While Ive seen amazing work by Jesse its not just about the work but also the customer service. Ive been here a total of 3 times with phone calls in between to get work done. My first time in no one would talk to me even though I had a picture on my phone of what I wanted. I was completely blown off. "I HAD to make an appointment." even though another time I was in a picture on a phone was looked at and customer was told come back after 5 for the work. The other times I was in and called I was told "no Im booked" by multiple artists for different days. I understand getting business but if artists are always booked how do you do walk ins? Lastly when I finally did get a consult I asked approximately how much, not looking for an exact quote I know better, but an estimate. Was told 270. I got tired of the run around and decided to give eternal tattoos a shot. They took what I wanted and drew it up on the spot and did my work at the same time also charging me $70 less and eternal tattoos is voted one of the best in metro Detroit. I got my work done at eternal & totally satisfied

For reference, its not my first. I have two others, one of which is of decent size. Being new to the area, I just picked the closest shop to my house. I have no idea if theyre good artists, but their service sucks. I emailed a design and she suggested I come in to chat. I came in on a day she suggested, but all artists were busy, which is no big deal. She was right there in front and didnt even glance up to say hi. She just whispered something to the piercing dude who was helping me and went back to work on her client. The piercing dude took some pics of my current shoulder tat that Im adding to, took some pics of the artwork I wanted, and said she would get back to me. 2 weeks later no one has contacted me. I found another studio for the 3 jobs I want done. It always confuses me when a local establishment doesnt want my money. Do I smell? I dunno...but I dont return to a place that wont call me back.

Paid a $100 dollar deposit and described to the artist what I wanted and scheduled first appointment weeks in advance, didnt get a drawing until the night before the appointment with the drawing not being what I wanted. Rescheduled appointment weeks later, again, to allow artist to draw up something that I approved. Artist didnt get back to me till the day before the second appointment saying he didnt have the time to do my tattoo anymore, only reason why this review isnt getting one star is because I got my deposit back. What a waste of time.

Had a great experience at Gypsy Kings! I wanted to get some work done, so I googled some of the best places to get ink in Michigan and Gypsy Kings was one of them. I checked out the artist portfolios and all look like they do quality work. After checking out some work from Jhed, I decided to contact him. He responded very quickly and within a month or so (due to my schedule) I had a sweet Detroit "D" and Red Wings logo done on my arm! I definitely recommend this place.

The piercer here is super great! The piercing work space is super clean. She cleaned all my jewelry before putting it in. Im afraid of needles but she was very patient with me. I highly recommend her if you are thinking about getting any piercings. Her work is great!
