Knowledgeable and helpful staff is what I describe my experience with this Total Hockey store. I came in this store to buy a pair of skates for one of my sons who is just starting to play hockey. The staff greeted me by asking me how can they assist me today as soon as I walked in the store. I explained that I am looking to buy a pair of skates for my son whereby I had no idea where to start. The individual that I spoke with did play hockey and is very familiar with hockey gear overall. The individual helped with finding the right size of skate for my son as well as I bought a pair of skates that this individual recommended. In addition, this employee informed me about their Breakaway Rewards program whereby I can save money on future purchases. My experience was great. I walked out of this store knowing more about hockey gear and equipment than I ever thought I would. I would definitely recommend to buy from them and I will continue to do so in the near future.

Ill keep this brief since Im absolutely disgusted with my most recent experience here. I was in the store this past Sunday looking for Christmas gifts when I overheard a conversation at the counter. A man behind the counter was raising his voice with a female customer and didnt appear to be handling the situation properly. It was a very uncomfortable atmosphere during and after this occurred for me, as I didnt want to approach the counter and be treated the same way. On my way out of the store I caught a glimpse of the mans nametag that read "manager". I will gladly pay more for my hockey equipment at another store that treats customers correctly and am certain that I will NEVER return to any Total Hockey store in the future.

So-so. My dad and I went in both looking for skates for our adult leagues. We walked in and all four employees looked up at us, then tried to avoid eye contact. We walked around for about 15 minutes with employees treating us as if we were lepers. I then looked at skates for about 20 minutes and no one wanted to help. When my dad went up to make his purchase, when asked by the cashier "did you find everything that you needed?" My dad replied, "No. We were looking at buying skates, but no one seems to want to help us." The employee immediately was very helpful. All in all, good selection of gear, staff not friendly unless you say that you are unhappy with service.

The employees here have vast knowledge & expertise when it comes to their products. Unfortunately there are only a few employees that know about goalie stuff so if you need help youd better hope theyre working, however the ones that do are extremely helpful & know what theyre talking about. I love the overall experience of the shop-its a neat, fun, friendly atmosphere for a customer of any skill level. Excellent customer service is yet another reason I give this place a 5 out of 5.

5 employees working, 0 wanted to help. Overheard the guy sharpening skates and 1 employee laughing over how he really didnt sharpen the skates. Overheard employees mocking customers over the way they inquired about gear. Didnt have my size in something as simple as elbow pads. A waste of time going there, probably got made fun of after I left by teenagers who dont know their product. Will not go back.
