Ive been shopping here for over a decade now, and am finally getting around to writing a review. Here are the reasons I shop at Ace first and foremost. 1. When you walk in, someone will generally greet you and ask if they can help you find anything. Then thell help you find it! Crazy. (I prefer that to "down isle 24, about a 1/4 mile, theyll be halfway up on the left. Or over in interiors.") 2. The employees at Ace actually want to help you. There have been a few times Ive come in asking for a part, but when I give the back story as to why, the staff figure out a better/cheaper or more effective fix. Love their helpfulness, and the prices are basically comparable to elsewhere. If your time is worth more than $1 an hour, its probably worth stopping here first.

I thought I liked it here, supporting local businesses and all. Then I bought some chicken wire I soon realized was hard to work with and I didnt even need it in the first place, so I brought it back, un-cut but unfortunately not in the plastic wrap so they wouldnt let me return it. I had the receipt and everything. Nothing was broke or damaged. So I left the store, out 20 bucks, stuck with a roll of wire, and feeling stupid. So, Im now done at ace hardware. What a bummer.

Ive always supported local hardware because they can stock hard to find niche hardware for my rebuilding projects. ordering non stock stuff is way easier than the big box stores. also, my go to place for chrome hardware for motorcycle custom work.

Fixed the wheels on my sliding screen door and rescreened it. Its awesome now. I had my baby in his car seat with and someone carried out the screen door and helped me put it in my car.
