, tracks, cars as well as tons of books, puzzles and games made it a great spot to see whats available currently and get ideas of later in the year. Great place to come and spend a few hours on a rainy or nice day. Very nice folks running the place as well. Dont feel like standing? Theyve even got a bunch of seating for the adults while the little squirts run off some energy! A great place to check out for any and all train enthusiasts!

Great place to bring younger kids who love trains. This places is covered with various wooden train brands! Theres a large train table with multiple tracks, bridges, buildings, etc. Then there are four smaller tables, three with trains and one with cars/parking garage. They also have a wooden kitchen to play with in the corner. All of this playtime fun is free too! But they do operate on donations and purchases. This is a great store to begin/build on your own train tracks at home. On top of that they have lots of cute train merchandise: books, stickers, buttons, shirts, party decor, Melissa and Doug products, snacks. LOTS of ways to support this great establishment. Lastly they have free wifi/magazines and lots of seating for the grown ups :) My boys LOVE IT!

Great place! Had my kids 4th birthday in the private rooms upstairs and the kids were able to have their own play area and he was able to put his hand print on the wall. The kids really enjoyed their time here. My only complaint would be I felt a little rushed. We were scheduled the 12 oclock party slot on a Sunday and they dont open till 12. Very minimal time to set up and it all runs over into party time. By the time lunch and was served and presents and all the birthday stuff, they only had maybe 30 mins max in the private play room. Granted the downstairs is just as nice and free for all, but it cost $160 for a private area and by God, I was set on letting them play! I would recommend not getting the 12 time slot on a Sunday.

One of the best kept secrets in town. Bring your kid here and turn them loose on the train tables -- just plan to allow yourself a good hour or so, because youll have to pry them away. Nice selection of quality wooden childrens toys here for sale, as well. Staff are super friendly. Free wifi and they sell refreshments/snacks for while youre hanging out. The upstairs can be rented out for birthday parties, and they open it up once a month for a family fun night as well.

A great place to have a hands on experience with wooden trains. I like it because I can go there to have some coffee and read for a few minutes while the kids occupy themselves playing with trains. We usually end up getting a new book or the kids bring the money they have been saving for a toy train. The owners are good people. They are very patient while the kids are trying to count their money to pay for their goods. Everyone always leaves pretty happy.

Rate Frisco Train Store? Are you serious? My 3 year old grandson would live here if he could. This place is as dangerous to him as a good bookstore is to me. We want one of everything, in fact, we may have. This is an awesome place for grandparents and their special ones.

A great place to have fun with the kids. While the play is free, donations are encouraged. Im not a train hobbyist but the selection of quality wood train sets for sale suggests it might be the go-to place for many who are. Event space on 2nd floor.

This is a hidden gem for St. Louis. Nothing fancy but they have several nice train tables setup where the kids can play freely. Great selection of wooden trains & tracks and they even sell those elusive connector pieces for $1 each.

A great for kids who love trains. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is we wish there were trackmaster trains to purchase.
