I was happy when this store opened because it seems that everything is pretty fairly priced and the staff are friendly enough. I also love the variety of merchandise not being limited to only gaming consoles, but they also sell computers, speakers, and expensive rare items. The reason I am giving them such a low rating is for several reasons. My first complaint is that there are items that look available for purchase out on the sales floor and once you are ready to make your purchase it is disappointing to be told by an associate that this item is not actually available for sale yet. They tell you that you must come back to purchase it at a later date, for me specifically it was a big ticket item. If an item is still under the holding period I dont know why it isnt kept in the back. They then tell you they will not hold or take your name for the item for when it is ready for sale. So I arrived back thirteen days later, I find out that they did take the name of another gentleman that came in after I did and was interested in the item I was. It is frustrating to be the first person that saw an item, wanted to purchase it, but was unable to. I came in on my only day off, got there before the store even opened because that is what the sales person said was my only option, and the gentleman that came in several days after me, was able to put his name down for it and ended up getting it. Dont get too excited about any item because 1. It may not actually be for sale yet. 2. They may not take your name but then hold it for someone else. 3. the general response from employees about these issues is just an apology and a "better luck next time".

Was really looking forward to coming in and being blown away by the selection of retro and blurays as promised. I was pleasently surprised when in fact the blurays are reasonably priced and the selection of my childhood was immense. Not the biggest selection of next gen games but hey cant sell what you dont have. Unfortunately everything wasnt great, based on how popular something is the prices increase immensely, for example I purchased The Diamond Edition of The Lion King and to my knowledge for $20 I expected a used bluray to be complete, upon getting home I noticed that the dvd version was missing. Nowhere on the case said the edition was incomplete. I understand it is a sought after bluray but $20 for a used incomplete Disney movie is kind of absurd. Ive been in here several times and cant leave without buying something regardless of this hiccup. I will continue to shop here before I go to G$ and let them get my hard earned money. The Surge is a nice touch, now if only I could buy a whole case I would be estactic.

Damn good store! Very lucky to have this in the area. Super duper solid selection. My only gripe would have to be the lack of love for the true collector. This store actually has some really awesome rare stuff, like an Odyessy 2 boxed, Ive seen a boxed Panasonic 3DO before there as well, but some of the employees dont know all of the products. Ive made comments to the employees and received a blank stare. Also I get looks for wanting the cleanest cart of Dk 64. There was 6 carts all in varied condition, but the same price. I find it strange that I was an inconvenience for wanting the best for my money. Im probably being too knit picky but Ive been shopping here for over a year and spent a lot of money here. Also just a tip, if you buy a console here, check it before you take it home. I bought a ps2 that was scratched up by a dog and had a couple cigarette burns on it. Easy exchange though so no problems! Happy this store exists and hopefully it puts New Super Gametime out of business!

Awesome store! I first encountered Disc Replay by going up to the Livonia location and I am glad to see this newer location pop up in Taylor which is a lot closer to home. The store is huge and has plenty of goodies retro and new. They are also really cheap on a lot of their products in comparison to competitors in the area. Anything that I bought from here was at the very least reasonably price. They also offer way more for trade-ins too. They usually have a solid collection of games and manga and their employees are nice and helpful. In less than a week I am moving down to Florida and Disc Replay will be dearly missed as they are the best video game stores I ever been in. Hopefully they expand down to Florida soon!

Well i like the store much better than gamestop when it comes to trading in games, as i can get more cash along with how i can buy old games that i used to play in my childhood. Now there is one by me and i like that. I havent bough much from any store yet, but if i do get the super Nintendo back, it will for sure be from disc replay, along with some mario games like super mario world. I just need to save up my money. The staff are all friendly and I like the fact that you have to give your thumbprint in order to get your cash, its pretty interesting. just wish i knew if they ever have any sales or not, as if there was a special on a system and so many games, i would for sure go in to check it out.

1 register in the store. Very pathetic. No sense of urgency from the staff to help customers. Stood at the counter for 10 min to ask a question about a game. Everyone walked right by us without asking if we needed help. Staff is more interested in helping the people bringing in old games to sell then trying to get the actual paying customers through the checkout line. Did I mention only 1 cash register in the store?? 8 people in front of me in line and going on 40 min wait. Still 3 people ahead of me to go. Im writing this review as Im waiting in the checkout line. Where is the manager? Asst. Manager?? Will never be back. Gamestop has this place beat hands down

I first went in here a few months ago and bought a few video games. To my surprise, when I arrived home and opened one of my cases the video game wasnt even in it! I drove 25 minutes back to the store for them to tell me they couldnt find the video game and they didnt have it. So even after my horrible experience last time, I thought "hey why not give them one more try?" I went back in tonight, and honestly, I will never come back. Not only were they incredibly slow, while I was waiting at the register, there was 2 employees who didnt seem very busy, looked at me and just completely ignored me. I just left without my purchase. What a disappointment.

So last Sunday I visited this location to trade in some items & gotta admit this store is pretty cool. Classic games & newer tech are my thing, Though I waited a good 15 mins before a staff member helped me because they forgot I was waiting the experience ended up better then expected. Im in customer service & pride myself on being kind, optimistic & making an impression on guest though they didnt meet up to my imagined situation they tried & I will give em that. I only suggest that you have all your staff at least recognize customers when they enter.
