My fiancé and I went here when searching for a car to purchase. We already had our loan approved by our financial institution and made it clear that we were not ending the day without a car. We told them about a car we had seen the previous night (Sunday) that was there and they pulled it around and let us take it for a test drive. When we came back one salesman was talking to the one we were working with about how he already sold the car we just drove. The man had said that his customers were coming back in 10 minutes to buy the car and that is why it was moved into the back of the lot. Our sales man continues to try and sell it to us even though they already had a deposit on it. We told him that that was not okay and should not be happening and he said if we had our paperwork done first it would be fine. I told him that we were not interested in a deal like that and we went to go test drive the new Civic instead. We really enjoyed the car and my fiancé was interested in buying it and beginning to talk numbers. We came back in and told the salesman we really enjoyed the drive and he took the keys back. We then waiting for 35 minutes and he sat at his desk and did not help us at all - mind you he knows we had a check and were willing to buy that day. More so, during that 35 minutes not one person helped us in the entire car dealership. During the time that we were left alone, I did a search for other Hondas in line with the car we were initially interested in, and found one in Jackson at Art Moehn Honda. I negotiated a price with them in two phone calls and we told the salesman that he ignored us so we are going to purchase our car from another Honda dealer. In the end, if you want a better deal on your car and to be treated better, the drive to Art Moehn Honda in Jackson is worth it. They know how to treat you professionally and will not ignore you when you want to buy a car that day.

This dealership sold me an UNSAFE vehicle that failed their own 147-point inspection for me to transport our young family with, and refused to repair what was needed when brought to their attention. Please read on. In September 2014, I purchased a used Toyota 4Runner from Capital Honda that had recently been traded in locally. After negotiating on a fair price, I agreed to purchase the vehicle and picked it up two days later. Upon purchasing the vehicle, I was given a stack of papers including a 147-point inspection performed by Capital Honda. In my haste, I did not review the document as I had already agreed to purchase the vehicle, and had no reason to suspect that a Honda dealer would sell me a vehicle with a failed inspection. 11 months and 13,000 miles later, the vehicle was being serviced for routine maintenance at Spartan Toyota when I was informed that all 4 brakes needed replacing. Confused as I had purchased the vehicle from our local Honda dealer following a thorough inspection, I went back to review the actual 147-point inspection form only to find that the vehicle had indeed FAILED the brake inspection. I called the dealer and explained the situation to my sales agent asking them to make it right and cover the cost for replacing the brake pads. I was told NO. My wife and I have literally spent several thousand dollars in maintenance for our 2001 Honda Civic at this dealer over the past 8 years. When I brought this to the dealers attention, they still refused to remedy this problem. We live in the neighborhood across from this dealership in Okemos, and I now will travel to Brighton for all further service on our Civic. Any dealer that sells me an UNSAFE vehicle to transport my wife and our two young children in and then refuses to fix the problem deserves to have the public made aware.

Ive had multiple great experiences with Capital Honda. I first went there with my Honda Element after a discount tire store told me that, because one of my tires got a flat and needed to be replaced, I would have to replace all four since its an AWD car. I had been told the same thing just one year prior and had replaced all four tires. The second time in a year, I pushed back--what, so if I were to get another flat a month later (darn Michigan roads!) I would need to replace all four again? Where does it end? The discount tire place basically said yeah, thats the deal with AWD cars. I called Capital Honda to see if they carried the right tire and they had me bring it in. They explained that a) since my tires were just a year old I there wouldnt be enough dissimilarity between the existing three and the new one to cause problems and b) Honda Elements arent true AWD cars because that function only switches on when the tires skid, so it wouldnt have been a huge issue to just replace two of them, anyway. They could have pushed me to buy all 4 (or at least 2!) and made lots of money, but they were honest and didnt push any work that wasnt necessary. I also realized then how much of a difference it makes to go to people who actually know about your specific car! Ive kept going to them for the last year and theyve always done great work. Theyre a little more expensive than your average shop, but I find that to be totally made up for with their honesty and great service. The mechanics have always respected my budget, not tried to push me over, and helped me prioritize what work could wait. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to a friend.

READ THIS before you do your maintenance at Capital Honda. I had a 2004 Honda Accord, which was regularly maintained at Capital Honda. I have a whole stack of receipts from them. On April 1, 2016, I replaced right front upper control arm, including right front upper ball joint. On Saturday, 5/14, the right front wheel fell off due to the failure of right front lower ball joint. The roadside assistance said so and Capital Honda said so. I could have been dead if the wheel falls off while driving on a highway. Okay, I accept the fact that the lower ball joint is not replaced by Capital Honda, but CAPITAL HONDA DID NOT FIND OUT THE FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT IS FAILING DURING ALL THOSE REGULAR MAINTENANCES, INCLUDING THE ONE THEY REPLACE THE RIGHT FRONT UPPER BALL JOINT! Capital Honda offered me 50% off for replacing the right front lower ball joint, which is like $800 total and I saved $400. How nice! The passenger side door wont open and I have to spend another thousand (or more) to fix it. I was leaving the area on next Wednesday and I was in the middle of moving. I had only two days to deal with this car and the car is immobile. I had no choice but selling the car to Capital Honda with a ridiculous low price. I lose more than $3000 for this failure, but luckily I kept my life. The car itself is pretty awesome and Jake Russell is a very nice guy, but beware of the quality of their maintenance.
