We came out of a contractor nightmare a month ago that just seems to keep on givin. I called Home Depot to see if they could assist us with a problem created by our previous porch contractor (who up and quit April 27 when we wouldnt accept the decking hed ordered and installed that we never approved--taking our $20,000 with him). At Home Depot I had the pleasure of speaking with Damien Gray who listened, took notes, guided, and said hed make a call to the lumber yard who supplied their product to us at the behest of Contractor #1 to see if he could POSSIBLY mediate the problem so my husband I wouldnt get stuck with a whole bunch of lumber in a color we never approved but Contractor #1 had delivered. (Mind you, this WASNT Home Depots error on ANY level.) How often today do you get someone who says, "Its NOT our responsibility but it WAS purchased from us so well do whatever is necessary to right a wrong done to a customer"? Damien was there at 7;30am when my husband was in the store; he was there when I called at 5pm which was wonderful--I didnt have to tell our bad dream a second time. Damien was nearing the end of his shift; said hed be off tomorrow but would likely follow-up on this on Friday. When the phone rang 10 minutes later I was floored, and probably will be for a week. He did all he could and I felt heard and his guidance going forward was spot on. This is what makes me and my family loyal Home Depot customers. They talk the talk.

I would give them negative hundred stars if I can to because there is this unprofessional incapable piece of dump supervisor Shayla in appliance who does not deserve any jobs for the rest of her life. At the end of her call, she puts the customers on hold without saying anything. she kept on insisting to call the customer service instead because she cant do her job right. And then I called the store manager Damion or something and he was just like the same thing as shayla, an incapable nitpick trying to find the customer to blame so that they cant return things for the right reason. He just says he cant do anything and that the appliance company has to do this for them(basically that no worker in that home depot store has any kind of pride or capabilities. The workers at home depot are just incapable and unprofessional) then he hung up the phone without saying anything. What pieces of garbage works

I have been going here to get supplies for over 11 years since 1999 to get supplies for things that I build. I love doing DIY projects as well as other hobbies such as woodworking, metalworking and woodcrafting. This place has everything that one could possibly need for crafts and building, from power tools to wood for crafting. You just ask an employee how to do something, and they tell you the best way to do it! Along with being very helpful and very good at customer service and repairs, they also have very fair prices. I go there and instead of having people cheating me out of money, they give me very fair prices and good sales, such as 30 percent off sales instead of small, crappy sales.

Placed an order online that was intended for delivery, but got processed as pickup. I immediately called the store to correct it but the staff were completely unresponsive and rude. Heres how it went: someone picked up on the 15th ring. I explained the situation calmly. Without a word or explanation the man then transferred me to another department. Another 15 rings later someone answers in an angry tone "can you hold?!". A little surprised but still trying to be understanding I reply politely "sure, no problem." Ive now been on hold 20 minutes and doesnt seem theyre coming back. The service here isnt just bad, its non-existent.

More often than not Im satisfied with the overall service provided by the sales staff. I experienced a 45 minute wait in trying to get someone to assist me with the grills. I finally gave up and went to a different location. Unfortunately they didnt have the one I wanted assembled. A day or two later I returned to the West Roxbury store. This time I went directly to the customer service desk. The young lady that helped me was very apologetic and saw to it that I was promptly taken care of. I prefer this store over the others because of its close proximity to my home. Im going to chalk this up to an off day!

While its not really next to any other stores in this location (its not too far from a Lowes if you want to do a bit of comparison shopping) this store is a little larger than the more central location in Dorchester. The selection is a little better, the people are a little less frazzled and they a few "departments" that the smaller stores lack. If youve been having trouble finding a particular item, its certainly worth checking here, but otherwise its likely a bit more out of your way, and certainly further from the interstate.

The service was absolutely awful. There was something wrong with my Home Depot card, so I went to customer service. The lady behind the desk was scanning a box of bagged bolts or some other things. After confronting the lady about my problem, she replied "Ok" and continued scanning until she finished the whole box and sorting the items. She helped me for about a minute and told me my card was invalidated and continued with her business.

I have nothing positive to say about this store, except the convenient location. I made an appointment with the carpet department - the lady was out "for lunch" from 6:00 PM till the time I left. It took 45 mins to get her manager to complete the order. The return department is a hit or miss, whatever the mood strikes. Please hire more competent and more customer service oriented people!

Worst HD Ive ever visited. Staff universally rude and lazy . When I asked for a right angle union for a washer hose one employee waved in the general direction of plumbing - never did find the part. When I got to checkout with the rest of my purchases the only lane open was the self service lane.

I called and asked if they had a certain item, (Black stainless steel Samsung microwave) She replied yes. I drove a half hour to the store. She says oh you wanted to take it home? We can order it for you. Talk about a moron. I hope shes reading this too. Quit your job. Fuggin idiot.

Schedule an appointment for measurement toward stormdoor installation, paid 30 bucks, never hear about them again, called a couple of time for their door department, nobody seems working there. Will not go homedepot as possible as I can. I will go lowes or other stores.

Half the price scanners dont work. Staff seems to avoid you when you want help. Limited items over other close by Home Depots. Just go the the Lowes down the street or the Quincy Home Depot for better luck.

No one knows where anything is, or what anything is called. Isles are a mess of empty boxes and torn apart merchandise on the floors...so standard for a Lowes store. There is a Home Depot 10 minutes away.
