Treadle is by far the best store in the Twin Cities for high quality, natural fiber, fine fabrics and onsite sewing expertise. For 20 years, I have bought fabric from all the Twin Cities fabric stores. Ive never seen anything at JoAnn or Hancock that compares to the quality at Treadle. SR Harris and to a lesser extent, Mill End have some high quality fabric, but you will have to really dig to find it and the staff wont help other than to direct you to the general location of what you want. In addition, some of their fabrics are off-grain and you cannot rely on their fiber content labels. Bring along a textile expert when shopping at these 2 places if quality is important.

What an incredible fabric store. The fabrics are beautiful and the staff very well-versed in sewing of all kinds. All are incredibly pleasant and extremely helpful with sewing projects. No other fabric store in the Twin Cities area comes close to duplicating what Treadle offers. This store is not the big box chain store youre used to dealing with. Its owned and operated by a single individual, and its run like an old-fashion shop where people not only are friendly and helpful, they get to know their returning customers. If you love to sew and enjoy beautiful and high quality fabrics,this is the place for you.

I google searched for a fabric store in Minnesota with hopes that I would find anywhere that had bridal lace. Did I ever hit the jackpot with Treadle Yard Goods! They had an excellent selection of lace and trim that was beautiful (Not the cheapy table cloth lace that you find at your big box stores). They were BEYOND helpful and polite. They didnt have enough of what I needed and ordered me more in a timely fashion. When I arrived to pick up my order they already had ready and waiting. A++ for Treadle Yard Goods.

A great store with a very carefully chosen selection of fabrics and trims. Quilters can find nice cottons here, and theres felt for crafting. The real treasure is the great selection of high quality apparel fabrics and bridal/evening lace and trim. Treadle also carries a nice selection of oil cloth and a handful of Liberty prints. The staff is experienced and always willing to help with patterns and yardage.

Wonderfully curated selection of fashion fabrics with a small selection of upholstery fabric. They offer many classes in a large area with machines, and have a large selection of patterns. They are very helpful, encouraging, and dedicated. An essential small business, you should make this your first stop for sewing projects.

Treadle is is wonderful fabric store that has a beautiful selection of high quality fashion fabric (cottons, wools, silks, ect) as well as cotton quilting fabric. The staff is very helpful and will help you out with any question or problem you have.

Treadle Yard Goods carries an excellent selection of special occasion raw silk, beautiful colors of wool, cottons for quilting, many batiks, silk velvet, and fabric you wont see anywhere else. The staff is also extremely helpful!
