Absolutely one of the best places to go in town! I love that this place is classy but you dont have to dress up (though I always do!) Not only is the beer and wine selection fantastic, the service is excellent (the owner is very kind and willing to accomodate!) and the food is incredible. Theres never been a thing there Ive tried that I havent liked. There arent too many places in town to get a great selection of dark beer, but Im always pleasantly surprised by the selection here. Tuesday Date Night is the best time to go--you get an appetizer and two entrees and an entire bottle of wine for $25! If you dont want to get as fancy as Piggys or The Waterfront but want a step up from Jimmy Johns or Big Als, definitely check out the Wine Guyz!

Update: After having a bad experience, I emailed the owner James and he made things right. Old Post: Previously, I had given a 5 star review but am downgrading after horrible service. Pathetic service on a Saturday night. For a group of 15, we had a waiter who never came to our table. We had to go up to the counter to place orders and pay our bill. Also, there was no one else in the resturant! Last, they did not show people the detailed bills until after signing the credit card slip and add tip. More generally, the wait staff treated us like we were an inconvenience to them.

Loved Wine Guyz! They let my fiance and i take some engagement pictures in the bar area and we had a blast. The owner is very friendly and makes sure you are well taken care of. The staff knew everything they needed to know about the wine they serve and were very meticulous in helping us find something we loved. Great place with great service and a great atmosphere! Will definitely be visiting Wine Guyz on our trips to La Crosse.

My friends and I loved the calm, softly lit, cozy atmosphere. The selection of wines and beers is, of course, vast. Our server was delightfully affable and knowledgable. We ordered a few of their home made pizzas... WOW. The Margherita pizza easily made it into the top five of my All Time Best Pizza list. Seriously, so good. Loved it.

I have had mixed experiences at the Wine Guyz but the past couple times have been much better than one from December of 2011. Generally, the food is good. The salad bar is provided by Piggys (which is adjacent to this restaurant) and is very good. But sometimes there are certain items that are not fully stocked (i.e. breadsticks).

Decent service. Was last there on a Friday night and Bartender was looking at the menu to answer questions about the wines and beers they served. Just thought they should know what they are serving and not try to answer with what I could read on the menu on my own.

Cozy and comfortable atmosphere: lovely folk music playing, local art for sale decorates the walls, a very friendly staff (I have had perfect service every time!) and, most importantly, simply yet delicious food and an extensive wine and beer list.

Great spot in LaCrosse. Really. Will be back. However, for a wine bar the bartenders are woefully under trained. Do try it.
