I love this place- so low key and casual. Is the service really slow? YES! (even when they are not busy). Is the food mediocre at best? YES! So why do I love it so much? The atmosphere! Any given weekend night or Sunday afternoon the place is filled with people enjoying themselves. The good vibes just permeate the place. There are several options for covered seating and open seating. No matter where you sit you can feel like you are in a completely different restaurant than you were last week. You fit in if you are dressed for a date, dressed for a humid walk in Cottleville, dressed for a happy hour stop after work. The fact is you just feel comfortable amongst this eclectic mix of patrons. I really love the live music even if it is really bad; 20% of the time. The live music gives you something to focus on and talk about. Bathrooms are surprisingly clean even on a Saturday night. Even though the guests are moving tables around as another couple they know joins them, the place is spacious enough you can still walk around comfortably. The best part of the location is the Cottleville strip. From the Wine Seller you can walk to the Chocolate Bar for a more upscale experience, Jos fifth street pub for a local experience, and Beemos the traditional sports-bar experience. I have also enjoyed going into the actual Wine Seller (Cellar) where you are treated to a mini tasting and explanation of the featured wines available for sale as carry out or to have at your table. This place is busy all spring summer and early fall for good reason- its just fun to be there!

We have been here twice. This time we chose a Sunday evening. Im sure we set with regulars. Nice atmosphere. So, this is a review, not complaining. (there is a difference :) ) Its a bit confusing to enter in. Never a host/hostess to sit you. The wait staff always seems to be a bit confused. I took a bit of time to look around. The tables are not arranged in any order. The food is pricey for what you get. The description of food , im sure is accurate. But, when you get it, its about disappointing. I paid $13.00 for a roast beef sub. This means for $13.00, it should be over the top! Lots of roast beef, cheese, dressing etc. This sub was very disappointing. My wife ordered a salad, and it was the same, it was okay. on a plastic plate. Good. but not $10.00 good. both meals probably cost $1.25. The waiter was lost, not very good. Never smiled, lost his belt. If your there for the beer and wine, im sure its great. The appetizer, pretzel bites, were great! Very yummy, and plenty of them. $10.00. Train your staff, organize the tables, seating area. Get away from Black, its an outdoor setting, liven up the place. :) Get a host/hostess to run/manage the wait staff and customers. And get some type of an entrance or signage going. We will return, but maybe eat before.

If I could give this place no stars I would but I guess One star will do. My family and I went out for dinner and we have two people whom can not eat certain things because of health reasons. We had been waiting 10-15 minutes for a server to come over to us and not one person came by. However, When one of us decided to open the box of pizza we had gotten next door just to take a bite while we were waiting a server came over and told us that the owner did not allow food from other place. Totally understandable. What I didnt like was the fact that when I walked over to the bar where the owner was the server was talking about all of use rudely because she did not see that I was behind her. I ignored the fact that she was being extremely rude and I told the owner that we could have put the pizza away and it wasnt a problem for us to do so. I also mentioned that it took a server 10-15 minutes to get to us and that was why they had opened the box. The owner rudely told me off and said bye. I will NEVER return to this place again! Karma will come your way.

Food and atmosphere always wonderful!!:) I have always had a nice experiance until this past weekend. It was my sisters birthday and my family and I met there. My sister brought her dog on a leash. The dog got caught around the legs of the table so we took the leash off to help him. With that a older short blond lady that works there came over with a cigarette in her mouth and says, "Put the dog on a leash, he has to be on a leash." She could have politely said, "Hey, if you dont mind can you please put the dog on a leash. Thank you so much." After that she went to sit with other customers and the customers and her began to give us dirty looks. Because of that experiance we wont be coming back. The other waiters are great!:) She needs a class or two on customer service.

Service sucked. Waited an hour and nobody came to the table to ask if I needed service. Talked to the owner. He said ooo u got your own beer so they thought someone else helped u. So nobody took the time to ask if I needed anything the whole time

Excellent atmosphere, best of all wine is cheap. 7 dollar piesporter all day baby. Downside the kitchen must be staffed by 90 year old lunch ladies, food is slow and improperly prepared. We got a sandwich with frozen meat and toppings, wow.

Loved the location and the opening! But they dont have enough help throughout the day and made it an uncomfortable waiting process for my drinks. They had 1 waitress for the whole outside dining..

If you are looking for a patio to drink and listen to live music in cottleville this is the spot. Pro-tip, you can hear the music from VB chocolates patio, if you are looking for desert and music.

Theres only one word to describe this place, Horrible ! The service sucked! and for 4 pieces of shrimp it cost 10. They also try to force you to get a bottle of wine when I just wanted a glass.

Took 15 minutes for a server to come to my table. Had to get my own wine menu. The owner was the rudest person I have ever met in my life! Dont waste your time or money. This place is trash.

great experience even w/ the heat. how it was less hot here compared to bemos is beyond me. owner came up and talked to me which was great. very friendly service.. cant wait to go back

What a horrible place!!! Terrible service! We searched 3 times for our server! Searched!!!! Terrible food! I am not sure how they stay in business? Avoid at all costs!!!!

Very impressed. Loved the place. They just opened up 2 new buildings, with a large deck upstairs. Very cool to have a place like this in the city of Cottleville.

Nice patio and atmosphere....but service is lackluster. Ive been here several times, and I have never had service worth a compliment.
