If your looking for a hassle youll find it at That Furniture Outlet. The sales person who meet us at the door smell strongly of cigarettes, our first impressions were not great but my wife and I decided to make an investment in multiple pieces for our living room, a beautiful solid wood table and chairs for our kitchen, and were exploring options for our basement. Because of the size of the sale, the sales person said they would throw in the living room chair at the time of check out. The owner allowed us to take a chair to pick the color of the table, this was a nice touch. That said he negated the service with a comment during price negotiating when he explained that he "wouldnt give his dead mother a 10% discount". The "free chair" was also removed from the offer. Upon arriving home, my wife and I realized that the couch wouldnt fit as planned in the living room. I called and spoke to a sales person who "canceled" the order for the living room furniture. He asked when we would be back to pick out different items. I replied after the holidays. I asked for a copy of the cancellation and he explained that the delivery team would provide the final invoice at the time of delivery. The delivery men arrived and attempted to deliver the canceled furniture, all items were kept on the truck. Upon delivery of the table, the men damaged our living room wall, wore their shoes in our home, and left the door open. My wife asked the men to close the door but didnt feel comfortable engaging the men as they were intimidating. Upon inspection of the dining chairs we found all chairs were damaged, scratches, dents, etc. The next morning, I contacted That Furniture and asked to speak to the manager. I was told that she was with a customer and would call me back in an hour. After an hour passed, I called back to find that the manager left for the day. At this point I had enough and decided to call the credit card company to dispute the charges. To my dismay, all of the living room furniture was still on our credit card, no credit had been issued... Days later I was able to speak with the manager, she asked that I document the issues including photography in an email, which I did. She also explained that she would respond the following day via email as resolution. Several days past with no response. I sent multiple emails documenting the non-response, then received the following single line email "Our attorney is drafting a response that you will be receiving shortly by mail." Stay tuned...Ill certainly let everyone know how the issues are resolved.

I consider myself to be a very patient person but after 2 months of waiting for a king mattress to be delivered and the wrong one being delivered I had to get my refund back. I walked in the store precisely on June 25 2016 and within about 3 trips I had purchased items for slightly over 5k. The customer sales person Bruce is a very nice guy. Shortly after my purchases the nightmare began. The sofa set that i ordered is not what was delivered, I got the floor display and their response; "we will give you discount on it". Then came the queen mattress also from display with another discount but what got me very disappointed is the king mattress that I ordered the same time. The order was screwed and after three weeks found out it was never ordered because the owner had a fallout with seally but I wasnt informed about it. They then kept pushing for me to get their display mattresses from Ashleys which I tried them and didnt like any of them. As a matter of fact on one Sunday when I went to inquire about my order the owners brother told me he sleeps on seallys mattress! So I waited after Linda prevailed over the owner to order it and promises of delivery each weekend but would only get pushed further because of issues with the "truck" or "not knowing when the order would come in". Finally last Saturday 8/20/16 I would take the mattress Id waited for after it was finally at the store when I had been asking for my refund. On delivery day, it turned out to be the wrong mattress!! Not to mention that I had also received the wrong dresser delivered 2 weeks ago!! Additionally I had to call the store 2-3 times a week (as adviced by delivery guys) to remind them about my order and their response would be "so what are we missing again from your order?" The prices are truly reasonable, Bruce and the delivery guys are very professional and apologetic but this place has serious miscommunication issues. The owner seems arrogant that if you give them your business or not it doesnt matter. If you like to purchase the floor models then its a good place to buy them but if you decide to order from them, think twice!! I was informed that if you dont follow up on your order and somebody at the store wants to purchase the arrived order, they will sell it!! So once youve ordered, keep calling and follow through.

Ok, we got a nice couch at a pretty reasonable price and the staff at the store was helpful enough to get the job done. They werent open to negotiating much on the deal (we spent four digits on furniture in there) but gave us a small discount. I was satisfied enough. They delivered the couch on time however thats where the nightmare began. Their delivery folks put a hole in our wall when they banged the door open on their way in. We pointed it out and they notated it on the delivery paperwork and we each took photos. They said, "just call in on Monday." I called and spoke with one of their staff who had the audacity to suggest that their team called in before they even came in the home to point out the damage and they took photos at that time. I knew not only the truth but that thats just not how this is done. Ive worked in liability claims for years and am well versed in this song and dance from delivery companies. After several accusatory emails back and forth and their refusal to disclose their insurance information I was offered a refund of the delivery fee which sounded like a dismissive offer however I figured I could fix their mistake on my own for that. I will never step foot in this store again and will try my hardest to steer anyone away from them. It might be a good place if you plan to move the stuff yourself but Im not going to give them any more of my money. My advice if you have them, or any delivery company, bring stuff in TAKE PHOTOS and make sure the damage is notated on the delivery paperwork because even when you do things right they jerk you around.

I waited for about 20 mins for someone to come help me. Two older men kept walking by me, looking at me but never asked if I needed help. Finally, I took it up9n myself to find someone to help me. The gentleman I asked for help was very kind and helped me purchase my furniture. The delivery of my furniture was another thing that I was highly disappointed with. The two men that delivered my furniture were nice and kind, but during the delivery my couches, both the main couch and the love seats fabric (imitation leather) were damaged and scratched in a few different places. Not to mention the movers did not know the backs of the couches came off making it easier to move. Overall it was a satisfactory experience, but nothing to hoot and holler about. Not sure if Id purchase here again for the fact I was overlooked in the store, as if I were there just window shopping. The sofa quality is terrible also. The following day after delivery my daughter sat on the arm which caved in, she weighs about 30 pounds, mind you. The backs on the sofas also come detached really easy which makes it hard to recline without having to push the back back on.
