I purchased a item out of this store and I paid cash. I went to return it and Eric.G and Steve.G said.that because I didnt have a receipt that they could not give me my cash back. They said that they could give me a meijer credit card, I said I didnt give you plastic so why should I be given plastic back. They said that unless I paid with a credit card and I can bring something in showing I paid for it with a card they could not help me. I said so you are depending on my to show you proof that I paid for something that you should have in your on system. The other lady said yes, we dont have a way to tell how you paid for it without a receipt, so I said are you say that a person can come in meijers and still something, bring it back and there is know way that you can tell how a person paid for it, she said yes. I think that this return policy is not consumor friendly and if I come in meijers and spend my hard earned money with meijers and I dont get back me money the way I paid for it. This is not customer service and telling your customers that the only way to get there money back is back giving them a meijers credit card that is only good at meijers, this is not giving your customers there money back. Its forcing your customers to only use meijers money and thats not how you got your customers money. I believe that there is a purchase item scam number on everything and that number should tell you how a customer purchased something. As consumers we should not have to go through this because you dont have the right system in place to make sure your not getting ripped off. I should not have my money tied up with a meijers card because meijers dont want to give me back my cash that I paid for the item with. I fill like you have taken my money and said you can only use it at meijers because you dont have a receipt and we dont have a way to tell how you paid for it. Sad sad sad and Im pist off about it...

Ive always appreciated the strectch in each Meijer that includes garden, hardware, plumbing, electrical, tools, paint, do it yourself, and home. The reason I mention it is because the items you find there; were you to find them in their respective stores like say Home Depot, AutoZone, would be more expensive. I hope to see expansion in these areas. My only real complaint is the lack of organic choices where you find prepared servings of food, just inside the produce area. I hope after time that changes. And in that same department I sometimes feel like the preparers of the servings arent always attentive to the quality of each portion. I regularly purchase servings of produce for work from Meijer in there prepared servings. And out of each serving, about 20% or more is waisted because it is sour or bad. I understand that to offer perishable goods comes with risk and responsibility, and not everything can be controlled, but Im hoping Meijer can find a solution to this. For the time being I will stick to buying their whole fruits, as the quality stays good for longer and is more controllable.

This store has really turned around since its recent remodel. Beforehand I would only venture in if I was in a hurry for something. Its so nice now to have such a large store where I can get almost anything I need even if its in the middle of the night. I think the remodel really brought this place back to life, more people are shopping here (sometimes I think too many people!) than driving to the White Lake Meijer like we used to do. The increase of shoppers seems to have greatly improved the quality of produce especially! The new self checkout registers are extremely frustrating and although Ive used them many times Im starting to go back to the cashier-run registers. If the self checkout registers were better monitored it wouldnt be such an inconvenience but when I have to wait for a cashiers attention no less than three times just to get the register to cooperate it definitely defeats the purpose. Overall a great store, I havent set foot in another grocery store in over 6 months!

Worst late night management ever!!! I went to my local Meijer store tonight to purchase a bottle of wine only to find they were waxing the floors of the liquor aisle. (12:30 am) Two other patrons were also there to purchase liquor and we were told by the idiot manager ( Patrick D) that we could not walk down the aisle because they had just waxed the floors. When I asked Patrick why they would not do this after 2 a.m. when there would no longer be liquor purchases he got defensive and angry and lashed out! I then asked him to provide me with his immediate supervisors contact information and he told me to get out of his store or he would contact the police. I have never seen a corporate entity have such an unprofessional manager in charge of their store. I shop at Meijer because it is a local michigan-based company but after this experience I will never walk back into this store again.

Some of the ppl that work there need more training on how to work and on there attitudes with the customers. I have been going there for a long time and it seems like every time I go in there there is more employees that just go slower and slower as cashiers. Some of the employees that has been there for a long time they have a good steady Pace to get two people in and out but a lot of the new employees does not even care about customer service there rude they go really really slow and do not know how to work on Fast Lane its sad because I used to go shopping there all the time now I go elsewhere because of how rude their employees are and some of the managers just dont care even if you talk to them and ask to talk to them they just say yeah okay well take care of it and you know they dont

Typical big box store, great product values, just the employment staff, and employee moral and customer motivation is crap, same at most Kroger stores. Its really poor management, they are allowing the employee, to dictate the presence the customer sees, and I dont want to spend my money there......(i have to get certain things) The big box stores are allowing the employee to set the stage for them......is the cashier with colored hair, face full of metal, and a poor attitude the customer experience you want to hand your hard earned money too? You dont have to hire every moron who walks through the door, if they cant show up with a professional appeared and conduct themselves with a professional attitude maybe they dont DERSIRVE to have a job.....

To start, this Meijer is old and dated. There are a lot of nicer Meijer stores in all honesty. However, this is my default Meijer that I go to all the time. Its overall clean, the setup is easy to navigate, the selection of items and products is vast, and the meat and produce is usually super fresh and worth buying. The employees range from helpful to rude, but I suppose that would be true anywhere that has an equal amount of employees that arent making top dollar. The cafe is probably the worst of all the chains as another reviewer said. I would probably eat there if it was more like the Commerce location. No biggie though, I can get everything else I need from here. I love my Meijer!
