I dont usually give out 5 star reviews. What it means for me is that a place is exceptional, actually noteworthy. I am an antiques/vintage dealer who doesnt live in the area anymore, so I am comfortable revealing that NuWay thrift was one of the best guarded secrets in the West Michigan thrift scene. This place is dirty, its downright gross, actually. But thats what you want for good finds that arent overpriced. When margins matter, this place truly shines. Ive found amazing things here: gold, silver, midcentury, designer brands, art deco and more. If what you want is a clean thrift store where youll feel extremely comfortable, dont go here. If youre like me and are looking for something amazing, like a set of 22k gold designer midcentury glasses, this is where you want to go. The staff are nice. Too many people are afraid to go get them out of the back to get into that front case. I bought more out of those front cases in 2 years than the rest of the thrift shops in Kalamazoo maybe save the Milham goodwill.

So its lacking in ambience and the prices are pretty high, but I always find good stuff. Theyre not terribly fussy about what goes out on the sales floor, and that means there are interesting finds. Some thrift stores are too picky and only have boring newer stuff which doesnt do anything for me (if I want that, Ill just go to a store that sells new stuff), but this store is not like that, so that makes it fun.

I shop here often and have gotten some good deals on clothes. All clothes are 99 cents and I have found items nice enough to bring to a second hand clothing store and sell them for 6 times the price! I work in the human service field helping people find jobs and often bring my clients in to find nice clothes for work. I have never noticed a urine smell and at 99 cents, the merchandise is hardly overpriced.

Its hard to find items. Sizes if clothes are mixed up. They have alot of clothes but they are all crammed together, for plus size anyways. And they dont have many plus size clothes. They never have clothes that fit me and some things are way over priced. I used to love the store cuz it was easy to find stuff but its gotten harder over the years

do you want to get your hands dirty, do you want to make the find of the week, well you need to get here. sure there is plenty that you may not be in the need for, but there are so many other items that you will be surprised that they even have. come on down and discover what treasures you can have for yourself, or someone you love.

This a middle ground review from me. The place is crowded, some stuff isnt priced, its a little smelly...HOWEVER, they have furniture and the prices are pretty good. Actually they have almost everything under the sun, its just so dreary and crowded its hard to walk through it.

I always get some of the best finds (at least for mens clothes) of any thrift store in town. Their prices are often lower or equal compared to goodwill with more of a selection geared towards my tastes. I highly recommend this place

Huge second hand store. Some things are a little over priced but I always find at least one treasure there. They have a good inventory of furniture, artwork, clothing, knick knacks, etc. They dont have AC so dress accordingly.

Over priced junk. We were looking for a coffee table and end tables . The stuff they had here looked like they got from curb pickup. The furniture was the same, dirty, old, worn out crap I will never go back.

Way to expsensive ,stinky, wrinkled stuff for 4.98 most of everything way over priced.the only thing i can say any thing good is they went down on some furniture.but we bought alot of furniture that day

I enjoy the thrill of the hunt, but I have to draw the line at this store. It is dirty, stinky and the way they put the prices on things is very difficult to remove. I dont plan to return.
