Use alot of their parts, my new 131 had a pushrod hammering on fire up I adjusted it then was all good but shouldnt have had to. The engine is a rocket though. Tranny seems fine , shifts good I have a pingel electric shifter on it also. I had to modify the kick starter gear before it would engage properly. Good working carb ,I bored it and installed annular booster REALLY works good now ,I prefer it over a modified S&S. CLEAN THE OIL TANK MINE WAS FULL OF WELD SPLATTER AND SHAVINGS they state this in their engine instructions but not if you just buy a tank ,a little common sense goes along way . I jacked off oil pump bypass to up idle pressure (10# @ hot idle) . Their wiring kit worked good with thunderheart l.e.d indicator light set up ( plugs right in ) if your running a stock type dash. 95% of my parts are Midwest stuff and overall very happy but lack of inventory and tech advice makes it difficult if your not mechanically inclined and or inexperienced. I also installed spike starter jack shaft no more grind (eBay). Used 90# (RED) springs and a foot clutch, the alto clutches in the belt drive kit work OK . Dont run a belt final IT WILL SLIP and I had a 1.5 inch wide belt tight as guitar string . Went to a custom 630 chain set up ( three guys) and a black bike rear wheel. Tore hub up on the ultima wheel . I build and work on exotic cars for a living and Im used to fitting and whittling on parts so Midwest was nothing out of the norm for me ,this was my first ground up chopper build and would use Midwest on my next one too! If you would like to see my bike its on the back of their 2017 catalog I ride it everywhere and always gets me home .

I am a firm believer in your ultima product line, but at this moment after building my bike with your ultima parts specifically,a 6 speed overdrive transmission with less than 4k miles on it and the final drive gear breaks and the shifter pawl is the culprit and after being told by your staff i could order the parts i needed and given the website to go to for the exploded view of the trans and identified the parts needed, not a single midwest dealer would order the parts i need to repair this trans.i am highly bothered by the fact that they all told me all they could do was sell me a new unit can not order the parts. So i am having another unit shipped to me but not happy when this is a repairable problem but your dealers fix is by a new one.But i promise MIDWEST one thing if these parts are not made available in a reasonable time,so i can try to recoup some of my money this will not be the last you hear from me.I am running a 113 ci ultima engine, ultima ignition, bought all my parts to build this bike thru your dealers Jireh, bikers choice,Dennis kirk,jp cycles, just to name a few 30k in parts and this is how you treat me.please fix this.
