Worst possible experience. Not worthy of any stars. Save yourself the trouble of dealing with angry staff and go elsewhere. I dropped my boat off for some basic spring work. I came back with a damaged trim cable - not there before. They claimed they had nothing to do with. I later realize it was leaking gear lube from the lower unit which they just changed. Upon investigating the issue myself, I realize their mechanic failed to completely tight the fill valve screw. I tighten that down and there were no more leaks. Nothing - not a drop leaking anywhere. The lower unit had water in it from the screw not being tightened. I took it back for them to redo. No apologies, no sign they cared. But they redid it. They called me to tell me it was ready but they thought the prop shaft seals were bad. They werent sure but they wanted to replace them. I said no. When I showed up to pick up my boat, I received a lengthy lecture from the owners wife about how I was going to destroy my motor by not allowing them replace the prop shaft seals. Seals that were replaced a year ago and have never shown any signs of leaking. They refused to help me connect my boat. I took home and parked it overnight. The next morning I came out to find a huge puddle of gear lube directly under the prop - never been there before. It wasnt there before I took it to them. Upon calling the owner about this - he denied the whole thing and refused to do anything to help with the issues. He was very angry and clearly didnt care. So if the owner doesnt care about terrible service dont waste your money there. I ended up having to pay another mechanic to redo everything they charged me over $200 to do.

Ive had multiple experiences with Lighthouse. Some with friends, and some of my own toys. Im a newer boat owner, but theyve always helped me out in a jam. Come to Lighthouse for true customer service. They did some serious hunting when I broke a leaf-spring on my boat trailer, and were able to find a new one for me. I looked for weeks! Ive worked with all members of their staff, and even ran into them testing a boat at one of our local lakes. They knew exactly who I was! If thats not customer service, I dont know what is! These guys are great, check them out! Dont keep them too busy though, because I still need them. ;-) Ill be bringing my boat in for a pretty big job within the next few weeks, I will write another review once I get it back. I cant imagine itll be anything less than the full 5 stars! By far the best marine mechanic south of the cities, and worth the drive if youre a little further away!

I had a 1995 Bayliner with Force Outboard. Ive had so much trouble with this boat. I wont name any names, but I had brought this stupid motor to 3 different places in the metro and every time it seemed worse than when I brought it in. The summer is short already and I was ready to burn the thing down. A friend of mine recommended Lighthouse so I loaded up the boat and brought it in. THESE GUYS NAILED THE PROBLEM! Ever since then motor runs like a watch. To add to it all, these guys service everything. Ive got a Polaris ATV and a Yamaha motorcycle at home and finally I have one place that can service all them. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Love these guys. On several occasions Ive walked in with a boat part in hand and theyve known exactly what it was and what it was from just by looking at it. Other Marine joints are usually clueless and resort to the book right away. Theyre super friendly and theyll walk you thru maintenance and installation tips too. They even allowed me to exchange a used prop for a different pitch. Their prices are always the lowest on everything Ive checked too. Everything! Sometimes lower by a mile. Theyre a bit out of the way but theyre worth it.

Im not convinced my tune up was done correctly on my boat. Ill bring it elsewhere this spring to see if theres any difference. These guys arent cheap and when I told them I didnt think everything was running correctly they just blew me off. Anyway I lost 4 mph after the tune up.
