First let me apologize to Mikey, the owner and crew at 1920 Tattoo for the late review. Now to everyone reading this for being sooo long. My wife had decided she wanted another tattoo. She did her research and decided on Mikey Slater at 1920 Tattoo. So we headed up to Helen to check them out. Not one but two of the employees, SaraRay and Jimmy greeted us when we came in for the consult. The artist we wanted to speak with, Mikey was busy at the time so Jimmy started the consult to go ahead and hear what we wanted and go from there. He listened and made suggestions on placement and size to get the detail we wanted. By the time we got all the details worked Mikey was finished. So we talked a little while and made the appointment. The day of the appointment the Mikey called to ask us if it was ok for us to come a little later than the appointment because he was running a little late with his current client. We told him it was ok. We got there and were greeted again by not one but two employees. We told them why we were there and they asked us to wait until Mikey could take a break. No problem we sat and looked at the flash and art that was around the shop. He took a break and came and explained his situation and asked what ours was. We told him we were leaving to go out of town the next day. Instead of sending us out the door for a later date he honored his agreement. He finished with his client and started with us. Eight hours later finishing at a little before four am. My wife had a bad ass tattoo that she is proud of. My comment to any bad reviews is this. Someone is trying to get free advertisements by bashing an upstanding and upright shop. I will stand behind 1920, Mikey and his crew. My wife and I will gladly answer any bad reviews just tell us when and where to meet.

Not sure what was wrong with the people writing bad reviews on this establishment, they are 100% amazing. I got a simple nose piercing but witnessed 2 tattoos being done. Both tatts turned out as beautiful art! My nose, I absolutely adore, and the price was right! Everyone was so accommodating and just an amazing atmosphere! I cant remember the name of who did my piercing but he was awesome! Thanks man I love it and this place rocks! Im trying to figure out how to post my photos.... as soon as I do everyone can see how happy I was with my experience!

These guys are AWESOME! Mickey Slater is the owner and previously worked at Miami Ink. He did an arm piece for my husband while we were in Helen on vacation and John Watts did a small cover up for me...both are amazing and we are super satisfied with our new tats :) I will drive the 6 hrs to use them for my next one!!

My girlfriend and I stopped by yesterday for the 4th to both get a tattoo. Sara did hers and Jimmy did mine. Both are extremely talented artists. They came out GREAT! Mikey runs the cleanest and best shop Ive ever been to. Will definitely be back for more. Thanks guys!

If your ever in Helen GA you have to see these guys ! My Mother in law got her first tattoo at the age 69 ! It"s a pink Breast Cancer ribbon. They treated her like a queen!

Jinked me out of $50. Didnt ask for a color palette as it was custom and to top it off, free staff infection.
