Ive periodically patronized Honda Town over the course of 35+ years and many bikes for parts, repairs, and preventive maintenance and have always found the owners and staff to be friendly, very knowledgeable, and fair. So I was surprised and disappointed with my latest Honda Town experience. I brought in my Honda Reflex to have a 12v power outlet installed in the glove compartment in the place provided by Honda for just that purpose. I asked that a Honda part be used if there was one to minimize the possibility of future wiring issues. I reviewed what I wanted with their new "technician", Gary I think. I wanted to know the protocols he used for wiring and went over everything, twice, to make sure he got it. Gary sounded confident and skilled but bluster, unfortunately, is where his skills proved to end. When I went to pick up the Reflex the first time, I paid the bill, which had now inflated to $235, climbed on the scooter, and discovered the fuse for the just installed outlet was blown. Gary changed the fuse, tested it, and the fuse blew again. Apparently no testing had been done once the job was completed. Tim seemed as disappointed as I was and wanted an opportunity to fix the problem. When I went back the second time, I plugged in the phone charger and the wiring started to smoke profusely. Turns out Gary "fixed" the problem by completely removing the fuse holders and directly wiring the outlet to the battery. Apparently no testing had been done once the job was completed. The third time, the power outlet worked OK but rather than being in the spot thoughtfully provided by Honda for that purpose, a large hole was drilled in the glove box and the power receptacle and wires, wrapped in electrical tape, was just laying in there loose. And I was billed another $51 for a total of $286. I was upset and just wanted to leave. Afterward when I voiced my displeasure and lack of confidence in their work I could actually see, and intended to take it to another dealer. Tim refunded $120 bringing my total Honda Town loss to $166. I took it to a different Honda dealer who quoted the work I requested with the Honda part that plugs into the harness for $80 for labor and $38 for the Honda part. Motorcycling can be risky and equipment or repair failures can have profound consequences. Given the risks of injury or breakdown, I usually have work, including the recommended maintenance performed at prescribed intervals, done on my Honda bikes by Honda dealers. I feel I have the right to reliance on Honda dealers to deliver a high degree of competence, appropriately trained and skilled technicians, and rigorous service protocols that include testing. Especially for the hourly rates Honda Town and other Honda dealers typically charge. For me, there’s value in that. Unfortunately, that was not my most recent experience at Honda Town.

Called Honda Town to have some new tires I purchased installed. I received a qoute over the phone at 70 bucks a tire. That was the same amount that my normal guy charges but he is also 30 miles away. So I went with the local one to give them some business. It is partial my fault for not confirming the price but when I picked it up they are now charging me 85 bucks a tire. I had no proof to back up that price and they were not will to work with me either. Instead starting a fight, I kept my mouth shut and just paid the extra 30 bucks. I get my bike and this first thing i notice is that there is an extra 100 miles on my bike. I asked the mechanic about this and he stated that is what it came in at. I showed him my txt with my mileage. He couldnt explain it. I think somone had a good time on my bike. There are also 3 new scratches on the tank as will as the new cleaner I had installed 2 weeks ago. I would highly recommned not bringing you toy here. They will first screw you on the price and then take it out for joy ride. Who knows what the kid did when riding it. Also, they also state that they have a honda certified mechanic on staff, ask to the certificate, I bet you they cant.

Great experience. I have been to Honda Town several times in the past and both the service and sales staff have been friendly and helpful. This most recent time solidified in my mind that this is the place I need to go for all Honda service and sales needs. I showed up at Honda Town at 5:40pm (they close at 6). I needed tires changed on 2 wheels, I had the wheels, tires and tubes ready to go. I assumed I would drop them off and pick them up the next day. I brought the wheels into the service area in the back and was greeted by Gary one the mechanics. When I asked where I should leave the wheels, he responded "want me to do them right now?" I thought he was being sarcastic but he quickly grabbed a wheel and went to work. He was finished with both tires at around 6. This is unheard of service and exceeds what I expect from any auto or motorcycle shop. Thank you Gary and thank you Honda town. I will definitely be back.

Service was ok, but tried to return two tires that I ended up not needing, and they wouldnt return them without the receipt. Well, I didnt have the receipt, and asked them if they had a copy. They said they didnt, and I responded that my reciept was a carbon, so they must have the original. He said they couldnt return it without the receipt. *edit* - I just read assclowns review. The person at the front desk and the old lady just give you the run around. No returns. So I can attest to what that person experienced I stated that I didnt have it, so does that leave me with two tires that I dont need. The response was, well, I guess so. Way to go on the customer service. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Ordered a part online and paid for it in full, said it would be there in 5-7 days. 10 days later, I call asking where it is. The guy I spoke to said he looked up my order and it should be there any day. 10 days after that I call again only to be told they never received my order, just my money. They say there must be something wrong with the website. I ask them to actually order it this time, apparently they cant get the part even though you can purchase it on their site. Glad I could give you an interest free loan for a month! Fix your website! Dont let people buy parts you dont have and dont tell me it will be there soon if you never actually ordered the part.

Nice guys, but very disorganized with poor staff communication. Had my late-model motorcycle for and entire winter and didnt do any work on it. It took them another month to diagnose the problem, and when I decided against the work, they didnt have my bike ready for me when I came to pick it up. Final indignities included them spending a half hour just trying to locate the keys, then not being able to start the bike because they hadnt finished hooking the electrical cables back up. These guys have been around for decades, but after my experience, I have no idea how theyve stayed in business this long. Go elsewhere.
