GO IN FOR A DRESS, LEAVE WITH A FRIEND. ASK FOR LYDIA!!! My bridesmaids and I, after having days of terrible treatment by shop owners who look down on a bride with a budget, stumbled into Alfred Angelo by sheer dumb luck. I had never heard of them before and I thought, "why not? weve been everywhere else!". When we walked into the store we saw elegant designer dresses on display right by the doors. I stopped, looked at the girls and said "I probably cant even afford to look around in here!" The girls at the counter were friendly and greeted us as we walked in. I was upfront about my budget not wanting to waste anyones time. The girls laughed. I was confused as to what they were laughing at naturally. They said "Honey, you can afford 3/4 of our store!" Hallelujah! I found the holy grail of all bridal apparel. Their designer dresses are completely customize-able unlike many many other stores, they make petite sizes without additional charge and have a vast selection of bridesmaids dresses. Where we had spent days searching for the perfect dress at other places, I not only found my dress within the hour but found the perfect bridesmaids dresses as well! As for the customer service...SPECTACULAR! I worked with the super talented young lady named Lydia...remember that name! She knew to ask me just the right questions and made suggestions based on those questions. What I thought I wanted was not what I truly wanted. She pulled about 4 dresses based on my answers and bam! It was there. It didnt look like much on the rack but she suggested it based on my body type and it was a slam dunk. We giggled and bounced around together...Im not ashamed to admit it :) The day of our wedding we had a bridesmaid dress emergency! The thing every woman dreads hearing on her special day. The seamstress we took her dress to (nimble needles) clearly did not understand the concept of straps which seems like a fairly simple concept to me. They were so gaudy and not at all what we wanted. I called Lydia (she has a background sewing) knowing it was a long shot that shed be in that day. She was! She let us come in early to fix the mistake the best she could and saved us in a time of crisis! I am forever indebted to her and her willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you Alfred Angelo for hiring someone that understands that your product isnt dresses, its people!

I cannot say this strongly enough--do NOT go to Alfred Angelo! The personnel there, especially those in sales, will be absolutely wonderful, creative, and accommodating when you, the Bride, are initially shopping for your gown; you will be led to believe that this fabulous customer service is the norm. You will love them so much you will bring in your bridemaids, etc., and have them purchase their gowns there, as well. You will notice that the service will start slack a bit when you come in for your first dress fitting. Youve already paid, so the personnels interest in you has begun to wane. Someone may, or may not, be available/willing to assist you into your gown so that you can try it on, but you get the distinct impression that they would rather you would just take your purchase and go (which is honestly what I wish we had done!) That being said, if you insist on trying on your gown there and find that the fit isnt quite right, Alfred Angelo does have a "seamstress" on their payroll and they "highly recommend" that you use her "because she is so familiar with our gowns." Of course, Alfred Angelo is a side job for her so youd better plan to arrange your schedule around hers. She will NOT listen to your preferences; she is very dismissive and would clearly rather be anywhere else while shes doing her haphazard pinning. Shes very, very expensive, too, and her work is of far less quality than Ive seen at several other alterations locations in the area; youd be better off going to Ha or Nguyen (to name a few weve used successfully in the past,) where the quality is higher and the price is lower. Alfred Angelo, as Ive already stated, cares A LOT about making your sale, but thats where the caring ends. They will blame previous employees for their oversights instead of taking responsibility. You will notice that they are big on excuses, but on solutions? Not so much. Yes, the gowns there are beautiful, but you can find beautiful gowns at myriad other locations. A Bride should not only be treated like a princess from the day of the sale through the day of the wedding, but also as a valuable customer whose experiences will either encourage future sales (through positive word of mouth) or drive future customers toward the nearest competitor. Please learn from our negative experience with Alfred Angelo and take your dollars to a business who appreciates you!

*** READ Before you GO!!** This has to be the WORST experience I have ever had in my life. I started my wedding dress shopping in July 2015, I thought I had found the PERFECT dress at Alfred Angelo I purchased it spending $1500. My dress came in early (which is fine) but I had just had back surgery 1 week prior. I had staples, stitches, and a drain tube needless to say I was not in any condition to try on nor pick up a wedding dress they told me would be in in January (it came in in September) The people at the store called me 2 and 3 times a day telling me I had to pick up my dress or it would be shipped back and I would lose all of the money I spent. I spoke to the manager and the assisitant manager numerous times to let them know what was going on, they seemed to be ok with it until I get a package from FED EX 2 times telling me if I did not pick up my dress it was going back. After all of that and I was able to pick it up I went in to get my dress... it was HORRID the dress that I just paid $1500 for was in terrible condition (it was wrinkled, damaged, and thread was all over it, lace was missing, it was torn, and overall TERRIBLE) even the wedding dress associate that sold me the dress was embarrassed. They promised they would make it right, I went and finally picked it up yesterday the Manager "Bonnie" was terrible, she was mean, rude, and overall just not a pleasant person to deal with. Long story short DO NOT BUY from this place you will be less than pleased. Bonnie- The manager was the ruddiest person I have ever met or dealt with in my life. Erin- The assistant manager was ok to deal with even though she never resolved the issues. Kimberly- The associate that sold me the dress was amazing to work with it is not her fault that she works for a terrible company that does not follow through with what they say...

I was just looking through my daughters pictures from her Sweet Thirteen Party and realized that I never did my review, so here I am! :) The day that we went into Alfred Angelo, we were "looking, not buying". Or at least so I thought. As my daughter tried on dress after dress, she wasnt finding anything that she liked. I really apologize because I cannot recall the names of the two individuals that helped us but it was one male and one female. In any event, they were AWESOME! As my daughter explained to them how elaborate this party was that she had requested, the male party says "Oh, none of those dresses will do. I have the PERFECT DRESS!" At this point, I have a seat, because now I am nervous. My daughter disappears to the dressing room with the female party to take off the dress that she has on. He passes another dress to them in the dressing room, sits down next to me, and smiles. My daughter comes out of the dressing room looking like a PRINCESS (profile picture) and she is GLOWING! Needless to say, I purchased the dress. I know my review is a bit long, but I wanted to paint a full picture of how attentive they were to my daughter. They could have easily brushed her off and went to deal with one of the brides in the store, but they gave her the exact same attention that the bridal parties were getting. She felt so special and got so many compliments on her dress! Im off the hook for a Sweet Sixteen Party but we will be back for Prom!!!! Thank You!!!!!
