I walked in knowing my skin and knowing what I wanted to take in samples so I could go home and see how my skin would react to the products. I started with a lovely woman who was really helpful even though several rude customers continued to interrupt her trying to figure out my skin type and color match. She passed me off to the Benefit woman. She sat me down and asked me all the questions. My skin is VERY dry and sensitive, it also hates powder, so please dont put powder on me. She used their new primer and then continued to put a VERY pale shade on my not that pale skin and then powdered my whole face. My face immediately began to flake and do what it does when you put powder on it. She then looked at me and said, "Hmm lets see how we can fix this." They dont listen to you as a customer, I know my skin and what it does but yet she continued to apply things to my skin that I knew werent good. I then went to the Laura Mercier area and she wanted to find out my skin tone and she proceeded to take makeup remover to just three little circles on my face leaving me looking insane. She attempted to "touch me up" but I had three very distinct circles on my face and my makeup began to run due to the horrible foundation the Benefit woman had put on me. I left Sephora with my samples but I will NEVER go back to the MOA store. A mix of rude and poorly trained workers.

Worst Sephora location in the Twin Cities. Rosedale and Woodbury are MUCH better. I went into the MOA one and asked about the Bare Minerals foundation, was told by the Bare Minerals lady it would give me the type of coverage I was looking for (medium-full) and got a good color match. I got home and tried it, it was not what I wanted so I had to drive back to Sephora (1 hr away) to return it. I asked another associate for help finding a better coverage foundation in my color. Her response was "Just go online and get matched." Ummm what? Why would I go online to find a foundation that works for me? She totally brushed me off. She could tell I was unhappy with this response so she grabbed another associate. I told her I was unhappy with Bare Minerals and it wasnt good coverage for me and I want something thicker. Her response "Well I dont know why you would buy it then, its sheer coverage only." Umm I bought it cause another rep told me it would work! She also directed me to the website to get an appropriate match. Well, I was there and out of foundation so I had to get something, so I walked out with NARS foundation which I will have to make ANOTHER trip to return, as its still way too sheer for me.... foundation is expensive, I paid $45, I expect help in making appropriate decisions if I ask for it. Isnt that their job?

I went in there last night with two friends after work to look at the kat von d line (I know we are late to the party) we where in the store for about 20min and no one came up to help us, the only time we finally got someone was when I went into a make up drore because they didnt have something on the shelf. Thats when I got a caty response of how I cant go in there and gave me the product I wanted. They also watched us from a far after this point, and one of my friends heard them talking poorly about us. You where not understaffed, we tryed to get help. I will not be returning to this location, Ill just take my butt to ulta.

Sephora is clearly the best place to find all types of beauty products, but I was so impressed by the staff at this particular location! Makeup artists Joseph and Roxy gave my friend and I mini eye-makeovers, and they were SO helpful and incredibly kind/friendly. They have an imposing knowledge base regarding what makeup/colors look best for different skin tones and eye colors and were able to help me create a new, natural look to match my newly-colored red hair. Thank you again Roxy and Joseph!! This was my best experience at sephora yet! (Out of roughly a million) :)

Worst costumer service ever! I usually dont write reviews at all, but this saphora made me want to!!! I love saphora I love shopping for makeup but the reps in the sales floor were just AWFUL!! They completely Ignored me when I tried getting their attention. One blonde gave me a big attitude that I was impressed on how rude she could be. Then she sent me over to another rep and they all treated me the same!! I just wanted to get colored match. Seriously saphora needs to get new workers ASAP in this location.!!!! Other locations are better.

I never have bad experiences at sephora, but today was different. I asked to try a sample of Sunday riley makeup remover cream and the lady rudely mentioned that it was higher end. I never asked for price, i just asked if it was the same texture of clinics take the day off. I also noticed she followed my sister and cousins around the store. She assumed I couldnt afford the product and thought I was stealing. I was beyond dissapointed. She tried it.

Location Mall of America MSP make-up artist Essence. Personal, full of knowledge, patient and extremely helpful! Essence was exceptional if I had held interviews on who would be the best for my make-over it would have been her. She taught me some new make-up techniques that were perfect for my 50++age group. From base coverage to eyeliner I love all the products that Essence recommended!

I was helped by Anissa, who made my first to sephora wonderful. She was bubbly, helpful and great energy. There was an African American lady in the perfume section who was very helpful and made choosing perfume that much easier. She knew what I wanted based on my likes. The other women working that store were a little snobby though.

I dont understand the bad reviews people have given. Everyone on the floor was amazing. Im not that confident with makeup, but they all the girls on the floor were very patient and helpful. You could tell by how they spoke that they loved their job and what they were doing. The cashiers had the same positive attitude.

I am not fond of this location. It is always busy, and a lot of the time they are out of the product you go here to get. I bought a tarte lipstick (which comes in a box) and come to find out, someone had opened it up and smudged it. I feel like that type of issue happens a lot at this location, so be careful.

Falina and the small Indian girl that work here are AMAZING!!! Dont listen to bad reviews. They get really crowded because they have great products and services but when its your turn everything is WONDERFUL! They are very knowledgeable and kind.

I just went today and had a make over by Falina who was wonderful!! She took her time to make sure that I liked the colors she was using and was aware of how the products worked. Very helpful and very much worth my 3 hour drive to get there.
