They had very beautiful rings and a nice selection. The jewelry also did seem to be reasonably priced, so if youre looking for cheaper rings, and dont care how youre treated, go here. The service was less than satisfactory. My boyfriend and I went in to browse their selection and to get a better idea of the style of ring I liked. We found one that I do really love. The price was decent, but in order to put it on layaway we needed to pay $775 on the spot. That may not be a lot for some folks, however, As it was the beginning of the month, there were many other bills due (rent, car payment, student loans, etc) AND we had no intention of buying a ring THAT DAY. My boyfriend and I agreed that we didnt want to put that much down that day, we wanted to wait, pay the other bills, and payday was in 1 week so we would come back then. Upon informing the sales lady of this she stated " Well really, whats going to change between right now and next week?". I informed her and she just shrugged it off and proceeded to ask again if we could put that money down today. I thought that was extremely disrespectful. Also, when we told her the name of the other store where we had found a ring we really liked, she proceeded to spend 7 - 10 minutes telling me all of the reasons we should not purchase our ring from the other jeweler. I had been told to go here by a family friend, and was sorely disappointed.

Fantastic experience, I went to Shane Co. after visiting several other prominent jewelry stores in Minneapolis and was upset that I didnt visit here first. I was immediately greeted by Tom (I believe) but he was helping someone until Alexa could swing by and help me out. Like a deer in headlights, a typical guy shopping for a engagement ring, I had no idea what I was doing, what I was looking for, just knew what my budget was, and that was about it. As a small business owner, I truly appreciated the process in which they take you, it was very fluid and excellent for anyone new to the diamond world. Alexa was extremely patient, never seemed pushy, didnt get annoyed with my questions and was overly pleasant throughout the entire experience. I arrived at the store around 6:45PM and they close at 8PM, but I was there well past 8PM and they didnt seem to mind and were more focused on getting the right diamond for me. They were able to set the ring for me with the diamond I picked and have it ready for me within 24 hours, which was perfect because I was popping the big question on Thanksgiving. Of course it went well, and she loved the ring, and I know shell love the experience when we go back to Shane Co. for the bands and anything else well ever need.

Customer service is TERRIBLE. My future husband and I were picking out engagement rings together and found one we fell in love with. However, we found out we may not be able to get the ring with the diamond we wanted. The sales woman said shed give us a call in a week to let us know if they could do what we were asking for, but in the meantime we should "put 20% down to ensure the ring doesnt go anywhere." Thats where things went south. 1. she started dancing behind the cashier as we were paying, as if in celebration to say "haha we just got your money!" 2. 1 week went by and we heard nothing. 2 weeks went by and we finally went back to see if she had heard anything. Instead of apologizing, she told us we werent clear enough about whether or not we were interested.(apparently putting 2k down on a diamond doesnt seem like we are interested?) After that visit, she again told us it would be a week before we heard back, but would give us a call. 1 week later, no call. Really unfortunate because I really fell in love with the ring and now dont even want to tell my boyfriend that one was my favorite because I know how much he doesnt want to go back there because of how terrible their service was. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone I care about.

I went into this store to look for some specific style rings. The girl that attempted to help me didnt seem to be very knowledgeable about the rings. I was handed a couple rings that fit the style I was looking for. After holding it in my hand and inspecting the ring it was much lighter than other rings I had looked at with other jewelers. The inside of the ring near the head was hollowed out a little bit to save on metal. I didnt like the choices they had and the quality I saw in the rings. I ended up walking out of there realizing that Shane Co must cut corners to reduce the quality of their jewelry. Also, the Shane Co commercials on the radio are very annoying and falsely advertise your products. I now change the radio station every time I hear Tom on the radio because he is so annoying. If you truly hand pick every one of your "sparkly" diamonds, please prove to all your listeners how you manually pick thousands of diamonds from your sources in Bangkok. It just doesnt seem possible and is just a marketing gimmick.

I came here to buy the engagement ring for my fiancee and had a very pleasant experience. I had casually gone to a few other places but always felt like they were trying to shoo me away once they found out I had a limited budget (Im a student, so Im not exactly rich). Here, I mentioned what my upper limit was and what I had room for and the salesman, Eric Feld, didnt bat an eyelash at it. He spent nearly two hours working with me and my friends that Id brought along for support until we found the right band and diamond for my budget. Ultimately, my wife-to-be loved the ring and I couldnt be happier with the purchase. Ultimately, after going to other stores and feeling insulted (especially in Mall of America, seriously if you go to places there and say you dont have a fortune to drop on a ring they make you feel like youre a total loser), it was nice to come to a place that was friendly and took the time to explain options and endure my lengthy decision making process. I would definitely recommend them.

My parents asked me to write this because of the exceptional service they received this past weekend. After going to 3 other jewelers, my parents stopped by Shane after a recommendation from a friend. My mom was having her mothers stones added to her ring. After being quoted LONG wait times and ridiculous charges at the other places, they agreed to do the addition to her setting with Shane. Shane gave them a really fair price as well as a reasonable (weeks less) turn-around time to complete the job. The day of pick-up, there was a small hiccup due to a sick jeweler. Shane was very apologetic and offered to buy my parents dinner for the extended wait time, which again was not a huge deal and that they were extremely apologetic for. My parents have since raved about their excellent experience, and felt that Shane Co. really went above and beyond for them. They communicated very well, and took good care of the customer. Thanks!
