I have lived in the north loop for quite some time and regardless of the savings I could get by walking an extra half mile, I really appreciate the friendly staff, suggestions and pleasant atmosphere of this store. I usually send several friends to this friendly establishment, if I dont stop in or have my partner stop in, I order delivery. Everyone has always been very kind and helpful. I typically do not order enough to meet the delivery minimum so I ask them to add the additional money as a tip in addition to me tipping the delivery person at my door. I live quite close (google map walk is 0.4 miles) and called today to place a delivery order. I was my usual friendly self and when asked for my address I prefaced it by saying "oh Im pretty much across the street and laughed," then proceeded to give my address. To my surprise I was interrupted by this RUDE & clearly DISGRUNTLED gentleman saying "ACTUALLY ITS NO WHERE NEAR ACROSS THE STREET ITS ABOUT 5 BLOCKS AWAY!!" ... Wow, just wow... I apologized for my joking manner and the fact that i did not calculate the precise blocks (keep in mind 0.4 WALKING miles) and proceeded with my order. I realize this may be something that many people would look over and not think twice, however, the number one reason we love this neighborhood is how kind everyone is and how friendly the customer service is. To stress the importance of precisely how important it is to be kind to each other, I have made the decision that this is the last time I shop here, have anything delivered here or refer friends here. Sad that such a small instance can have such an impact on a company despite all the great service I have received.

Fair warning, the prices are at least 10% higher than elsewhere. If you are walking, their only competition is Whole Foods, so you just gotta deal with the prices. The staff is quite knowledgeable, and the higher end selection is above average. The wine selection is probably the most impressive. They do not have a lot of economy buys. Occasionally they have a wine tasting event that I highly recommend you attend.

Wow, what a cool place! I just moved to Minneapolis from the East Coast. Theyve got tons of wines and beers I havent been able to find on my travels. And the guy helping pick out Italian wine really knew his stuff. Not the closest place to where I live, but Ill be going back.

I really like going here. It is close to my place and the people that work here are really nice. They will help you find anything think. There also will give you advice on what to get. There selection is really good.

They have a lot of liquor choices and provide a decent set of options for hard to find wine/beer/liquor. They also have a bit higher price point than you can find at other chain stores, though.

Location, location, location. The high prices are outweighed by convenience, ambiance, and an obvious passion for quality beer, wine, and liquor. Check out the wine classes in the basement!

Great neighborhood spot for wide selection of beer, wine and spirits. Very friendly and knowledgeable team. They have beer tastings on Tuesday and wine tastings on Friday and Saturday.
