I had my apartment key copied, but they copied it incorrectly and the key didnt work. Not a big deal, this is why I tested the key before I needed it, right? So I go back to HD, the copied key *taped to the receipt* and my only original on my keychain, with my other keys. In order to save 5-10 cents on the blank, I guess, the keysmith decides to cut back over the blank to see if that will fix the problem. But, somehow, the guy switches them, and copies my original to the bad copy! So now its late on a weeknight, Im locked out of my apartment, and my landlord is out-of-state and cant let me in. I drive BACK to Home Depot, confront the keysmith, but he just shrugs and says "theres nothing I can do." Panicked, I go get the manager, who, after a few minutes of "what do you want me to do?" cluelessness, gets a locksmith for my apartment, and agrees to reimburse me the bill. I pay $255.00 to get back into my apartment. Heres the crazy part -- This all took place back in February and I STILL havent been reimbursed. The manager lost my contact information (!!!) for a couple of months, the check got "lost in the mail" (right...), he sent it certified mail, but I wasnt home when they tried to deliver it and it was returned. THEN he tells me to drive up to Home Depot myself (I had moved in the meantime, and wasnt anywhere near that Home Depot), but when I get the time to drive up there, the check is void. I still havent gotten a refund on that key cutting either:-p If I had just gotten a "Thats horrible, were SO sorry -- have a $20 gift card and our sincere apologies for the trouble weve caused you!" to begin with, and a speedy check delivery, Home Depot would have 5 stars in my book. But, as an engineering student who has spent hundreds of dollars there, and would have likely spent much, much more -- Im going to LOWES! Managers name is Sandy, if you want to know who NOT to deal with.

Horrible customer service. We were billed for purchase of a washer and dryer, given an invoice for $1483 then receive a statement with the credit card for a charge of $1961 a few weeks later after the merchandise was delivered and installed. We went to the store customer service where the manager said we were correct. The guy Paul who rang us up initially spent the next 2 hours keeping us waiting trying to figure out how he had billed us. No one in the store could understand what had happened. We were asked to wait till next day when Paul was to come back to us with details after talking to someone more experienced. He called back the next afternoon telling us that the charge on the card was correct - no explanations as to why we have an invoice for $1483. He assured me that the appliances manager would call me back to resolve the difference- as I dont want a $1961 set. NO CALLS YET - 3 DAYS. I NOW HAVE LOST ALL CONFIDENCE IN THIS STORE and the brand. NO WAY TO TREAT A CUSTOMER. WE ARE AT OUR WITS END!!!! *****UPDATE 07/19 - 2 WEEKS LATER - STILL NO RESOLUTION - CHEATS

Absolutely wretched, only met one friendly associate out of at least 15. The 6 people running the service desk not only laughed at me when I asked a question, they proceeded to accuse me of trying to steal and make them have to get up from their stool to look for something. The 3 associates in the pluming department, where I was directed to, all knew absolutely nothing about what I was talking about. And I was accused of being a "stupid millennial" because I was trying to purchase a certain product. I will not be returning and Im just happy that my purchase was going on a company credit card. I was just trying to be nice and friendly because I used to work in big box retail, I know it can be tough. But its no excuse to treat customers like trash.

Ron, an older gentleman, in plumbing is like Mr. Wizard. I wanted to make a pseudo shower at the beach from one of their orange "Homer" 5 gallon buckets using a garden faucet. He knew exactly the parts I needed in the Plumbing department AND in the Electrical department and help me look at different ways to make it as I wanted to do it as cheaply as I could. I was amazed when I told him what I wanted to do, he only had to think like literally 5 seconds and then made a bee line for parts. I was very impressed!

I am there twice a week. Cant say i like their lumber-all hockey sticks and mostly green, but its handy for me as i do all manner of renovation. Im doing a basement now and got a big glop of SAP on my nose today-not a problem you have with lumber-yard lumber. Short staffed i fortunately dont have too many questions cause the 3-deep wait in line for help can waste a lot of time. Still, it is handy. Manage your expectations and you wont be disappointed !

I had bought a wonderful floor lamp here about 10 years ago, but the switch stopped working for one of the lights. Rousseau, a skilled and kind electrician took the time very early in the morning to replace the switch. I greatly appreciate his looking out for me instead of just trying to sell me a new lamp. I will certainly do more business with the Waltham Home Depot, and have told others about my experience as well.

Normally satisfied with a visit to The Depot, but today, their payment system was down and they could only accept cash. There were no announcements made and it was a supreme waste of time to have spent shopping and in line only to have to settle for one item. Let us know and make our own decisions on whether to wait it out or leave.

If it werent for the CEOs politics, Id give it four stars. But its not like one has a lot of choices. Theres Lowes, but they have far fewer locations in the Boston area. For you Costco lovers (like me) this Home Depot location has the benefit of being right up the hill from the Waltham Costco location.

Called about renting a van for moving. The guy asked me if I was buying something to move from HIS store. I said no and he told me he would not rent it out to me if someone who was buying something from HIS store wanted over me. Are you kidding me lol? Trash customer service. Would give zero if I could.

It gets the job done. The location right off of the highway is the best feature and they had the hardware that I needed. Their staff has made huge improvements in helpfulness in the past year in finding what you need with their handheld PDAs which check stock live.
