2 stars because they have great meats and deli staff which is why I go there. Cons: 1. Hard to find items 2. Isles are tiny. Most are not wide enough for 2 carts to pass each other 3. Busy and hectic during peak times. Compounded by the thin isles. 4. Asian bowls are too salty. Never turned down a bowl because it was too salty before until this place. Very hard to find items. Overhear people every trip complaining about how hard it is to find items. For instance I was unable to find 30% of the items on my list. Here they are.. Aluminum foil, sugar, creamer, oyster crackers, beans. This time I just did a pass through every isle and looked for the items. It was too busy to go backtrack through them again like I did last time. Ive lived close for many years. Shopped at all the grocery stores around twin cities, I give LB a chance because it’s the closest, but its pretty frustrating having to hunt down items. I dont have that problem at rainbow or cub. I can go to Cub or Rainbow and have enough space to casually shop down an idle and not have to worry about someone hitting my ankles behind me. Also easier to find what I need there for some reason. 2015-12-23

Been going here for a little over a year. Large selection from lower quality to high quality. Meat department is better than a lot of meat specialized places. Other reviews complain that employees are everywhere but dont ask if they need help. They should speak up. Wouldnt it be weird if all those employees walked up to everyone and asked if they need a question answered? Personally I prefer not to be asked if I need anything. Clean store. Fresh products. Large selection.

A couple of weeks ago, I purchased a caprese salad "tower" from the Chanhassen Byerlys deli and the tomatoes were unripe and green. I love how they cleverly hid the green part(the outside part of the tomato was pinkish-red) under the mozzarella. I complained and got a refund, though the deli manager was terribly rude. Yesterday, I decided to give the same deli another chance, and purchased the Garden Potato salad. The potatoes were raw! Unbelievable.

Since the switch from deli service to self serve cafeteria, I have stopped eating here my usual 3-4 times weekly, despite the fact that the store is only four blocks from my house. The food is not as fresh nor as hot as it was in its former layout. This cafeteria-ization is beneath the dignity of a fine company like Lunds & Byerlys. (Did you hire a new manager from the south or something? It sure smacks of that.)

They have a variety of delicious ready made food, ranging from sushi, hot buffet, salad bar, Chinese food, and even Ramen! Love this place even though its a bit overpriced. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful and I will continue to be a regular.

Best grocery store chain in the Twin Cities. The produce and meats are a step up from Rainbow or Cub. The prices are a little higher, but you get what you pay for.
