Im just being nice and giving it a star. Actually this place doesnt deserve any stars what so ever. The people were not pleasant to work with what so ever. A sales person greeted me at the desk and then went back into his back office. Left me there waiting for at least 10 minutes. Not only that but the other sales person helped a customer that came in after me. By the time that the other sales person came back from his office, I showed him what I had to sell. He wanted to give me a VERY low amount of money for the stuff that I had to offer. Even for the high valued stuff that I was offering. They also do not buy cloths and some electronics. Also the sales person had his handgun in full veiw, I did not feel safe in the shop for me and my daughter. The shop is unorganized and very messy. Please save youre time and DONT come here. You will receive very bad service and they will not give you the price that you are looking for. Take your things that you want to sell and go somewhere else. Honestly you will have a lot better time buying and selling on ebay then you will at this so called "pawn shop"

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!! this place is terrible i cant believe they call themselves a pawn shop or even better a business in general. they will tell you your stuff is crap but will still offer you very little money for it. it dirty distusting and smells very bad. the guys that work there are rude dirty unpleasant and down out right rude, they will talk to you like your an idiot and talk bad about people after they leave. i have been in there when they offered a lady 60 bucks for a google smart tv and we all know that is way unfair. warning to all women who enter here you will be treated like you are an idiot and that you know nothing about anything. save your gas and your time you would probaly get a better price for your stuff yelling it out in the streets. and yes jamie does create fake accounts to boost his ratings

CLEARLY the reviewers before me dont understand how pawn shops work. If you expect top dollar, go on craigslist. This shop is amazing! I have never had an issue. They have always giving me above the amount i expected (they dont know that...shhhh) they arent the most outgoing guys, but they are nice and respectful. Id go here any day over some others ive been to. When buying from them, they make sure you get what you pay for...and they arent afraid of giving you a deal as well. as far as the bad reviews go, keep in mind the reviewer ended up selling to uptown...so obviously they arent bad :) LOVE THEM. I dont know if my name will show up at the top, if not, i AM a real person and my name is Kalie Kamar...just so these wonderful guys dont get some more ridiculous accusations :)

I was on vacation recently and found myself In the market for a few items typically found at pawn shops like xboxs, tvs etc So doing a Google search I wound up at The Uptown Exchange.The staff were friendly and knowledgable, I thought it looked organized and plenty of stuff to choose from so I ended up working with Jaime and after I told him why I was there and what I was looking to do for a friend, he was very helpful and showed me some differences about TVs I didnt know, and hooked me up with a stellar deal on a multiple item pkg. I was thoroughly impressed and if online shopping is available I will continue to do business with Jaime and the Uprown Exchange! Thanks again Jaime!!

*****************ZERO STARS************* This is the lowest paying pawn shop for anything, take your business somewhere else because i brought in well over $3,500 worth of items, pawn value i would put it probably right around $900 bucks, the young goat faced mfr said he could give me 200 bucks for it all,... Took it to a place up 59 towards waterford and i got $1,200 for everything. Do not sell anything to these guys.... They will rip you off. Plus they use ebay as a price resource.... 75% of the 5 star reviews you see on google are all fake accounts created by the owners.

I am a current client of Jaimies. I started going to him for loans on items over a year ago. I have a family member who went there to pawn some valuable jewelry and some was quite sentimental. It took her awhile to get it out, and he was kind enough to give her a huge break! He has been more than fair working with us when late coming in...and extended our time. He is kind and friendly and I wouldnt go anywhere else! The place has been beautifully renovated...and a pleasure to visit! He has some unique and fascination items for sale. The atmosphere is very pleasant!

uptown exchange is a complete ripoff they dont even hold your stuff in the amount of time they give u, they sold my 47 inch flatscreen tv and xbox 360 5 days before the picup date and they didnt even put the pickup date on the ticket not to mention they only gave me $150 bucks for the $1,300 dollar flatscreen and a xbox 360 with 2 controllers and 5 games aswell as 85 dvds, i will never go back to that place and i hope whoever reads this will not give them any buiseness as well unless u want to get nothing for something they are thieves with a pawn shop.

they offer you the lowest prices on your goods that i have found anywhere. the staff tend to be rude and unpleasant in their dealings. im not the only person that has bought things here and turns out they were broken. they clearly have fabricated alot of these reviews in order to boost their appeal. everyone i know has nothing but negative remarks. not a place that ill go to again. merchandise over priced. i go to the pawn shop on duck lake, they always give me fair prices and are pleasent and reasonable with their pricing. the haggle is the best part.

This place is a great Pawn shop. What a lot of people dont realize is you are not going to get what your item is worth. Your going to get 15-25% that much so they can make a profit. I walked into here knowing this full on and still walked with a great deal. I even got them to raise the price a bit. Very nice guy. I can tell he meant business I think some people mistake that with him being an rude. Again this is a means for quik cash not a fare trade, if you keep that in your mind when you go here you will be happy walking out.

So much better than the old owner. Nice family friendly environment, bright, clean, and great customer service. They have a lot of different stuff for everyone. Stuff from when I was a kid too :) a lot of unique peices that would be awesome to own. Everytime I bring something in they are fair and look it over real good to find a value in it. Will definitely check here before paying full price for something somewhere else!!! Keep up the good work guys!!!

Sells items that they wont let you check out in store. Wont let you plug it in but BOAST that theres nothing wrong with it. Mind you, you just laid out $300. When you get it home you find a definite problem. Take it back and they accuse you that its not the same you left. They offer you $30 to take it back. An then what do they do with it??? put it back on table for the next looser. SCAM SCAM SCAM artists. STAY AWAY!!!!!!
