I was unpleasantly surprised with the service my maid of honor and I received upon our first visit to New York Lace. We waited over a half an hour while several women stocked racks.So...now I am left to wait while the meter is running without an update from anyone. Again...I made an appointment. I drove about a half hour to Taunton and paid for parking. Waste of time...an hour of travel and a half hour sitting around. I went to New York Lace because of their affiliation with the Knot and figured that a BRIDAL boutique would be better managed and able to assist customers when they make an appointment. On our way out, we were told that they were understaffed and there was only one bridal consultant. They added that the bride before me ran very late and the bridal consultant was now taking her lunch break because she needed to take medication. Um, ok...really? The woman who said goodbye was pleasant and seemed like she had the farewell and Im sorry speech pretty well rehearsed. It sounded like this happens all the time. I was expecting for her to tell me that she would be right with us if we could wait five more minutes, which is not what happened. I wonder if they were going to keep us there waiting for a half hour lunch break if I didnt end up going back to the counter to let her know we were leaving. I know several brides getting married in 2013 and I would never recommend this business. Hopefully, it was a fluke and no one else wastes as much of their time as I did. Terrible.

I bought my wedding dress at New York Lace, and my bridesmaids and mother also got their dresses there. The women at New York Lace have been extremely helpful throughout the process. They were patient during our appointments and provided helpful guidance in times of indecision. They were upfront about what changes could be made with dresses and were quick to check with manufacturers to double check options, such as extended trains etc. After the dresses were purchased they followed up and even mailed swatch colors. Once the dresses arrived, they were flexible in scheduling fitting appointments (very important since many of my bridesmaids are out of state). The seamstress, Lucia, is extremely skilled. She listened attentively to concerns about both my dress and the concerns of a few bridesmaids, and altered our dresses expertly. She even made a few design changes at our request to alter the silhouette of my wedding dress and to help one of my bridesmaids cover a scar. I highly recommend New York Lace and appreciate all they have done to make what could have been a very stressful process go so smoothly.

I went to buy my senior prom dress and I fell in love with my dress in the store, I was excited to buy and soon to wear it. But coming home and looking at other dresses on the website, I came to see I didnt really care for my dress and found something I loved even more. My dress hangs on me very odd, too low in the back to the point were you can see my butt. I went to get my recipe and saw on it that it is non-refundable which I was not told when I bought the dress. I called to see if I could do anything return it or exchange it. They werent helpful on the phone, constantly asking my name over and over. To just tell me it was the in the contract which I was not aware of, and I even went on to say I saw a dress I liked on the website and still no help. Dont buy from stores that dont offer a exchange or return.

We went there for a dress for my mother in law ( mother of the groom ) we pulled all the dresses we liked some bridesmaids dresses some mother dresses the super rude attendant refused to put her in some dresses probably cause the price was low and the commission wouldnt be great. Kept making comments like youre wearing the dress not the bride how do you feel so what if she dont like it... The made a comment like you shouldnt feel less superior to the mother of the bride .to top it off the store ordered a hitious dress the may not even come in on time.. My fiance and I left in tears

I have gone here twice so far and I havent had any "terrible service." About 7 years ago I had gotten a Jr prom dress from here (which I was crowned princess) Recently I bought my wedding dress and I am extremely happy with the services that has and continues to be provided. Also, giving them a call soon for my bridesmaids to look for a dress. Maria and the owner of NYL were very nice to me and my family. They made sure I was approached and explained about the slight delay. (Which is normal for bridal shops)

Just went here this weekend to pick out bridesmaid dresses. They were extremely informative and knowledgeable about the industry, designers, ordering process, fittings, and dress styles. They listened to what the bridesmaids liked and wanted, as well as me, the bride, and were able to help us all make a decision. There were 9 of us and they kept us on track and organized! I would recommend them to anyone!!!
