I took my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee in for service since it was leaking coolant from a busted hose and it was due to an oil change. I was checked in for my 1:30pm appt. by Robert who showed me to the waiting lounge at 1:40pm (I was texting updates to my husband so I know my timeline is accurate) after a little while Robert came back and said the source of the problem was a broken clamp that dropped the coolant hose down onto a pulley that wore a hole in it leading to the leak. He said it would be an "easy quick fix" and I would just need a new hose/clamp/coolant but that it could be taken care of today. At 2:02 I sent an update on the diagnosis of the problem to my husband...So the DIAGNOSTIC took AT MOST 22 MINUTES. At 2:18 Robert came back and said I was all set for today and the oil change was done but unfortunately they would need to wait to get the hose from Chicago and I would need to come back tomorrow. They offered me a courtesy car to make the wait for the part as convenient as possible which was nice. Robert then started to go over the costs of the work. At this point they have had my car in the shop from 1:40-2:18 (38 MINUTES)....so Robert tells me it will be $34.95 for an oil change...fine...$99 for the 1 HOUR of LABOR for the DIAGNOSITC that was completed today....UM, NOT FINE! I asked Robert how I could be charged for 1 hour of labor pertaining to the diagnostic when (1) I HAVE ONLY BEEN HERE FOR 38 MINUTES! (2) They also told me they completed the oil change in that time!??? Robert tried to come up with some excuse about them having to put the car up on a lift to diagnosis the problem and that was why I was being billed for an hour of labor and seemed to miss the point that MATHEMATICALLY you cant have worked on the car for 1 HOUR when you have only had it for at most 38 MINUTES which is LESS THAN 1 HOUR. So Robert went back to check with the mechanic that had marked 0.8 hours of labor (still not the hour I was being asked to pay for) and when he came back suddenly the Diagnostic was now only 30 minutes! Magic, $50 less! I then asked how long the install should take and Robert said an hour at most...when I went to pick up the car, I was charged for EXACTLY 1 HOUR to install 1 hose. Guess they should check out the YouTube videos that show you how to change hoses in 5-10 minutes! Most ironic thing about this poor experience was Robert and I had a discussion about ethics and honesty when he was doing the walk around for existing damage on my car. I told him exactly where all the scratches and dings were and he said he wished all customers were as honest/knowledgeable as me since they often have people try to claim the shop damaged their cars when in fact the damage had already been noted at the time they dropped it off for service. Well, Customers appreciate honesty too!

I bought my first car through Brookfield back in 2007 which was a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix a little over price but the market was a lot better at the time. It was a 6 year term car was more then dependable now has 285,000 miles on it and still runs, never really had to go back to the dealership. Since the car was so good to me I decided to go back. Purchased a 2011 Elantra on September 12, 2014. Main reason was the great gas mileage. Before I signed all paperwork I ask them if they could do the rotors and brakes, they came back with a report said they changed the back, well it was the front that was bad, so Sally came back said the bank would only finance $11,500 and the car was listed at $11,800 so I signed. After getting the car days later I realized the back bumper was crack and also scuffs on the front left side of car. I understand they didnt get what they wanted but to sell a car that needs brakes and rotors is shady to me. Make sure if you go through them you are very careful and dont jump into anything to quickly. Dear Owner of Brookfield Chrysler, I would like to thank you for showing your concern about my purchase from you guys I just wish that the people you have in charge where as concerned as you. I called as you had mention and also left a message with my name and phone number a few months back as you suggested. After a few weeks of no response I called once more did not leave a message the second time I called because I felt the first message was enough. In no way do I feel as though people there are unfriendly, I know Sally is amazing as a person and does what she can I just feel as though once the purchase is made not much care is given. Also upon receiving my first oil change they pointed out that the hood was bent or warped and has trouble closing. I guess this will be my $11,500 dollar lesson learned.

**6/15/16 Update** The 2009 Chevy Impala I purchased February 19th, 2016, well, the transmission went out. I assumed the Brookfeild dealership would take care of me and my scenario since I JUST purchased a car from them a few months back. Boy was I wrong! I was told I would get a great deal. The "great deal" car we looked at didnt feel all that mechanically sound, and the price tag was a slap in the face! Now I understand trade in on used, and defective cars wouldnt be what I owed... but the sales manager Jack went from giving me a low ball $1500 trade in offer, to a $2500 offer when I tried leaving. (Also, when I asked for my keys to my Impala which was sitting outside the service area UNLOCKED, I was told they couldnt give me the keys becuase service was closed... yet this guy helps manage this dealership? What a joke.) Price negotiations could have continued, but I chose not to shop here due to the tacky swindling they tried to pull over on me. It felt like a cheap car salesman tricking me. For a family-owned business to have these types of interactions, it is disgraceful. I spoke to Mr. Brookfeild himself, and he acted rude, and very defensive when I told him about my issue. He cut me off speaking a few times to defend these salesmen and tactics. My situation was a tough one... So, to end on a happy note, the LeValley car dealership on M139 is taking such great care of me. The car I am getting fits into my budget, and the trade in offer was a lot more than I expected to get. The guys at LeValley are really cleaning up after these Brookfeild crooks. Maybe a name edit for them should be "Crookfeild". Just a suggestion. Any hoo, be careful who you buy from. Definitely do not waste time or money at the Brookfeild Dealership.

I bought a 2013 chrysler 200 touring with sport trim. Ian Finn was my sales person, he did a good job. It was a car for my wife so it didnt really matter what I thought of it.. Purchases April 13th 2015. First oil change, early june. I took it in for the first oil change. Service technician could NOT find my information and stated I didnt pay for the 3 years of oil changes... so I have it changed out of pocket. Mid June we hit a barrel on the highway breaking the glass out of the mirror... got quoted $42 and when I went to get the part Mike stated it was $22 witch made me happy. Got it replaced. Every oil change sense I has been great! Love the service techs letting me look under my own car. People dont understand why.. I like to see what kind of Condition she is in... personally. Its easy for a tech to say its alright or in good condition. Nov. I had a window smashed, alarm didnt go off.. but they did not get in the vehicle.. so just know that with the alarms on these cars. Nov 26th. Wife brought it home with a knock. Now it gets to go to brookfield chrysler dodge jeep and ram for its first major service. I will let everyone know how it goes. It has been a good experience overall. Would I buy again? Yes I would buy another car from them. But just remember. It helps to know cars when buying them. My sales associate didnt know a lot about it but i did.
