Spoiled Limeade

Im sorry but I dont appreciate when I see animals dying. I was in this store today looking at beta fish and they all had fin rot. The containers they where in where full of algae. This made me want to leave but what really made me leave was the leapord geckos. One that they had there was the side of my thumb. The cage it was in was full of gecko feces and un-eaten crickets. I felt sorry for the gecko. After that, I looked at the fish. To be fair, most if not all of the other fish where well kept for. The only exception to this was the clownfish. The clownfish themselves looked healthy but the tanks filtraton system or wave system was way too high so the already bad at swimming fish could barely move an inch forward. The beta in the front on in the bowls and vases where okay but its bad to advertise beta in small things like that. Beta need 1gal. Your tanks for sale where really nice, your fish (for the most part) looked okay and so did your turtles.

Recently, i bought a Leopard Gecko from the fish guy. They told us about the undertank heat pad, and his food. But, what he didnt tell us, is that he needs Calcium on his food every time he eats, and he said he would be fine in a 5.5 gallon tank. When we bought the gecko, it came with bark flooring. Bark flooring is bad for the little guy, because he could mistake a piece of bark, for a cricket. We had to go shop at petco to get all the needed items, and he also never told us about the humid hide you need, for it to help with shedding.

Went into this store a couple month back. I looked around for at least 20 min at all the cool fish set-ups they have. Not once did the guy working there offer to help me, all he did was talk to another customer he must have known well. I was interested in buying or at least asking about some fish form my aquarium but after several attempts of making eye contact passing the employee on duty with no success at gaining his attention i left the store and will never return.

My husband and I have an all male Peacock and Hap tank so we went to check out "The Fish Guy" store for cichlid stock. He had great fish for us to choose from and for a great price. Prices were comparable to other local aquarium stores. Plus he had a really friendly dog to play with while my husband made up his mind! Thanks for a good experience "Fish Guy".We will definitly go back if were in the neighborhood.

I dont know what I would do without The Fish Guy. I used to drive to Minneapolis for my aquarium needs but Billy and the staff are now my go to store for all things fish and pets. There is simply no other place like this around. The fish are top quality as well as the aquarium supplies sold by an expert, knowledgeable staff. Oh, they also carry top quality dog and cat food and accessories!

Great place with a great selection of salt and freshwater fish and accessories. Always getting new stocks of fish in so the variety is always changing. Staff is very knowledgeable as well. The membership club is well worth it also if you purchase stock frequently.
