My only regret with Herkner Jewelers was that I didnt go there for the engagement ring. When I decided it was time to tie the knot I used a different Jeweler based off a friends recommendation. When it came time for my fiancé and I to look at a wedding band and find a ring I liked for myself, we stopped in to Heckler because it was right near our home. The place has so much character when you walk in the door. Far beyond anything I expected when pulling into a strip mall. Randy was amazing to work with. He explained the history of the shop, how long they have been in business and I love how they incorporated the old shop with the new. I was very impressed by his professionalism and knowledge. He made the process painless and fun. One thing that got to me about the first jeweler is that I met with a gentlemen there 3 times to design my wifes ring and he still didnt remember my name and it just didnt feel very personable. Randy was very inviting and remembered my name the second I walked in the door each time. This is exactly what I expected from a top notch jeweler. I have no need to shop anywhere else in the future. AMAZING!

If you are in the market for an engagement ring check out Herkner! Dont get sucked into other stores who mark up to mark down, get a good price the first time! And not to mention quality... when making a decision to buy a ring I wanted style but I also wanted a ring I will wear for the rest of my life. Jessica helped teach me the difference by showing me a good quality ring that will stand the test of time, unlike other stores where the prices might have been appealing but the quality was poor. She taught me all about diamonds and how not all grading was equal! Just because some stores have certificates doesnt mean they are as good as GIA! Thank you Jessica for going above and beyond and helping us create a one of a kind engagement ring and experience!

We had a terrible experience here! My girlfriend and I went here as I heard from my older aunt that this was a good place to go. Their selection was not very unique, and the sales lady that helped us didnt seem to have a clue about diamonds! We just did not enjoy our experience here at all. They also didnt seem to care, didnt know what they were talking about and didnt have nice rings! What more can I say, find another jeweler.

Was recommended and was very impressed. I brought a family piece that another jeweler insisted it was in bad shape and I should have remade into a custom piece. Herkners told me the piece was beautiful, cleaned and polished it up for me, and told me to wear it for years until the prongs needed to be redone. No cost. That was quite a while ago and now that the prongs need to be redone, I will be bringing it there.

My fiance purchased my engagement ring here and it was an amazing experience. We already had a stone and they created a custom setting based on several elements my fiance and I had chosen. They even put a rush on it an managed to get it finished in time for him to propose on our anniversary. It was a wonderful experience and we plan to purchase our wedding bands here as well!

Excellent repair! The prongs on my engagement ring were loose and a diamond fell out of my wedding band. No way would I trust anyone in Chicago to fix my ring. Brought it home to GR and Roger not only fixed it but buffed out the scratches!!
