I should have gone to Craft-Revival first. They made my custom wedding band experience, fast, easy and simply perfect. Our ring came back finished within in a couple weeks after submitting the design. My Fiancé is a very very picky person and when the ring came in we did not have to send it back to be re-worked; it was exactly the way he imagined it to be. Brandon and Jason’s wealth of knowledge when it comes to jewelry is what made that possible and it far surpasses that of any other jeweler in the city. They were able to tell within the first ten minutes of examining the design whether it could be done or not. If you want something done right, fast, and affordable you go here. We first took the design to Jared, The Galleria of Disappointment, who claimed they could do custom design work, we were sadly mistaken. After THREE months of going over the design, getting the wax, re-working the wax, re-working the finished product, re-working the finished product 4 more times, we finally returned it and had to start all over. Brandon only took two weeks tops for this portion. Jared’s sales team promised they could make the piece and they did not have the custom jewelry knowledge needed to make those promises because they are not experienced jewelers, they are a sales team trying to make a quota. The piece was made entirely wrong since its inception and if we had been in contact with an actual jeweler they could have informed us about that before we wasted months. Jared made us pay for the ring upfront promising they could make what we wanted (Craft-Revival did not make us pay upfront), they also would not let us return the custom piece initially (lovely customer service...I think not), even though we never took it home, and absolutely despised the finished product each time we saw it. If you want something custom talk to the experts (Brandon/Jason) and not the sales people who are trying to meet their monthly quotas. I think one thing people tend not think about when they are purchasing jewelry, especially for a wedding, is that they will be visiting that jeweler through out the duration of their marriage/relationship for cleaning, touch-ups, etc so the relationship with the jeweler is important. The great thing about Craft-Revival is they really make their customers feel like family and not EBIT. We learned our lesson the hard way, hopefully this review keeps other customers from making the same mistake.

I am Awesome

Jayson and the team at Craft Revival did an amazing job recreating an heirloom ring. We originally took the ring in to have some repair work done to the filigree but after looking at it under magnification he showed where previous repairs had been made years ago and where there were stress cracks in the metal and that it was likely to continue to happen with regular wear. They were able to make a wax casting and melt down the gold from the original ring to make the new one and reset the same diamond... It turned out AWESOME!! The filigree, the mill grain, the attention to detail... It turned out even better than the original! They really brought new life to an old piece. Not sure which shined brighter the new ring or my fiancé when she saw it :) They also made a wedding band for us that followed the contour of the heirloom ring, used diamonds of the same color and clarity, and incorperated some engraving and mill grain detail to really tie the two pieces together and make them look like a perfectly matched set. Craft Revival did an outstanding job and I look forward to working with them again. Thanks again, T.J.

Oh man, Craft-Revival is the best, truly. I first dropped by with my girlfriend-now-fiance ten minutes before closing, and Jayson, the son of the father-son dynamic duo, stayed after hours to talk with us and help us design. To say the least, I was rather impressed. Not only was he willing to put in the time and effort to help us design our perfect ring, but he stayed in budget, and meticulously detailed and crafted every element, letting us know the limitations of what was going to be possible, and also ensuring that the fit and style was precisely what we wanted. When he called after it was finished, which was exceptionally quick, I was flabbergasted. It was stunning, and everything that I could have asked for. And, the box it came in had ITS OWN LIGHT built in. I think Jayson deserves partial credit for my girlfriend-now-fiance agreeing to marry me. Thanks for all of the hard work Craft-Revival! Having not known much about rings/diamonds etc, Craft went above and beyond to help me understand and feel comfortable with every step of the process -- conception, design, creation etc...I went in with some design ideas and suggestions and they took those, along with some ideas in my head, and came back with an amazing design. In three weeks they took that design and created the perfect engagement ring for my now fiance -- totally custom, and one of a kind, we are both so happy with it and excited to enjoy the amazing/unique creation Craft put together for many years to come. As we live right across the street, and even though I warned them against it, they told my fiance she could come in anytime to get it polished up. I pray she does not bother them too much :) ...if you are looking for a great creation and a great hassle free friendly experience then go to Craft. Two loyal customers here! Thanks again guys. My boyfriend of eight months took me out for a nice dinner downtown Grand Rapids and afterwards he surprised me by taking me to a jewelry store called Craft Revival to look at engagement rings! The gentleman, Jayson, that helped us was so excited that he could give us everything we were looking for and more in a ring that will be in our family for years to come. The possibilities were endless because you can design anything you want and are involved in the process from the sketch to the wax to the final product. The custom aspect made the process of designing an engagement ring so special. When you get a ring from Craft Revival, it truly is one of a kind. We will be back to get a wedding band for my ring and a wedding band for my Fiancé! I could not have asked for a better experience in such a life changing moment! I visited 4 custom jewelry stores before finding Brandon and Jason at Craft Revival on Ionia. I was looking for a custom pendant necklace using diamonds from my mother. I was so pleased and happy with how helpful they both were in making sure I received exactly what I wanted. From being able to text quickly changes or afterthoughts to designing several wax molds for compare and contrast...the entire experience was phenomenal. The finished product is amazing, combining diamonds given to my mama from my two dads into a pendant necklace with my husbands and childrens birthdates and initials...merging where I came from and where I am now. I returned a second time for assistance with my engagement ring and wedding ring and AGAIN was blown away at the finished product. HIGHLY recommend this family jeweler!!

I cannot gush enough about how much I enjoyed shopping here. We wanted very simple wedding bands, but everywhere we went, we were steered towards complex designs with lots of diamonds, even after specifically asking to see designs with no stones! The other stores we went to couldnt even tell me what finishes or metals were available for the limited choice we had in simple bands. When we got to Craft-Revival, we explained what we wanted and were immediately showed a large sample box with simple bands of all designs, and dozens of finishes and options. It was perfect! I never felt pressured into an engagement ring combo like I as at the other jewelers. They didnt even look at me funny when I told them NO DIAMONDS like they did elsewhere. Great experience. Cannot recommend them enough!
