The place is fun enough to game in, but there are several quirks: The staff I have run into has run the gamut from extremely helpful and polite to slow and rude. Luckily, it leans on the side of helpful and polite. The selection here is fantastic, and if you want to find something and are willing to shell out the cash for it, youll find it here. The problem? The prices here tend towards the outrageous, especially for preowned books. I found a Vampire The Requiem book (Clanbook: Daeva) that had all the nudity covered with heavily-taped sticky notes (as well as a self-congratulatory note about how they did Gods work (no joke about any of this)). Either do a quick inspection to see if that kind of thing exists, or severely drop the price. There are no realms where somebody should pay near full price for something that heavily damaged. The sales...Well, if you sign up for their newsletter, they would have you believe that they have them. And they do. On maybe 3% of the things in the store, and its VERY obvious that its the stuff that doesnt move out of there. Nor are they ever marked down an amount that makes anything worth getting. The prices on the video games are pretty atrocious as well, considering how old they are. Oh, and theres a weird smell in one of the corners. They should really get that taken care of.

Originally we went bought a little as their stock is pretty good. But their owners alienated me and my family by placing us supposedly on the ban list. Went in with my husband for free RPG day. I normally let my husband buy and I dont need my own points card. But in order to get FREE stuff you have join their crazy points system. When I checked out Iwas told I had to spend 20 dollars for the points to get the two free (marked free) items. I was immediately upset. If its marked free why do I have to spend 20 dollars and isnt that just unethical? Any way because I asked in front of everyone, I got banned as did my family. I was mortified. You ban my husband as well and he spent a lot of money on models...is this a new business model I havent heard of...ban those who ask question or call you out on being unethical. Also many of the games are over MSRP I was like wow that cant be right, No sales over msrp and their still in business? I went to Amazon for my board games not only did i get them in 2 days I got them under the msrp. Now I saw an article about how their website is compromised and they arnt doing anything about it. I see problems ahead an they could have been so much better. To bad

Where to begin? First of all, they annoyingly spam ads for their store on Craigslist. Second, you cant look at the old NES, SNES, or Genesis games directly - you have to flip through a stack of laminated cards that supposedly represent the games in their inventory. I shouldnt even have to explain how tedious and stupid that is. The final straw is their ridiculous, RIDICULOUS prices for retro games. Their fifth and sixth generation games are decently priced, but for anything older - forget about it. I am dead serious when I say that every single retro game is several times more expensive than it should be. Ive seen games that go for a dollar at other stores selling for $13 here. The absolute lowest price youll see is $5, even for the most common and worthless games on the market, such as sports titles. If you pay any more than $1 for Rocket Ranger you are literally throwing your money away. They might be a decent store for card or board games, but if youre a retro video game collector, this is NOT the store for you.

Half the time marked at least 10% above retail at least; when trying to ask about reasons why theyre scamming their customers with broken hardware at high prices, they block you on FaceBook and cancel your usernames email for logging in on the profile page of their website. The only good thing about this place is when the dick owners mother is running the place, she honors returns and if a cartridge and case go together she would probably give it to you instead of labeling the cartridge as a "not for resale" when its a for resale copy. This idiot and his mail ordered bride (I asked & she really is a mail ordered bride, which is illegal to say the least) can not run a business worth of my literal crap. If they wanted to be in debt because of alienating customers, they sure as hell are going to get that. Id like to note I am only doing "poor- fair" because theres no option worst than that. This place is horrible, DO NOT EVER GO THERE!!!!!

Boardgamer here. Wanted to like this place, but wow! I cant imagine ever shopping here again. Decent selection of board games. Greatest hits and some fringe games. But the prices! I picked out a handful of games and 9 out of 10 were priced 20% over retail. I support local business but wow, Ill go to any number of other LFGS near me. When you consider on-line retailers typically sell 20% below retail, there were games that were older, readily available titles, and priced $45-$50 above obtainable copies elsewhere. This leaves you with two options - buying at GOB or buying at OLGS with basically an "every day buy one get one free" coupon. I couldnt do it. Not for that kind of hurt. Would have given 2 stars if I was greeted at the door OR didnt have to wait 5 minutes for the one employee I could find to stop sorting cards to answer a simple question. Ugh, so disappointing.

As a whole their prices seem to be just higher than what you would find online for most games, and right on for others. This is understandable since this store has overhead... duh lol. Anyway when balancing the price difference between the price of items online when you ad shipping there really isnt that much of a difference. Sometimes there store is even BETTER than Amazon. I recently bought an out of print game here that would have been $55 on amazon, I got it for $34.99. All in all they have always been helpful with my gaming needs. I am glad this store is here, I have only been a patron for the last year or so and have had no bad service as other comments from previous years have stated. I recommend em

There is a large game room that is perfect for War or RPG gaming. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable about most of the products. Lots of miniatures, board games and RPG supplements. A good selection of newer comic books, their used comic section is not that big though. They do have a surprisingly good selection of cartridge based games for the older gaming systems! They do not allow outside food and drinks, they have a small selection of snack foods and pop. There is room for them to expand the selection or put in a small cafe to make the game room area more inviting. Which would make this place even better!

There seems to be a lot of hate toward this store and the owner. Ive never found the need to write a review like this, but the personal attacks are both irrelevant to the store and disgusting. I have found everyone there to be very helpful, he answered all of my questions, and even got out from behind the counter to show me a few games I may be interested in given the conversation we were having. Its small and packed full, but things seem to be organized in a way that you would be able to find what you are looking for. In short, my only experiences here have been with very helpful and pleasant people.
