I went to Direct Cars after finding them online. I wanted to purchase a clean used car for my son. They are an hour away from our house. So, I wanted to make sure it was worth our while to travel so far. The place is difficult to locate as ALL of their cars are parked inside a garage. The vehicles are detailed and look nice. They are a bit pricey but we were able to negotiate about $1000 off the price and $500 for our trade. All was well and then we found out that the bank had preapproval would only work with A lots. So, they suggested I get approved with a bank THEY use. I agreed, got approved and then signed all of the documents so that while I was at work, my son could pick up his car. When he did, he called and stated that they gave him the car with not enough gas to get home (they knew from th trips out there we lived an hour away). I asked that he ask the owner, Guido, if it was a customer service courtesy to sell the vehicles with a full tank. He said "we dont do that here." I asked why and he immediately became irritated stating he had "done us a favor" by lowering the price by $1,000. I asked how that wasnt doing HIM a favor to sell the vehicle and getting financed, again, through his bank wasnt doing him a favor either. He went on to tell me that we had beaten him up on the price and now were trying to get gas out of him. I had had it with the condescending remarks and demanded that he return my sons title, keys and checks. Guido immediately yelled, "We arent going to do that!" I told him that I would leave work and be down there when he relinquished and said he would just give my son gas money. He gave the phone back to my son and it was done. My son was scared and left with the new cars and without the checks to call me and tell me it was over. I checked our bank transactions and noticed that 10 minutes after my son left the dealership, the owner had CASHED....not deposited...CASHED THE CHECKS. After that ridiculous transaction, I would NEVER recommend this dealership to ANYONE.

07/07/2016: I recently purchased a used truck from Direct Cars. Guido, the owner was fantastic to work with and made the buying experience a true pleasure. He had the vehicle inspected and all preventative maintenance performed from a local certified shop. I have great confidence in this vehicle, and recommended Guido & Direct Cars to my family and friends. UPDATE - 04/25/2017 Ive owned my 2006 Avalanche for less than 1 year and 10,000 miles. I purchased this truck used from Guido and Direct Cars at 115,000 miles, it has 124,000 miles now. Guido assured me his mechanics at Nashs Auto (Shelby Township) went through a thorough inspection of the vehicle - even after they replaced a noise I heard after buying. A separate trip I made back to Nashs for the repair. In less than 12 months, Ive put over $3,000 in maintenance during this time. This list is not all but Includes replacing the ABS sensor, Rear Brakes, Front Wheel Hub Bearings, (4) Tires, Leaking Axle Seals, Heating core (which went out in January), Front Tie rods - and today my car is at a local shop again for having the front brake lines snap on the highway while I was out on vacation last weekend with my family - which will cost another $800+ in repairs. Not to mention needing to get my vehicle towed back home during vacation. I am updating my review because I feel I was sold a used vehicle that was not properly inspected or bought for very cheap at auction with problems that were not clearly addressed at Nashs Auto or by Guidos team. I realize the risk in purchasing a used vehicle, but for having paid $14,000 for this truck, I would assume my list of problems & maintenance cost would not be this high in less than 1 year of ownership...I would recommend not buying a used vehicle from Guido or Direct Cars.

Direct Cars has a nice indoor showroom of clean title vehicles. Since my family has a short credit history, we were better off (in terms of interest rate) going with financing through our bank. Direct Cars offers warranties through GWC, a company which seems to have lousy reviews online, so we passed, despite reassurance that Guidos mechanic has found GWC good to work with. Im betting on my self-reliance. After we purchased the vehicle, a few unforeseen, intermittent problems emerged (engine overheating, AC blowing hot, power steering failure). Guido had us take it to Nash for repairs and footed the bill. A few weeks later I noticed that one of the rear shocks was not working; he paid for one of the two rear replacement shocks. I was somewhat confused as to his willingness to do it, but he said he likes me and wants to do business again. Were happy with his prompt communication. Overall a satisfying experience, though this is our first vehicle purchase so theres a bit of uncertainty in our judgment. After a few months of ownership I am enjoying the car; but I will be spending some time and money taking care of cosmetic details; no serious mechanical problems yet. Ill be more savvy for my next used car purchase.

I bought a 17 year old 3 series BMW from Guido at Direct Cars three months ago and havent ever been happier with a car purchase in my life. I found a diamond in the rough and from what I could tell all the other cars there were rare condition finds as well. Here I was looking for a 15 year old car in good condition with absolutely no rust and one owner, sounds crazy, but I found it with the help of Direct Cars. Guido knows how to look for the most well taken care of used vehicles and by the condition of the vehicle since I purchased it I havent had a single real problem. Guido is very personable and thoroughly made sure I would walk out of there with financing, which isnt an easier task for a car that old. Im not the easiest person to work with and despite my slightly insulting negotions we were able to determine a price very fair for the both of us and again I couldnt be happier with my purchase. Thanks a lot and hopefully youve got an M3 in the future when Im shopping for one!

After searching for a Cadillac Escalade for three months, I discover direct Cars had just listed one on line. This car was absolutly beautiful, clean and price in my budget. The following day i call and spoke with Todd to inquire about this vehicle. Todd was friendly and helpful to my questions. I submitted a credit application to get the process going and was approved, A few days later went to test drive and to look over the vehicle. Their vehicles are kept inside , which is great. This vehicle was better than pictured this vehicle drove like a dream and was very maintained. I put a deposit on vehicle and the following week I purchased it. Everyone at Direct Cars were friendly and extremely helpful from start to finish. I would recommend Direct cars and would purchase from them again. Loving my Cadillac Escalade ..... Thanks Guys
