Im a new customer to this store and I dont regularly enjoy writing reviews; but Cycle Lodge has immediately made my MUST go-to list for anyone--though especially someone looking for PASSIONATE EXPERTS who are more than willing to share their advice and love of cycling to those getting more involved. They are meticulous with their repairs/body-work, have a Certified Masters BodyGeometry Fit Technician, and individually 20+ years of personal knowledge/advice. MY SUMMARY: JUST GET OUT OF BOSTON/YOUR TOWN AND GO THE DISTANCE TO THIS STORE… THEY MAKE IT WORTH IT AND MADE ME FEEL LIKE FAMILY--just as reviewer Christine Kingston has said. But feel free to read all my details below. I visited 5 different stores while trying to locate answers to questions and the right fit for my needs--but Cycle Lodge stood alone in a multitude of ways. They stand out so much, that I wont hesitate to make the commute from Boston to Pembroke (in traffic!!!) any given day. Not only were they (owners: Beth & Jim) the only store to openly supply me with super detailed advice and opinions, but not once did I feel as though my decisions were being influenced in a particular manner. They work as a true team and they always listened carefully in order to go above and beyond while answering my (numerous) questions in a highly unbiased and thoughtful manner. By this I mean, they usually supplied me with additional answers to questions I wasnt even aware to ask--but that they foresaw as also being an issue in relation to what I was asking or wanting. Its like watching mind-readers. Being someone who wants to know a lot about everything, this was perfect for me. Other stores typically gave me a bare bones answer or one so generic such as its really about what your fit is, but then no real answers about what I should be considering. With Jim and Beth, it was closer to, "try out a bunch of our bikes outside the store and really get an actual feel for the differences". Then theyd discuss those differences with me and really narrow down what I was noticing, what I wanted more of or less, theyd speak brand/material differences as well. At some point, I had to take a second spin on the same bikes just to make sure I wasnt getting confused… but even this was good by them. I couldnt believe. They were willing to spec out multiple bikes for me, be patient with my decision period, and when I finally ordered they were even willing to rush some processes (that Im pretty sure they really dont have time for without going out of their way). THEY STAYED LATE MULTIPLE TIMES because I was on a semi-urgent need to acquire and fit the bike by a specific date. Truthfully, I just lost track of time while being in their store because theyre so friendly and will just keep helping you out. Never once did they suggest that they really should be going--and REALLY, I should have gone on my own because it was waaay past their closing hours. In truth, you forget what time it is because theyre just that cool--and like its been said--they make you feel like family from day 1. Anyways, I hate to get peoples hopes up high, but I dont think theyll disappoint, and I really couldnt have asked for a better experience. Thank you Cycle Lodge and I look forward to seeing more of you in the future--lets hope you feel the same. ;-)

My first pair of bike shorts were from the Cycle Lodge when they closed their location in Hanover, MA. Im happy to see theyve re-opened in Pembroke. I went in today for the first time - and the owners were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and friendly! The prices were very competitive - at the time when I went to the shop a tune-up was around $75 - great deal. The Cycle Lodge owners also host group rides on Sundays. I highly recommend checking this shop out!

I just came back from a bike fitting and it was actually more like having a physical at the Dr.s Beth is very knowledgeable and she made sure that what she was doing to my bike was to help improve my overall riding expirence. I have quite a few medical problems, which she addressed thoroughly to try and avoid adding more pain then I am already in. If you have any biking issues or questions I highly recommend you go visit them.

I would highly recommend this shop as the owners are great people and care about their customers. I went in for a fitting and was extremely happy with the prices and service. While they can share experiences in biking at all levels, they are not the elitist bike snobs that you will find at many shops. Rather, you can tell that they enjoy people and the pleasure everyone gets from the sport.

The cycle lodge is the best bike shop around. They stand by the bike they sell, even after two years. Jim and Beth take the time to educate you on bike use and maintenance. They are fair when it comes to unique situations and cost. They also are fair with minor adjustments. It is evident they are in this business for the love of the sport!

The owners, Beth and Jim, are knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are very reasonable. I needed a bike for my place in Virginia and I bought it at Cycle Lodge and drove it all the way down just so I didnt have to go anywhere else.
