This place is like a convenient store to me, because the location is great. But, like most convenient stores most products are priced that way. They do have some good deals on new items youve never heard or tried, but the prices on those items make you say , why not for that price ($)? Would have rated better had my Titos vodka, thats first got here, didnt go from around $25 bucks to $27 something. $30 an change with taxes ☹. I save about $3 bucks at Sams & about $6 bucks at Total Wine.

The place feels very scuzzy. The clientele is not trustworthy so there are lots of employees and guards watching expecting you might steal. The prices are nothing special, average to the other places in the area Ive visited. A lot of reviews say they are the best prices in town but thats just a lie. Id rather go down the road to Lake Wine & Spirits 10 times out of 10. The one benefit here is they often have blowouts on some random liquors they were able to buy dozens of cases of.

Excellent prices, especially on liquors, and they usually have some decent specials as well. Regarding the cop and/or security officer, Ive been going there over 20 years and have only been mugged in the parking lot one time, when someone came up behind me, snatched my bag of bourbon from my hand, and ran off. Customer service was good -- I went back in the store, explained the situation, and the store replaced the bourbon with charge.

For our wedding, my wife & I compared other wholesalers and liquor stores in the Twin Cities, and found Chicago-Lake Liquors to have the best prices and good selection. Plus the service was amazing! Matt even helped us with picking out our red wine. Had them deliver to our venue the morning of our wedding and everything went perfect. Overall great experience, couldnt have beaten the price and service we got.

Great prices and a solid selection. You can get a bottle of wine, a case of Bud, your favorite craft brew, a 40, or a bottle of spirits. They have it all and they make an effort to support local brewers and distillers. This place used to have a reputation as a rough place on a rough corner. Ive been a regular for over 10 years and Ive never had a problem.

Beer blow-out deals can be amazing, but lately they seem to be fewer and farther between. Otherwise decent prices, just a smidge below average. Occasional drama inside, often drama outside. The parking lot will test your urban street wisdom. Not a good place for confrontations !

Great selection and good specials. The parking lot is a three ring circus on Friday and Saturday nights, but the bank lot across the street is quieter if you dont want someone to scratch your car. And, the cop is there for a reason - it doesnt bother me one bit.

Theres always an interesting bunch wandering about this place looking for the best deal. Believe me, youll find it here. From my experience, the cheapest prices outside of Total Wine are at Chi-Lake. I really like the clearance beer...

A very lively liquor store. You could get in a fight. Or you could get patted down at the door. Or you could just get in and out. Excellent selection of wine and liquor. Great refrigerated section too. Prompt and friendly cashiers.

Screw this place they close their doors early on a Friday night. Who the heck does that? I literally saw over a dozen people walk up to the door just to turn around and all of them would be paying customers...bad business guys

Customer service at this liquor store could not be better. Bill told me that they carried my brand of beer by the case and then called me back and left a message letting me know thats they only carried it in a 6 pack.

Selection of libations is grand here but I feel like Im going to be robbed or shanked Everytime I enter the parking lot or leave the store. The constant pan handling dirt bags in the lot are ever present.

Best store boardering on comfort levels. Make it through the 1 pm fifth buying drunks this shop is the best in town. More importantly the owner Mr. Wolf is beyond gracious, customer for life.
