I went to Bella Rose because I didnt want the Davids Bridal/Wal-mart experience when buying my wedding gown. I wanted good customer service and for them to be attentive when Im making one of the most important purchases in my life up to this point. Im not a drama queen and I dont expect them to kiss my feet when I walk in but what I do expect is that during my appointment the focus is on me this one time. I hate attention but this is the one time I want this type of experience. The first time i went to Bella Rose the sales girl that helped me wasnt exactly experienced but was very nice and I ended up buying the dress Ive been looking for. That first appointment experience was as good as I could expect. They even offered champagne when I said yes to the dress which was cute. The next day I came in to make the first half of my payment and dealt with a lady who said she was the owner. (I dont remember the name unfortunately) She was printing my receipt and while we were chatting she kept dropping the F word amongst other profanity and just seemed extremely unprofessional because of that. She was nice, just unprofessional. 2 months later my dress came in so I scheduled an appointment for my first fitting. The appointment was at 5pm but my mom and I had to wait until almost 5:45 before they even put me in a fitting room. It was only the seamstress and another girl working and they already had two brides there so I understood they were busy so I wasnt upset but they definitely should schedule their appointments better. So they put me in the fitting room with my dress which i had to put on myself fyi, and I come out to the main room infront of a mirror and stand there looking at myself for another 20 mins before the seamstress got to me. She was really nice and started pinning me and chatted with my mom but then just got up and walked away. So i stood there for a few mins thinking she had to get something because she didnt say anything but then i see her working on another bride. Im like ok? so i tried to be patient and wait and wait and wait for about 15 mins and finally i ask the 2nd girl that was there "when is she going to come back to me"? and the girl says that if i was done i couldve just gotten out of my dress and paid for the alterations. But the thing is i wasnt done, the seamstress just got up and walked away from me without asking me what i thought or even a single word so how am i suppose to know what shes doing? So i tell her i wasnt done and maybe if she wouldve asked how i felt that she would know that. So the seamstress comes back to me in a few mins and finishes that last thing i wanted. They ring me up ($315 for alterations btw!) I was so frustrated with them that I almost just took my dress to another place for alterations. So long story short.... If you dont mind an owner who uses profanity during business transactions this is your place. If you dont mind waiting for 45 mins, then 20 mins and another 15 mins during the appointment you scheduled 2 weeks in advance...this is your place. And if you dont mind paying another $315 for alterations because the dress they ordered for you is HUGE...then this is the place for you. Ive never been larger then a size 3 in my life and they insisted on ordering me a size 8 dress. So needless to say the alterations consisted of taking in about 3 inches on each side of my body. 6 inches too big!! Dont go with their sizing if you think its too big, i shouldve went with my gut but i figured they do this every day so they would know better. Guess not. I still havent seen my dress after the first fitting so hope it turned out ok! Oh and the 2nd fitting appointment i made was canceled by the seamstress an hour and half before i was suppose to be there. Excellent customer service.

Very good experience! After going to many other dress stores, I decided to stop in without an appointment just to see what they had, and they were able to get me in. (Not all places will let you without an appointment, even if they arent busy) I worked with Patty who was excellent! I had a very specific budget I was sticking to, and my wedding is 4 months away. That put me into the sample range of dresses, but there were plenty to choose from, and they were not judgmental whatsoever. They have a huge range, from a few hundred up to thousands. I came back a few days later with an appointment (and changed my appt. time the day of) to make a final decision. When I got there, they had my dresses pulled and ready to go. I was luckily enough to work with Patty again, and bought a dress. My family/wedding party couldnt be there, but they still went through their tradition to make it special. They even worked with me on the price a little bit more, which I am very thankful for. There were no high pressure sales, they accommodated my time and my budget, and were never rude to me. A few small things I didnt like were, one, I dont like going through the rack and tagging dresses that I like. I have a terrible eye for that kind of thing, and I HATE rifling through racks. I prefer when they are pulled for you, and I feel the staff is probably gentler on the dresses than the general public just yanking on them. Once we had a few picked out, they go by that to pull more for you, or at least Patty did, so that made up for it. The second thing is, I see the dresses dragging a lot when going back and forth, and the dresses arent in bags, so a lot of the samples get worn at the bottom or snagged on each other and can get into pretty rough shape, however, everything can be fixed for the right price. And third, the ambiance in there is really nice, but the lighting is kind of dim, so I was struggling sometimes to get the true color of the dresses. Overall though, it was excellent! I would definitely recommend them for buying a dress, I cant speak to having to go through the ordering or alteration process because I bypassed all of that. I was told they have a new seamstress so some of those older reviews may not be accurate anymore. Go see Patty. She was by far the nicest, most understanding saleswoman out of all the stores I went to, which was a lot.

AVOID THIS SALON!!!! I do not advise going to Bella Rose. Everything was fine and dandy when we ordered the dresses. Then they took about 5 months to arrive. I have NEVER waited this long for a dress to come in. Once they arrive, you have 7 days to pick them up, EVEN if you are getting your alterations done through them. This should have been the first sign to me that this was going to wrong. You also need an "appointment" for pretty much everything, including picking up a dress! Unacceptable! Now onto the alterations aspect of the dress. If decide you have to go to this salon because they carry your designer, DO NOT GET IT ALTERED HERE. Find someone else. I was a bridesmaid and my dress needed to be taken in and the bust altered. Went for my first fitting, everything was fine and dandy. 2 weeks later and a second fitting, the seamstress only took the dress in, she didnt touch the bust. I have six other weddings under my belt (all with alterations) and they always had everything done for the 2nd appointment. So red flag here. Another 2 weeks later (and 3 days before the wedding), I pick up my dress. It looks fine in the dark store. Shame on me for not trying it on there! I get home and try it on and lo-and-behold, the seamstress (if you can even call her that) used BLUE thread on a magenta dress. BLUE?!?!?! And it was on the front and center of dress. WHO USES BLUE THREAD FOR BUST ALTERATIONS?!? I call immediately and she offers to fix it but who in the their right mind would let this seamstress touch their dress again when shes pretty much declared shes incompetent. I dont sew and even I know that you match the thread color! She tried to tell me that it was magenta and it was just "doubled up". Not so much lady. When I talked to one of the owners, I was encouraged to let her fix it. FYI - Those were just MY issues. 4 people in the wedding party - 4 Issues with dresses. One was ordered too small. One had stains on her dress after alteration. The bride also had issues with the seamstress. I have pictures of ALL of this. At first the staff was friendly, but by the end they were rude and took no responsibility on anything. Im still waiting for a call from the owner. I wont hold my breath. Choose a different salon. These people do not care about their customers.
