I love this place! I have never been disappointed in the food, service or atmosphere. It is a real hangout for those of us who are lucky enough to live in West Plaza and within walking distance of the restaurant. The second time I went to eat, the bartender, Jill, already remembered my favorite wine and was pouring a glass for me. Chance, the chef, is amazing, and everyone associated with the restaurant is friendly and intent upon making the Journeyman top notch. "They have done It!!!

Great atmosphere.... disappointing food and drink. Would not return. We had been wanting to go for awhile and finally had the chance last night. Started off with a French75 which was so tart I did not finish it. We order the flank stake and the risotto with chicken. The flank stake was over done but the veggies were alright. The risotto and chicken were tasteless. I would recommend the place for the atmosphere but not the food.

Went here for a birthday dinner. We had a private room. The first thing that impressed me was the personalized menu. The thing hat wowed me was the food and the cocktails. I havent had such excellent food in quite some time. Here I was expecting an average dinner and I got treated to one of Kansas cities best. Definitely going back.

An attractive and welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff. Service was a tad slow and not the most attentive but still good. A nice variety of apps and entrees and everything we had was decent, if not better. Wasnt too impressed with the cocktails I received: light pours and flat flavors.

Kansas Citys newest culinary jewel in the West Plaza. An elegant dining space with a grand eye for details. Comfortable but not stuffy. Hand crafted drinks from the nicest bartender in town. Occasionally theres local music around dinner time.

Delicious fresh food. Biscuits to die for. Nice atmosphere. Seems to be taking off as a place for ladies to lunch. That being said - some desserts are in order at lunch time. Ice cream was offered but it was not special.

The menu is refreshing and delicious. They have a great cocktail menu and interesting beers on tap. The atmosphere is pleasant, there was a great live guitarist which was quite enjoyable. I will definitely return!

The smoked bacon sandwich (bacon made in-house) was exceptional. Decor is impeccable. Menu is limited, but changes often. A friend from the West Plaza neighborhood recommended Journeyman and I am glad I stopped by.

The atmosphere is great. The artwork they have chosen really is amazing. I also like how the menu is small and simple. Ive always been very pleased with what I order. Its a wonderful neighborhood place to go.

Ordered two appetizers and three entrees for three people and shared since theyre all smaller plates. Everything was dynamite and the atmosphere was very chill. Ill definitely be coming back.

Good food. Fun happy hour. Decent prices. My opinion stay away from the pretzel the cheese is mediocre at best. But the roasted eggplant puree is really really good. Give it a shot.

Most comfortable and hipster coffee shop at the Plaza. Local with nice people, good service, and great coffee. Great creative space to sit, sip a cup of joe and get inspired.
