If youre looking to get your bike repaired or purchase a nice, high end bike, I highly suggest giving your business to an establishment that is kind, humble and respectful. Definitely NOT Metro Bike. I called this place to see if they would fix the brake line on my super old Huffy bike from 1995 that Ive had forever because I was going on a trip the next day and didnt want to buy a new bike yet. They asked if it was hydraulic and I told them, no I dont think so, its just a cheap old Huffy. They said to bring it up and they would fix it today. I loaded my van up with the old, junky bike and drove 25 minutes to get to the shop. The guy at the service desk, while on the phone with someone, looks at the bike and says, "No, Im not touching that." When I inquire further he tells me he thought it had brakes like they sold at their store, not a department store and walks away to help someone else. Another service employee began discussing with me an estimated cost to repair the brake line, tires and tubes and told me I should buy a new one. I explained that I dont have time to pick out a new bike, Im leaving tomorrow and just wanted this old one fixed. The first serviceman comes back around and tells me that I should junk it and buy a new one at a department store. I reminded him that I described it on the phone as an old, 1995 HUFFY (aka department store) bike and asked if I could make the decision on where I spend my money (repair or buy new). Not to mention when I buy a new bike, I want to take my time picking one out Ill want for a long time, not rush through the decision or buy another cheap department store bike. He refused to do the work that he told me he would do when on the phone. Ive now wasted one hour of my very limited time today driving here and back and feel the first serviceman was very arrogant and disrespectful of me and my time.

Absolutely wonderful customer service. Im a cyclist by hobby, both endurance and leisure- and the job they have done repairing/tightening the spokes on my rims was breathtaking. While they were slightly upset to get such a job (you really should have seen the rims... nearly every spoke was disconnected or completely loose), they did a much better job than I ever could have in fixing and tightening them. To put it bluntly, Ive been a bike mechanic (for myself) for nearly 15 years, and with the condition the rims were in when I dropped the bike off at the shop.... Id have just spent $200-400 on new rims. But they fixed them right up! However I do have one gripe... My "free tune-up within 90 days" was sort of wasted. I feel like they spent all of their time fixing my rims (and doing a damn good job at it), and either didnt have time (or just forgot) to check out the rear cassette or my gearing. Im happy they fixed the rims and all, but I just feel like got so overwhelmed with them that the rest of the bike was forgotten about.

The best bike shop in metro Detroit. The guys are knowledgeable, helpful going out of their way to help. What they dont have they can order for you. Because of the kind of riding the kid does on his bike we are in there at least once a month. There is another major BMX bike shop in the metro area...but they are down right rude and Metro has actually fixed problems that the other shop created. Highly recommend for all types of bikes and bike issues! Even though it is a little far away I have no issues making the trip because of the service!

Don and his staff are the best! I have been buying bikes of all shapes and sizes from him for over 10 years. If you are in a rush, go to Walmart. If you are interested in service and a knowledgable staff that is willing to spend time with you ensuring your purchase and shopping experience is gratifying, then Metro is your store! When you arrive, relax. One on one service takes time, but absolutely worth every minute! Great job guys, keep it up!

My wife and I shopped the local area for our recent bike purchase and found Metro Bike to be helpful and informative. Specifically, the owner Don was willing to spend the time to explain the nuances of each type of bike and help us decide which bikes would be the best fit for us. After visiting multiple locations and cross-shopping the Rochester-Macomb area, we went with GIANT at Metro Bike and couldnt be happier!

In response to Akhil B, unfortunately 2 employees had to leave and left Don alone for the evening. 1 employees daughter was involved in a car accident and the 2nd employee that was scheduled also had a family emergency and was not able to work the evening.. Not impressed at all. Had these guys do a tune up on my mountain bike. Drive train makes a ton of noise and the brakes probably werent adjusted. They stole that $75. I asked for some other things for my bike but they didnt seem interested selling me anything. They did do a good job installing my childs seat. I wont return for any more business.

Called and described what I was looking for and the owner was so helpful that I went in the next day. They had exactly what I wanted as a gift for my boyfriend. Actually hard to decide because their was multiple bikes ,colors, tires to choose from. I was grateful for the help in selecting. The bike was a big hit! Perfect! Thank you so much

Stopped in to Metro Bikes today after a horrible experience at another local bike store. These guys were very helpful!! They took their time to help me with what I needed. Even offered to install my bike rack for free since I had such a bad experience earlier in the day else where. This is my new bike store from here on out.

Very helpful initially when I went to see bikes. But when I finally made up my mind to get the bike. Don, took 2 customers before us, he even took a call not caring about us waiting for him. Eventually we had to leave after waiting for 25 mins. Wouldnt recommend if you want good customer service and personal help.

Super bad they cant even fix a axel and now they say theres something wrong with my hub I know theres nothing wrong with my hub they just want more money from me and there so expensive as is 45$ to fix a cracked axele u just pull it out just fix the bike u wanted to bring in urself itll cost way less

Excellent customer service. I broke my bike the next day and they took care of it within a resonable time. If youre looking to get a bike i definitely recommend getting yours from metro bike. Theyll help you pick out the perfect bike that fits you perfect.
