I went to this store to buy something for my new born at around 6pm on 8/14/10. when I was walking around with the store cart, i came across a ladder in between the shelves. It looked like someone used it once and discarded it there. when I was ready to check out, only one register was opened. There was a clerk at the next register talking to someone (a customer or a friend??), but the light was off. I was the 2nd person in the line while the register was checking out a couple. more than 5 minutes later, the person in front of me with 1 item and i were still waiting because the clerk experienced an technical difficulty (he had no idea what was going on and checking and calling and stuff). another 5 minutes later, one other store clerk came by and said that she could help the next person at the other register. so the person in front and i moved over. but this girl started a bunch of bullshit if the person wanted this and that promotion/credit card/discount card, blah blah blah. maybe another 5-7 minutes, i could not hold myself to ask if it would take her another 10 minutes to promote, otherwise i would be leaving. she told me no and it would be short. then when the guy handed her a coupon for discount, she again experienced a technical difficulty - she did not know if that was a valid coupon and she had to call and wait. I was waiting for this whole drama again. maybe another 5 minutes later, i could not hold my impatience (after a total of >20 minutes of waiting being the 2nd in line), i dropped off what i was planning to by and left the store. by the way, the couple at the original check point was still being "helped", maybe "held". if these store staff has no idea what they were doing, they should either be trained or replaced. who wants to go to a store and spend half of their day waiting to be checked out? I wouldnt. I will never go back to this store again in my life. I might not even want to visit another babies r us store, neither.

I registered for my baby shower earlier this year. I thought that they were WONDERFUL! We had a very helpful woman by the name of Beth (who recently retired - YAY for Beth!). When we needed to return items, we never had any problems. If it was on your registry and even if you did not have a receipt, you could exchange it. I have found nothing but professional staff who are always friendly, and I go there quite often. When I registered at Target (literally next door), the woman could have cared less; she stuck a registry gun in my hand and moved onto her next task. At Babies R Us, they host FREE classes on everything from Breastfeeding, car seats, babies 101, all kinds of stuff and they do have great sales.

Absolute worst customer service ever. DO NOT shop at Babies R Us. They do NOT care about their customers, at all. Ive been given the runaround for weeks regarding an order Im now trying to cancel. Was promised cancellation on Monday, called today because I havent heard anything about my refund, and Im being told the order wasnt cancelled. I was misinformed regarding pricing/shipping/ordering 3 times in store, called online, misinformed regarding my order status. Trying to cancel the order has led me down this road, where BRU true colors have come through! Currently on hold with "customer service", trying to get my problem resolved. Thank you for nothing.

We went there with competitors coupons from Buy Buy Baby which all Babies R Us stores are supposed to take. The cashier was rude and told us there was no Buy Buy Baby in the area so they wouldnt accept the coupons. We asked for some proof of this policy and they couldnt give us an explanation. We called the corporate office, first customer agent said all stores take them, then a second agent jumped on the line and told us they dont take them. Their a wacky store and their website is a pain. I have never had any complaints about the quality of the items but their stores give me a headache.

No staff anywhere to help. Went to front customer service and they didnt know the difference between a bassinet and a crib and couldnt tell us if they had any bassinets in the store or bassinet sheets to look at... wanted us to wander round with them as they figured out where their own stock was... been to BabiesRUs in other cities and they are great but this Ann Arbor/Ypsi store is pretty crap when it comes to knowledgable staff, service, any staff on floor at all!

Their baby registry is less than desirable. Many items disappeared from our registry due to being "discontinued" (i.e. pack n play, stroller, carseat) -- simply because BRU chose to carry a different color. Will shop there for wipes b/c of competitive pricing, but dont really go in without a coupon (or something to return).

This store has the absolute worst selection of toys! So many of the items for sale were obvious returns, the packages carelessly taped or stapled back together. The employees were not helpful. Never going here again.

This store does not exist, its an Office Max although there is a Toys R Us in the same parking lot. For Babies R Us head over to the Carpenter Rd one 2 miles away, by Target.

Nice staff but usually they dont even know the offers and you have to be carefully at the bill time. You may not get the offera that you have seen at the pick up place.

Another Babies R Us store with very friendly, helpful associates. Convenient access and ample parking. Price range is same as any other Babies R Us outlet.

Look for the discounted items section, I only shop from there. Staff is very friendly, although not as knowledgeable in my experience. Their IT is weak.
