If there was a zero star rating- team member Ken K would deserve it. Bought a rebuilt alternator online and after trial and error discovered that it wasnt my new battery causing my car to die, it was the defective alternator. Ken K kept prying me to take it back to the Page location because he wanted to meet the stores quota for the quarterI had to push him to give me a refund even though he kept insisting the stores quota was more important than my customer needs. He said he would be losing money by giving me a refund even though I had lost more win having my car out of commission for my delivery job and by taking my car to a professional auto shop to get a brand new alternator. Worst customer service ive ever experienced in my life. He was apathetic for the inconvience this product gave me for 2 weeks and just had to remind me as I was leaving that "next time just return it to the store you picked it up from, cause ya know, its a quota thing. im losing money here

I bought spark plug wires from them in May of 2009, with a 1-year warranty. I am having mis-fire problems. When I went in to exercise that warranty, the new part number they looked up for my vehicle is not the same as the parts warrentied. THEY CHOSE THE PART TO SELL ME FOR MY VEHICLE, YET THEY TELL ME IT WAS THE WRONG PART AND WILL NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY. The employee looked me in the eye and sait "There is nothing we can do for you." I put all my purchases back and walked out. They would sell me the part that was warrantied, but they would not honor the warranty. If you buy from them - do it at your own perill.

Having been told elsewhere that my battery needed to be replaced went to Advance expecting to buy a new one. Their testing revealed that it merely needed charged. They pulled it and took it into the store and charged it for 35 minutes,then replacing and retesting and also testing the alternator and other loads that may have caused the discharge. All for no charge and cheerfully in a cold drizzle. I will definitely return and recommend to others. BY Jim 3/9/2010

I needed a new battery, and they do provide free battery installation. However, this does not properly cover my experience. The installation WAS free, but Steve went way beyond the minimum requirement. He personalized his service to my needs, and worked hard to be sure his installation was complete, correct, and reliably executed. I cannot say enough about his friendly nature, his attention to detail and concern for my vehicle.

My check engine light turned on, and Advanced Auto Parts ran the diagnostics for free. It wasnt anything serious, but they were able to clear the "check engine light" and gave me some recommendations. Didnt cost a thing. Ive come to expect this from this store. Ive been in there several times, and they are always helpful, responsive, and respectful. I would highly recommend them.

They will not stand behind their parts, shop at Sears or Autozone. I made the mistake of buying a wrench I needed with these people and after it fell apart, they will not return it. Luckily I paid with my CC so I just reversed the charge.

I was traveling with my family. Car trouble. I went to this Advance and asked them to scan my computer. They did so, told me what was wrong, and assured me that I could make it home. No charge. Nice people. I would highly recommend.
