DONNA MARCHANT
I brought my Tahoe in on 9/28 for service on a brake issue and because my tire pressure indicator was on. I was called later that morning and told I needed a new caliper and also a new tire because there was a "shard of metal" in the outer tread of the tire. I declined the new tire and requested the spare be installed. I wanted to see for myself that it needed to be replaced. I requested the tire be put in the trunk area of my Tahoe. At that time I was told that parts had to be ordered so my truck would not be ready till the following day 9/29. I did not receive a call at any time on 9/29, so at 3:30pm I called to see if my truck was going to be ready. My service adviser Nathan was on another call. I left my name & number with the lady that answered the call. She said she would have him call me back. At 5pm I still had not received a call so I called back. I was told Nathan was with a customer. I was asked if I wanted to leave my name & number. I explained I had already done so that I was trying to find out if my vehicle was ready. At this point I was pretty annoyed. The lady that answered put me on hold to see what she could find out. After holding about 5 minutes she came back on the phone and told me that my truck wasnt ready. She said the parts had "just come in". At 5pm...seriously? The next morning Nathan called to let me know my truck was finally done. I picked it up about 4pm that day. When I picked up my truck the "bad" tire was mounted up under the vehicle where the spare usually goes. I had requested it be put in the trunk are of my truck so I could look at it. I had to return the next day to get some assistance with lowering the tire from the spare area. The tube that the jack is put into was loose & misaligned. Nathan was helping me with the tire when another service employee walked out to my truck and began tinkering with it. I have no idea what his name or function was, but he was RUDE at best. I asked a question regarding the tube being lose his snappy reply was "mine is like that". Honestly, I DO NOT CARE about his vehicle I was inquiring about the one that I pay for. His attitude was not necessary or appreciated. I finally got the tire off and went on my way. I took the tire into a repair shop today 10/2 to see if I did indeed need a new tire. I DID NOT. The "shard" of metal was thru the tread of the tire. It did not penetrate the tire causing the flat. There was a nail in my tire. Had my tire been properly inspected and/or removed from the rim this would have been discovered. Needless to say this will be my last visit to Gordon Chevrolets service department. There has been a significant decline in the quality of service there since Matt Grimes left.

Lease on my Chevy Cruz was nearing its end and I noticed passenger front window wasnt working properly. Made an appt on Monday November 10th at 1:30 to have it looked at. Took in at 1:30 and told service advisor Adam I was going to wait there as I had taken day off work to get this taken care of. I saw people going in and out and around 4pm I inquired what my vehicle status was. They forgot I was there and said they had to order a part. My oil change was never completed that I asked for either the entire time I was there. Scheduled an appt for the following Monday to bring in and get fixed and was told after work it would be fixed. I dropped off at 5pm and my girlfriend drove from Brownstown and we did some errands and went to dinner while waiting. At 8pm someone called me and stated there was a problem at check in with my tag number so my car had basically been sitting there all night. Very frustrated at this point and asked for a loaner vehicle to keep over night and have this fixed asap. A manager then advised me there were no loaners available and stated they would pull car in and work on it and have it done by 9pm. Another call came though maybe twenty minutes later and it was the service manager stating that once they pulled the door apart that the wrong part was ordered. It was supposed to be the passenger front but the passenger rear part was ordered by mistake. I wish I could remember his name but I dont. He then personally assured me he would get part ordered and have within 2-3 days. Today is November 29th over a week from when I was supposed to hear from him and still nothing. But that is okay because yesterday I turned in my vehicle to Dick Genthe Chevrolet and leased a new Malibu. I will no longer need services of any kind from Gordon Chevrolet. I am now dealing with a dealership and people who are not incompetent.

Time entered: 8:35am - 12:00pm (took one hour to establish my own insurance so total purchase time - 2.5hrs) Purchased a preowned vehicle today. During the test drive, my helper Michael was courteous, yet a bit pushy during what I need to be an enjoyable experience. I wont say I DIDNT enjoy it however, I dont want to talk about how much money Ill be putting down during the ride. I decided to come in that weekend to show my husband and purchase the vehicle. I called him to let him know that Id be there around noon (They close at one pm). I didnt arrive on time and he called me to make sure I was still coming at around 12pm. We showed up at 12:20pm. However, after my husband inspected the car and gave the approval, when we went inside he said it was too late to do anything then but we should fill out the credit application. I felt rushed so I declined and my husband and I ultimately didnt want to purchase the vehicle because we felt we couldve been told that before we took the thirty minute drive to Garden City. I must say that today when we went in for business it was a smooth process. Everyone was friendly, (I know, right!) and seriously made my first time car buying experience a breeze. Michael was very informative and considerate about allowing me to have all questions answered before signing anything. I didnt want to be a pain but it was important to me. I was able to print necessary documents on his computer and the finance manager gave me a decent apr. I am happy with the monthly purchase rate and benefits given with each package. I will refer a friend to Gordons because he was very polite in the end and made me feel good about the purchase.

Update to my review from 3 months ago. Gordon Chevrolet is still tops in my book. A colleague, upon my recommendation, leased an Equinox from Jim Nelson and had nothing but rave reviews for her experience. On May 3rd, I was in for service: oil change and tire rotation. The gentleman who checked my vehicle in was cheery and efficient. When the vehicle was finished (sooner than promised) he found me in the waiting area and escorted me to the cashier. She too, was pleasant and ready with a smile. As consumers we have plenty of choices for buying and servicing our vehicles. Any dealership can sell and service a car, but few can make the customer feel appreciated and respected. Thank you Gordon Chevy for going the extra mile in every department, every visit...you never disappoint and always exceed expectations. Below is my previous review. Everyone is kind and courteous. The waiting area is clean, and we enjoy the soda shop theme. This was the second time that the service department replaced my tire in one month (so happy I purchased the tire insurance when I leased my vehicle). I am a loyal Gordon customer who will not go anywhere else for sales or service. I have leased 5 vehicles from them (Jim Nelson is our favorite salesman). I have recommended them to my parents, sister, and friends. They too, are satisfied with their sales experience and service department. In addition to routine service appointments, I have had two vehicles repaired in their collision shop. My Chevy Equinox was returned to me in the same condition as when I drove it off the lot!
