Worst place Ive ever dealt with as far as buying a used car. First thing, the battery took a dump on me the first day I had the car. Took a bit of arguing with them to get me a new battery but they did. Now...I bought the car on July 28th. Fast forward to now, had to take car in because the service engine light came on and it was very obviously misfiring. Heres where things get screwy. BOTH shops I took the car to gave me the same diagnosis, the engine is totally shot and needs to be replaced. This car has 114k miles on it. Its knocking and making a ton of noise coming from the lower part of the engine. 4/8 cylinders were misfiring, they changed the ignition coil packs and it made the problem EVEN WORSE. So I ask the mechanic if this is a problem that would have come up within the less than 60 days Ive had the car, mechanic says no way, no way in hell whoever had the car before me didnt know about this. So then he proceeds to show me something else...he pulls the dipstick out of the engine and its covered in this thick, grayish, metallic fluid. Definitely doesnt look like any oil Ive ever seen in my life and the mechanic at the NAPA place told that it appeared to him that some type of sealant, like something youd put in to stop a leak, was put in the engine to mask the noise it was making, because it didnt start making this noise until a week or two after I got the car. So I start dialogue with Bob, the owner of Certified Auto. Rude right from the get go. He tells me the car was inspected before it was sold to me. I tell him about the odd substance in the engine and that I was told it appears that someone put something in it to cover the noise for a short time. I never said HE put it in there and even pointed out that the sticker from the previous oil change was from HIS mechanic in Bondurant. So what does Bob do? He continues to accuse me of sabotaging the car I JUST BOUGHT!!! Why in the hell would I sabotage a vehicle I need to get around?!? Then he starts talking about how I have driven for Uber as though that has anything to do with this. Next thing I know, hes telling me that this is my fault because I didnt purchase the extended warranty they sell...but heres the thing, I specifically asked the sales person Carlos if this 05 Cadillac Deville had a warranty available, and I was told no, one wasnt available on this vehicle. Now had I been offered one, I wouldve been an idiot to not get it on an 11 year old Caddy. Needless to say these people are SHADY as all get out. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! Not to mention, I got the caddy because they sold a truck I was looking at out from under me when they knew I had a loan approved for it...worst place Ive ever been. Absolute worst. Ill never do business there again and will tell EVERYONE I know not to as well. Dont let these guys f**k you like they did me. Ive already filed a complaint with the better business bureau and are taking other steps to fix this as well.

One of the most unprofessional businesses I have ever frequented. We dont always remember what people do for us however we absolutely always remember how they make us feel. I completely understand that numbers are numbers and business is business however customer service and professional courtesy should always be displayed when patrons are spending their hard earned money with you. Bob Daugherty has the same unjustifiable ignorant and belittling demeanor as an old slave owner whose fire is still lit and ready to burn down church houses "for the better". This owner makes it uncomfortably noticeable that he does not want the business of African Americans. They have disclosed confidential information regarding other customers of theirs with me for no apparent reason other than to humiliate and degrade the integrity of those that are again, spending their hard earned money with them. I have only been a customer of theirs for two months and I regret the day I purchased a vehicle with this company. I recommend NO ONE to conduct business with them as they proudly showcase a superior persona amongst those they believe to be lesser than them, yet lack the automotive knowledge one SHOULD possess when operating a vehicle business as they werent able to efficiently answer questions regarding the conditions of the vehicles they are selling. One star is reflected on this review only because it is required, in all honestly this company doesnt even deserve one.

Both Bob and Carlos are the easiest people at a dealership I have ever had the pleasure to meet. We also bought a 2016 Chevrolet 1500 lt, which we are pleased with. They took the time to help us on our quest for the right vehicle. When the "bank" quoted us on our loan Bob and Carlos beat the bank by 1%!!! This is by far the easiest smoothest buying transaction we have made. Dont hesitate to call or show up, you should get a really great deal if you tell them what it is you want.

Bought my 2012 Jetta from there and love it! Everyone there was very friendly and helpful for my first car buying experience! They even sent me a tin of cookies in the mail as a thank you.

Great to deal with. Found a great car and I was in and out in less than an hour. No pressure, and no nonsense.
