Meet Sean. Sean has been our Home Depot Assistant since we started coming here to buy whatever it takes to Rehab an old Mobile Home for a Charity Project. He is one of those Employees that will help, but not hover and he knows where to find just about everything in the store. Over the last three weeks we have made countless trips to this Home Depot for anything from Lightbulbs to Breaker Boxes. Sean has been available on several of these Trips and is always ready to help out. He has saved us quite a bit of money by finding cheaper substitutes for items we needed. But now for the Store itself. This Home Depot is very clean. Its well organized with large signs of the Entrance guiding People to the different Departments. Some of the Aisles are cluttered with Ladders and Merchandise, making it a bit hard to maneuver our Carts. Each Department offers the Basics for anything to do with Home Repair, Maintenance and Building as well as several mid-price options and High end items. In the lighting department that goes from a $10.00 basic light fixture to the several hundred dollar chandelier. Most items are readily available and Ive seen very few "holes" on the shelves Every Department has someone that is easily visible and accessible for help, but not always knowledgeable. We spent almost 20 minutes explaining to an Employee why the wire that was almost $1.50/ft. cheaper was good enough for what we needed to get done. Another Employee, also in the Electrical Department tried consistently to sell us things we simply did not need. Each Department also offers classes on anything from hanging Drywall to installing Hot Water heaters. A list of available classes and a sign up sheet are right off the main entrance. For a lot of the items Home Depot offers an Install Service. So if you dont feel comfortable installing that new Roof, Home Depot will do it for you. There were no Price lists available for this service. This Home Depot also offers a Tool Rental Service. You pay a Deposit with a Credit Card (they do not accept Pre-paid Cards for this Service) and then the final fee when the Tool is returned. In the case of the Carpet kicker (which I forgot to bring), the Deposit was $10.00 and the fee for 24 hours of usage was $24.00. On each Visit the Checkout was always smooth with very little wait times. We had a few returns and these were also processed very smoothly. On each visit we were offered a Home Depot Credit Card by at least one employee. I give this Home Depot five stars for being well organized, mostly knowledgeable and because of Sean.

we have been to home depot in festus many time but this time it stuck out! im so impressed the guy at the door was so friendly it was like we knew each other for years his name was dinky i think and thats what started the conversation he was so courteous also after talking about his nickname he asked if we needed help to find something... wow.. thats never happened it was great .. me and my husband were with our disabled son whos in a wheelchair and we where looking for a cover for it for transport like a grill cover that ties he led us to that area and wow another person came up to help Justin was his name he was disabled but very able it was awesome.. im so impressed with this its an awesome thing that home depot hire disable people i will no longer go to Lowes and i will always ask for Justin to assit when hes there he is so nice and happy and very knowlegable we ended up getting a tarp with ringlettes and clip on bungee cords so much cheaper than going to a medicsal supply store and it works Thank You so much Justin for your wisdom of things and helping us find what we needed for our son keep up the good work we will let others know and reccommend home depot in festus to all our friend ...OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!!!

Normally this is not a problem..... I went to return for exchange a circuit breaker. The clerk was nice but the manager was rude. I was informed that they could not do a thing??? and that (I) need to call the number on the ticket. I was told that I need a receipt for the item. This was not returned for Cash, or Credit. I informed the clerk that I wanted a Home Depot card because I had other things to purchase. With the attitude of the Manager and this I have chosen to cut up my card and go to Lowes. While they are in reality no different that Home Depot for merchandise they (Lowes) has never asked me for a receipt on a return. Lowes will give you a Lowes Card for the amount or Cash. The customer service lady on the phone had basically the same attitude as the store manager..... Basically "I Dont Care"........ Goody-bye Home Depot........Hello Lowes. The one thing I can do is to steer others away for Home Depot.... And I Will

Some staff couldnt be nicer, but I have a very rude encounters with management when someone stole our phone in store. They wouldnt review the tapes, it was after hours and there were no customers in the store. We had tracked it with iCloud and could see it moving around the store back and forth all around the store. iCloud registered the phone was being turned off and on (you can only do this while holding the phone). Still even while showng this to the manager, she refused to review the tapes. We called Festus police and just like magic the phone mysteriously showed up nowhere close to where we were inside the store. They clearly do not value customer service at the manager level. I requested to be contacted when they reviewed the tapes. I have heard nothing. Of over 100 reviews I personally have done for Google this is my only 1 Star review. Watch your pockets, because if something goes wrong it isnt their problem.

Other places I went didnt have the tools I was looking fur. They did! Plus the other stores never come around to ask if they could help with anything. Home depot people come buy every 10 min. r so to make sure I was finding what I was needing. Checking out was a breeze, they made my visit kool!

Courteous employees, lots of options. They did put me on a call list when I inquired and got a quote for a door and called me over and over about the door. I didnt like that. Overall good place to get your do it yourself project supplies.

Terrible customer service I will never do business with a Home Depot store The flooring department needs to be educated!! I have never been treated so terrible in my life! The store manager was a jerk as well!

Tried contacting the tool rental department by phone. I was continually "bounced" from operator to operator. I finally gave up and terminated the call. Will give Lowes a call.

About average for a Home Depot. I went in and had no trouble fining what I needed. Didnt need to ask anyone for help, so unsure of customer service.
