Truly a great place to purchase something special for your someone special, or for yourself. I have purchased several items for Plata y Oro. Everytime they have gone above and beyond in helping me out. Their sales staff are very kind and helpful, and give you a great customer experience. They a wide and beautiful selection, and many unique pieces. Last time I was there I came in five minutes before closing. They stayed open and even rebooted their computer to look up prices and ring me up. Also the location is perfect. Its close small shops and cool stores in the heart of downtown. Perfect place to window shop on an afternoon. Once again I love this place, check it out and you will too!

When I went to have my rings cleaned the owner asked my husband if he also wanted to get his cleaned. While he was cleaning it he added a "sandpaper finish" without asking us first. Basically he scratched the entire ring up. My husband was horrified. We asked him to remove it, which he tried to do, but it wasnt the same afterward. When I said that he should ask a customer first, he didnt apologize or acknowledge that he had done something wrong. He said he just "assumed" that that was how the ring was originally. Needless to say I will NEVER go back there. I would be very careful about getting work done on your jewelry at this store, even though there stock is quite pretty.

I wandered into this place off chance, after being disappointed in other places Id looked for a cool engagement ring. I was greeted by a friendly employee, and told her that I was looking for "an engagement ring, but something different and non-traditional". She was excited to help me on my quest. I followed her around the store and she showed me nearly 100 rings, most of which were pretty great and within my modest budget. One stood out immediately. Its hand made out of recycled gold and lemon quartz, from an eco-friendly designer in NYC. So cool. I recommend this place based on their customer service and selection. (She said yes.)

My husbands parents had been long-time customers of Plata y Oro. He knew he wanted to custom-make my engagement ring, and they worked wonderfully with him every step of the way! When it came to buy wedding bands, they custom fitted the band I wanted and ordered the specific rings he was interested in. We were traveling from out of town, and they always tried to work us in if/when wed be in town! I think they are on the pricier side, but you absolutely are paying for the amazing quality that you receive. Would definitely recommend!

Everything about this store is amazing! From the location, to the unique selection at great prices, I would never go to another jewelry store at the mall again! They have jewelry for any occasion and you wont spend a fortune. The staff is also very friendly. They dont treat you like they are trying to make a sale so they can get commission, I hate that! They love what they do and it shows! I will definitely be back soon!

Very helpful in working with us to design our wedding rings. We had specific ideas and a concept in mind; Gerald helped us figure it out and make it a reality. He was easy to work with and the craftsmanship was outstanding. I have since bought many unique pieces there and always enjoy the wonderful service.
