THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL RIP- OFF............On Monday January 18, 2016 I purchased what the store claimed to be a 10 week old Love Bird. After I got the bird home it evaded capture for nearly a hour. I never flew into a window " we have lots of windows in our house by the way " Its wings were fully grown and when I was finally able to catch it, was bitten over and over again by a angry bird. The following day I brought the bird to a local vet and had it examined, the vet reported that the bird seemed to be about 2 years old, had fully developed wings, thus allowing it to fly and be uncatchable for about a hour before it finally got tired and ran out of gas, ending up on the floor where it quickly ran and hid under the couch. A 10 week old Love Bird is not capable of such prolonged flight so I was informed by a fully licensed Vet. Today Wednesday I called the pet shop and advised them of the situation. The person on the phone became arrogant, belligerent and abusive before hanging up the phone on me. A 10 week old love bird should still have some peach fuzz for feathers, have clumsy flight and not be capable of knowing how to play with a number of toys I had purchased for it. Being able to avoid flying into windows as the other 2 birds which were also being for sale should have been a warning sign for me, the wings on this bird were FULLY developed!!!. BY NO MEANS WAS THIS A 10 week old bird!!!! I signed a paper upon purchase of the Love Bird thus signing away my rights to a refund except in the case of the bird having some horrid disease which I would have to pay a vet for to determine whether it had it or not. IN MY OPINION PARK AVENUE BIRDS & PET SUPPLY IS A WASTE OF TIME AND A TOTAL RIP-OFF. DONT GO THERE, AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE ID WOULDNT EVEN BUY A MILK BONE BISQUIT FOR A DOG THERE.I WAS CLIPPED $125.00 PLUS TAX THAT I CAN KISS GOOD-BY. THIS PLACE IS A R-I-P - O-F-F.

I left my daughters birds for two weeks at "I thought" was this reputable pet store while going vacation. When you walk through the doors the stench of the place was so bad that I wanted to puke. I should have immediately ran out the door but we needed someone to watch my daughters birds. When we entered the store we were taken to the back room where they kept the other birds. This place was a disgrace. This place was "FILTHY". When I say filthy, it looked like I was never ever cleaned. The stench of bird droppings got me so sick. When we came back from vacation and picked up the birds the cage was NEVER ever cleaned. I had placed a small piece of paper at the bottom of the cage and it was still there after two weeks so I know the cage was never cleaned. As soon as we got home I took the birds out of the cage to clean it and I see these little red dots on the birds. THEY HAVE MITES. THANK YOU PARK AVENUE BIRDS AND PET SUPPLY. THANK YOU SO MUCH for the discusting bird mess you left me with. Thank you for the bugs my birds got from your infested haven. I paid you $170 for what, giving my birds MITES, starving my birds AND not cleaning the cage. You need to be shut down. Your place is a DISGRACE. Not fit to take care of any animal that walks through that door. You dont deserve to be open. You dont even deserve one STAR.

NOT GOOD. The Love Bird which I picked up and brought home on Jan 18, 2018 was found DEAD in its cage early Wednesday about 9AM. I paid $125 for a bird that lasted 2 days. Nice deal. The pet shop did refund my payment which included a bag of their recommended bird food. Im not going to go into a bunch of technical long drawn out technical stuff. I admit that the store manager and owner did the right thing. I was so upset at what happened I admit I did get all choked up and tears of grief ran down my face as I handed them the Love Bird which I named " RED " because of its Red beak. I have read about the experiences of others who have dealings with this particular pet shop. Not all of them were happy campers. I should have read about their experiences first. I have owned birds of all types that date back to my first parakeet back when I was a young boy, I took wonderful care of them and they lived very long happy lives. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH PARK AVE BIRD & PET SUPPLY EVER AGAIN.

My lovebird needed to have its nails trimmed so I left it for my nephew to take care of. They did a wonderful job. The bird was so happy. There were so many people there he thought it was a Christmas sale going on. So many birds for sale, I was told. Clean, well lit store, A huge parrot was very friendly & was kissing his finger he told me. The little love bird was chirping back at all the other birds who were chirping themselves. He didnt see any birds who were dying, nor unclean places in the store. He didnt see any puppies living in dirty pens, they looked happy, clean & were playing with customers who were near to their area inside the other part of the store. Its nice to know there are stores who provide something for FREE nowadays. You dont get anything for free at the big brand name stores thats for sure. Will go there again.

This miserable c*** tried to sell me a sick puppy from a puppy mill claiming it was AKC registered and a certain color. What she actually tried to sell me was a poor, sick, frail little puppy who was much younger than 8 weeks old and was APR registered. When I asked if I could be put into touch with the breeder she actually had the balls to lie to my face and tell me they were an Amish family from the Midwest and wouldnt speak to me. End result she refused to give me my deposit back after presenting a puppy which wasnt what I was paying for, and I went on to find a reputable AKC breeder and now own a healthy registered adult dog. People dont get a dog the easy way, and especially NOT through this store! The AKC has a search for reputable breeders in every state

terrible! I just recently had a nasty experience here ......avoid this place!! Puppy mill dogs!!!!! ! researched the paperwork that came with the dog and it is a awful mill ....I even found pics on the net from the offices that closed it several times. The two woman running this place called and called, after I gave them a deposit on a dog to pay on the phone (before even seeing the dog in person!!! )They are pushy and rude and I realize this place is scam-like making huge profits puppy -mill dogs from the south. Please call around for a breeder for the breed you want.I believed them when they said thats where they came from. Soooo Sad . I feel really guilty..thanks to god (dog seems healthy for the moment.)
