I have had to rewrite my review to state only facts as I was threatened with suggested legal action by the owner: I noticed on the test drive the oil pressure was low and was told if it was a problem it would be fixed. I purchased a 2008 chevy Z-71 with 167,000 miles on it for $18,000. after purchase, I drove to work (6 miles away), when leaving work the engine tripped a code for P0521 (oil pressure out of range) now I am less than 10 miles off the car lot. I brought the truck back the next business day, they had it for 3 days. I picked it up and got the P0521 code again with in 50 miles. When I returned this time I asked for the service records, They did print copies for me. I learned the truck had an oil pressure problem one year before and it had been traded in with an engine knock (all stated in the service records). repairs were made to the passenger side valves, and cam shaft (no cam shaft bearings were replaced). No mention of anything addressing the loss of oil pressure that caused the damage. I asked they take the truck back, They declined, stating purchased "as is". I filed a complaint with the Chevrolet dealer complaint line (I would find out later this complaint had been closed as the dealer told them they were finding me a different truck. That did not happen). They did attempt to repair it for the 2rd time (this repair lasted 4 days before the engine code came back). Again, for a 3rd time in a month, they attempted to repair the oil pressure (this time it held for several months). I brought the truck in for the same engine code, now 9 months after purchase. they agreed to work on it "under warranty from the previous repairs" once again, It lasted 4 days, but this time they said they would no longer work on it as they seen a review I had posted about the truck. I asked to talk to the owner, he was busy, so I stopped by and talked to him in person. He stated He would not throw anymore good money after bad and he would no be liable for "Chevrolets well known mistake". He did ask me to give him a couple days to see if he could find me a different truck. 4 days went by, I emailed the owner asking for an update and received no response 3 days later I received a call from the dealership asking for my financial info. 4 days went by, Again I called the Chevrolet dealer complaint line. (thats when I found out the previous complaint had been closed and they were "surprised" I was still in this truck as the dealer told them they were finding me a different truck). total of 2 weeks went by before I heard from anyone at the dealership. When I did, it was the owner stating in an email, there was nothing he could do for me and to take care.... When I said that was unacceptable, and that I was not done, I received an email insinuating that he would take legal action stating that I was telling half truths and lies, so that being said, I have deleted my reviews and am going to do as I did with this one and re-write them to state only things I have proof of in the form of service records, quotes, and emails. Be very cautious buying from this dealer, especially used, get everything in writing and ask for service records when possible. ready the reviews out there, you will see a pattern and very similar stories. For reference, Nothing was disclosed to me about this "well known oil pressure problem" that the owner is stating this truck suffers from.

There are a couple of people that need attitude adjustments at this place. It started this AM when I simply wanted to drop my keys off for a scheduled oil change. I walked into the service dept to find a guy minding his own business. He never acknowledged me and disappeared. He came back about a minute later and I asked him if I could leave my keys for a scheduled appt. He looked at me and responded, "I dont know, I just got here!" Then, he pointed to another guy I needed to talk to who was more willing to help, but asked me to hold a minute and made sure I knew they werent open yet. I told him I was in a hurry to get to work and he explained I could fill out an early bird slip instead. This was completely fine by me and wish I wouldve just done that to begin with. If youre not open and dont want to be bothered, THEN LEAVE THE FREAKING DOOR LOCKED UNTIL YOU ARE OPEN! Its not that difficult. Then I come back to pick up my car. I explain to the cashier I purchased an easycare contract from another dealer and we went thru this process last Oct to resolve it. I asked her if she could look it up in their database to see how it was resolved. She says she remembers me from 8 months ago and just goodwilled the oil change in Oct. Last Oct she kindly gave me my keys back, took my number down, and said she would call if there were any issues. Come to find out shes the controller and not just the cashier on duty. She told me shes the controller and doesnt work in service. I could care less what your title is, I just want someone who knows something and be treated with some respect. Well all of this could have been prevented if she would have done her job back in Oct and called me back. I called the dealer I purchased the car from and got my answer within 5 min. It turns out they didnt need to goodwill the oil change in Oct if the controller wouldve have done her job properly and called me back in Oct. Kudos to Tom there who actually knew something about Easycare contracts and was very polite. Needless to say I wasted about 30 min of my time which all couldve have been prevented had the controller done her job properly in Oct and knew something. They actually wouldve been paid in Oct instead of just goodwilling it. Come to find out I will not have to ever go back there as my EasyCare contract works with a competing dealer down the road.

In Dec 2015 i purchased a 2008 ESCALADE from shakopee chevy. Interest rate offered by their financing was double what I pay now through my bank after re financing. And that was after the rate was corrected due to some "mix up" related to the extended warranty i purchased...mix ups seem to be a theme at the shakopee gong show. The finance guy forgot to have me sign something and instead of offering to come to me, I had to drive back to dealer to correct their mistake. One of the key fobs was literally scotch taped together on my 25k escalade. Classy. Icing, meet cake. I got a call last month from my bank saying that the dealer gave me the wrong plates and that my title was never processed. When I stopped in to the dmv to untie the mess, I was told shakopee chevy did not initiate the title work until mid February of 2016. It sat on someones desk for 3 months? How is that possible? I had to buy tabs twice for this vehicle in 2017 due to the same kind of mix up". The dealer gave me plates with tabs that were expired and I had to buy new tabs even though the previous owner had paid registration through February 2017. I run a business and have 3 kids and have a lot of time to sit in the dmv waiting to wait some more. Dont they sell cars every day? Why is the staff so confused about the process? It couldnt get worse...could it? Despite the fact I bought a full extended power train warranty I just had to drop 2500 on repairs to the shocks and air ride compressor that were not covered. The dash light went on about a month after we bought it. That means the truck was broken before shakopee chevy even started the paperwork to transfer the title which I still dont have. In fairness I have not even called the dealership to complain because I fully expect the same level of professionalism I received during purchase and have lost enough time screwing around.
